Error recovery from computer to factory settings

original title: installing Windows vista error has occurred

Okay, Im already on the process to restore my laptop to its factory settings, unfortunately there was an error. "Before the error, there was a blue screen saying" Please wait while windows continues to set up your computer "then error (too fast for me to read).

"It restarts (notebook) then there was an error saying once again" the computer restarted unexpectedly or encountered an unexpected error. Windows Setup cannot continue. To install windows click ok to restart the computer, and then restart the installation.

The problem is that I keep hitting ok, but Ive done the same thing (press OK) all over again.  any suggestions how to solve this problem? Thank you

If you use recovery or a partition of the manufacturer's recovery disks to restore the computer to factory settings, you must contact the manufacturer of this problem because the recovery process is their process - not Microsoft.  We have enough information to help you.  Each manufacturer is different.  We don't even know the manufacturer here.

I'm sorry, we can not be more help, but you must deal with the manufacturer about this.

Good luck!

ps. Based on the following link, its original operating system was:

Windows Vista Edition Home Premium with Windows Media Center with Vista Service Pack 1 (64-bit)

    Thanks for your help

    Hi Jason,

Since you did a factory restore, you must get in touch with the manufacturer of the computer, for assistance in the recovery, files.

You can also use your favorite search engine looking for a third party recovery tool recover files.

Note: The use of third-party software, including hardware drivers can cause serious problems that may prevent your computer from starting properly. Microsoft cannot guarantee that problems resulting from the use of third-party software can be solved. Software using third party is at your own risk.

  • How to restore the computer to factory settings?

I want to restore my computer back factory settings im tp do not know how to do that please inform me on what I do you solved the problem

Vista recovery media obtain and/or use the Partition Recovery Vista on your computer to the factory settings .

There is no Vista free download legal available.

Contact your computer manufacturer and ask them to send a recovery disk/s Vista set.

Normally, they do this for a cost of $ small.

In addition, ask them if you have a recovery Partition on your computer/laptop to restore it to factory settings.

See if a manual provided with the computer or go to the manufacturer's website, email or you can call for information on how to make a recovery.

Normally, you have to press F10 or F11 at startup to start the recovery process...

Another way I've seen on some models is press F8 and go to a list of startup options, and launch a recovery of standards of plant with it, by selecting the repair option.

Also ask them if it is possible to do the recovery disk/s for the recovery Partition in case of a system Crash or hard drive failure.

They will tell you how to do this.

Every computer manufacturer has their own way of making recovery disk/s.

Or borrow a good Microsoft Vista DVD (not Dell, HP, etc).
A good Vista DVD contains all versions of Vista.
The product key determines which version of Vista is installed.

There are 2 disks of Vista: one for 32-bit operating system, and one for 64-bit operating system.

If install a cleaning is required with a good DVD of Vista (not HP, Dell recovery disks):

Go to your Bios/Setup, or the Boot Menu at startup and change the Boot order to make the DVD/CD drive 1st in the boot order, then reboot with the disk in the drive.

At the startup/power on you should see at the bottom of the screen either F2 or DELETE, go to Setup/Bios or F12 for the Boot Menu

When you perform a restore, you may need to reinstall the network drivers, etc..

As you can not access the internet on the recovery computer, use the computer that you are on to get here to do this.

Go to the website to make your computer > Driver and Software Support Section > find your computer model number > then your operating system > locate drivers Windows 7 > download and install the desktop > copy to flash drive > transfer onto the repaired computer.

  • something was wrong all by restoring my computer to factory settings

I apologize in advance if my formatting is screwed since

I'm typing this from my phone.
I tried to restore my computer settings by using recovery cd I created when I bought the computer. There are a total of 3 discs. It was fine up to two drive. While he was using the two disc, I had to go out for a while. When I came back, it was done with two disc but the screen went dark. I thought that maybe the computer went to sleep. I inserted the third disc and close the cd are derived. I waited for a while but nothing happened. I moved the mouse and you press the space bar but nothing.
Thinking that by restarting the computer could start the recovery process, I shut down the computer using the power button while the 3 restore cd was still in the drive. When I turned it back there was a message that was missing Bootmgr and press CTRL ALT DELETE to restart the computer. Well I took cd 3, put the cd 1 back in and restarted the computer.
He took me to the Recovery Manager and I tried to restore back to factory settings. However, the screen went black after 4 percent growth. Since then I've tried several times but the screen will Dim each time. Sometimes this happens even before entering the recovrry Manager, but other times I got to the Recovery Manager, but it darkens while I'm selecting the options. Sometimes he also streaks of color (as seen on a cable channel that you have not subscribed to) on the screen before it darkens. The screen also keeps going from a darker shade of black to a lighter while the cd is in the slot.
What can I do to get out of this quagmire. I would appreciate your help.

    Hi MartyFenwick,

I imagine the inconvenience that you are experiencing. I will certainly help the question of fixing.

To help you suggest several steps to solve the problem, I would appreciate if you could answer the following questions:

    1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

    2. What is the brand and model of the mouse and keyboard?

    6. what happens when you try to play music CDs?

    7. what program you use to play the CD?

Please follow the methods and mark the question below:

Before you install SP1, follow the method 1 and 2.

    Method 1:

You need to perform a clean boot to prevent any third party conflicting application from interfering with your computer.

    Hello

    1. except if you have deleted the recovery partition on your machine, your machine must have a recovery partition. Make sure all your backup files before you restore the PC/laptop to the factory settings.

To set your PC/laptop to the factory settings, restart the PC/laptop. At HP Home screen has reached repeatly F11 (or ESC) key to start the recovery process. Follow the instructions on the screen.

2 my suggestion: keep Windows 7, you will not be disappointed with Windows 8. But if you want, Microsoft has a tool that resembles the Advisor Windows 7 to Windows 8 called Windows 8 Upgrade Wizard. Please download the wizard and run it on your computer:

You must purchase the upgrade to Windows 8 Microsoft (download) or many computer stores (DVD).
