Error opening door or lid

I have a printer HP OfficeJet Pro 8600.

I had to replace a cyan color cartridge. After I did, an error message came "the door or lid must be closed for print."

The door is not open. I have downloaded and run the HP hardware Diagnostics and it comes up with the door closed and put the cartridges in. I did at the time - several times.

Still the error.  This is NUTS!

It was a good printer until this absurd error.

I saw a large NUMBER of similar complaints with the HP printers with no real solution?

Help, please.

MY PRINTER WORKS!

After many attempts to solve the problem by changing the cartridges, I leave it power up and let remain inactive.   After 5 minutes or so, she erased the fault and worked well.  I'm not using it for a company so it would not be an option for many.

THEN I tried another method.  While the printer "warms up", I clicked 'Print' on one of my documents.  Printing began as soon as he finished warming up.  Now when I turn on the printer, it lights correctly.

HOPE THIS PROCEDURE WORKS FOR YOU ALL.

  • Photosmart C4480 - error opening door

My printer is not working due to error 'door open '. I tried to restart the printer, change the cartridges; I tried to restart the spooler to print via the control panel (such as suggested for a different model). I can't find other solutions to try. Is there a sensor somewhere on the printer that may need repair. If Yes, whether the sensor is located? Is there anything else you can think of that might work?

Thank you for any given advice.

    Hello

The "door open" message only when the door is open or if something is wrong with the sensor and the sensor flag.

The door sensor is visible when the door is opened - located on the left side of the opening, about an inch under a silver screw head. (rather difficult to describe where it is.) The sensor is a horizontal black bar. If you see it, try to press on it inside with something thin like a paper clip. Press the sensor on a 1/2 ". If the message 'door open' goes away, then you know that your sensor is good. Then, look to see where the flag of the probe is located at the back of the door. Again, it is on the left side to the top of the door. The flag is simply a part of the plastic which comes out far enough to engage the sensor. Let me know what you observe.

  • 'Open doors' error on HP OfficeJet 6600

    Hello

I have a printer HP OfficeJet 6600. After I changed the 932XL with a new black print cartridge (original), I get an error: door open, with the message: "the door or lid should be closed to print. Make sure it is completely closed. »

I checked the front and rear, door as well as the top cover (copy/scan), and all of them are CLOSED

Any help? Any clue? Any idea?

    Thank you

    CAT

Yes. I solve the problem, but in a way no, proffesional.

I discovered that, when changing the black cartridge, a small pin located in the upper right of the front door, was broken (reliability?, quality?).

Then I discovered that the PIN around which the Panel is rotating... is not only a PIN (hinge), but, if it is pushed in (horizontal movement) can act as a sensor push-pull. I stuck the "pin" with a small piece of paper o, I closed the door (with the broken ankle and... it works.)

Hope that my non-professional explanation has been authorized.

    Kind regards

  • OfficeJet pro 8610: open door error ADF

The ADF begins to pull on a page then stops and says that there is a door open ADF error.  I don't see where this would be. This is the first time I've ever used the ADF, so I can't tell if it worked before or not.  The cover is not closed tight on the glass... which means that there is like a 1/4 "crack all around.  I put the weight down on it and tried again, but which did not help. Any suggestions?

    Hello @Idempke, greetings!

Thanks for joining the HP Forums. I would like to help

I understand that you are getting the error ADF door open on your printer. Try following the steps and check them out below:

Make sure that the doors of the ADF are closed on both sides. Please check the picture below. The red part surrounded by a circle is the ADF door. You can open the door and close the door with little force.

If the problem persists, try to unplug the printer from the power outlet when the printer is turned on. Wait 2 - 3 minutes then turn on the printer and check.

Let me know how it goes

Although my 6310 All in One Printer is out of date and guaranteed, all I want to know is; How can I get this message deleted? Otherwise, my printer does not work. I think it has to do with the cartridges, but I replaced both of them and the message remains in place blocking printing.

  • "There was an error opening this document, the file is damaged and could not be repaired." by e-mail

I get "there was an error opening this document, the file is damaged and cannot be repaired." Sometimes it works, but more often than not I get this message when you try to open a PDF well my IMAP email server. I also have the latest player adobe downloaded on my computer and I have run Norton 360, which is to day saying my computer is free from any malicious dishes. Help, please!

    Hello ErikAtkinson,

You can try saving the PDF file on your desktop before trying to open it.
See if that helps with corruption problems.

If this isn't the case, then I suggest that you post in the forums Adobe for Adobe Reader. I have included a link below:

  • Outlook Express (XP) - Error Message "there was an error opening this message. An error has occurred. "When you try to open an e-mail.

I can not open e-mails or addressbook from OE.

When you open an email, I get the following messages, 'there was an error opening this message.  An error has occurred. "However, I can save an email on my desk (cause I can't open it) and receive the following error message while trying to open my office on the second dialog box AFTER the above message, Outlook express could not be started.  It can be installed incorrectly.  Make sure your disk is not full and you're not out of memory.  Contact Microsoft support for further assistance (0x8004104F)".  I'm not out of disk space or memory.

When I try to open the address book within the OE, the error message says "unable to open the address book.  The AddressBook is may not be installed correctly.  I check that the WAB file is not read-only (as a matter of fact, I can open the WAB file directly by double-clicking in Explorer and email as an 'Action' very well).  Also, I check register and I have not any sharing with Outlook 2007.  I continue to receive emails and such mentioned, can send through the WAB file.

There was an update of Windows by 18 points before it do not longer work.  I don't have a record of what has been installed.  I tried to come back a week to a previous restore point, but told me that nothing has changed.

Help, please.  This has worked well for years.

Remove Folders.dbx. If you can get OE open, create a new book of identity and address.

In Windows XP, the files of user OE (DBX and WAB) are by default marked as hidden. To view these files in Windows Explorer, you must enable Show hidden files and folders under start | Control Panel | Folder Options icon | Opinion, or in Windows Explorer. Tools | Folder options | View.

The path to the message will be very similar to this:

    C:\Documents and Settings\Your User of utilisateur\Local Settings\Application Data\Identities\ {long string of letters & numbers} \Microsoft\Outlook Express

With OE closed, find the Folders.dbx file and delete it.  Another will be created automatically when you open OE.

    Note these possible side effects:

When you re - start OE, it will build a new index of all *.dbx files it can read and create a new Folders.dbx. However, understand that you will lose the mail directory structure and message rules will probably have to be edited.

Hi and thanks for your time.

The program was an application to create your own music

I don't have any problem installing other applications programs...

The solution was a scan with malware bytes who discovered infected with the registry data.

So I deleted it and after running a lot on the line scans, I deleted the program, I wanted to install.

    Everything is still better then...

  • Previously, work job FTP in the batch file gives message "error opening script file.

I have two FTP jobs on two separate machines that I've been running as tasks scheduled for a few years with success.  They are on the same network, but we're on the field, the other is out of the field.  Both are Windows XP SP3.

Starting this week, two of them fail when you try to load the actual script FTP file.    Here is an example of the ftp command that I use: FTP d - n-i-s:C:\scripts\getmyfiles.txt

The message says "Error opening C:\scripts\getmyfiles.txt" and displays help FTP.  I should also mention that the FTP seems to work fine if I connect from the command prompt, and does not use a script file manually.

Both of these batch files containing similar (different but calling script files) FTP commands were executed the week last successfully.

    Any suggestions are appreciated!
