Error recovery on Satellite A100
Hello people!
Well, I've had my Toshiba Satellite A100 for almost 1 year, and I have these non-removable spyware and ad-aware. But besides that, I want to reformat my pc but I can't. When I choose for the boot device cd-rom drive, loading RAMDisk image, it comes up with an instant message and then he disappears, but I noted to see F6 and so I rebooted the DVD again and I spammed F6. And this is what happens:
"Setup could not determine the type of computer you have, or you have chosen to manually specify the type of computer.
Select the type from the following list, or select "other" If you have a device support disk provided by the manufacturer of your computer.
ACPI Multiprocessor PC
ACPI Uniprocessor PC
Advanced Configuration and power interface (ACPI) PC
NPS Uniprocessor PC
NPS Multiprocessor PC
Standard PC
Others. "
I thought, if I use the mechanical system or something else, can I just reformat with that entirely and then I use the toshiba recovery cd and I think I have the windows xp cd. Can I install windows xp from there and then go down all of the toshiba utilities download site and install them? Or does install the drivers to display with the recovery cd or I see nothing and I will stuff my pc up to? Lol usually whenever I have try sumfin to help my pc I usually have the wreck it. So I've always guaranteed, so I might even go back to there. But I would appreciate if you guys can help.
Thank you
Adam
Hello Adam
Honestly, your ad is so complicated and confusing for me I will just try to explain how you can install OS on your Satellite A100.
If you want to install the operating system, you can do on two tracks:
-Sent using recovery DVD set in ODD and turn off. Turn it back on and immediately press the C button. keep it down for a short period and the ODD is obliged first to start device. When the facility starts just follow the on-screen menu.
-You can use the Microsoft facilities (full version) CD. Install the OS and after that you need to install all the drivers, tools and utilities manually. All the stuff you can find on the download page of Toshiba under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com support & downloads
Before you format drive HARD trying to create own Tools & Utilities CD. This option you will find Toshiba Assist Protect & Fix tab.
All that s! If I misunderstood something please post again.

Dear Toshiba support,
I use a laptop Satellite A100-036 of Satellite, when I start my laptop it shows the following error
Not found
c:\programFiles\TOSHIBA\ConfigFree\MUI\ENG\NDSNLS. INI
Please help me to solve this error. I tried to download freeconfig tool site, but it doesn't help me solve the problem, please sat down me for this problemThanks and greetings

[email protected]Hello
It seems the OS attempts to load the file Config-free, which does not exist or the path to this file is wrong.
Both are possible! How have you tried to reinstall the ConfigFree! In my opinion you should first try to remove the old Configfree system, then after new reboot, you should try to reinstall the downloaded new utility.
Good luck
By the way; Do not forget that you have downloaded the Configfree for the right laptop series

Re: How to create a partition for instant recovery on Satellite A100 PSAA9E
.. .This can be a difficult issue but I wil give it a shot...
I have a Toshiba Satellite A100 PSAA9E and a defined recovery disk.
In the recovery for the operating system (win xp MCE) disk there are two iso: PEbase.iso and the HDbase.iso.
After some snooping in the Northeast, I discovered what an enivorment of preinstallation and installation (sysprep) prepared. Now I wonder if it can be so simple place the image .tpa from the recovery disk in partition and install it whit a pe that works directly from this partition.
The only real obstacle is that there is some .inf and .sif PES statically to the installation partition, which can be useful to know what has changed from the original version of xp MCE.
I know that the question is not easy but I hope that in the expertise of the admins
Hello
> Now I m wondering if it can be so simple place the image .tpa of recovery in a disk partition and install it whit a pe that works directly from this partition.
I doubt that it will work to be honest, I've never tested so I can't say exactly if it will work or not but in my opinion it is not possible
New laptop model are equipped in HARD drive recovery option, but this recovery works completely different. There is an additional menu that allows to start the HDD recovery procedure.
Your laptop supports the recovery disk and that disk must be used to retrieve the laptop.
By the way; I have a Norton Ghost utility. I create my own image using this tool and placed it on the second partition. If something goes wrong with my OS I can restore the entire system using the shadow and the filename of the image to the other partition.
Good bye

NTLDR is missing after using the recovery disc - Satellite A100-493
Hello
I come from Germany and I have a Toshiba Satellite Notebook, which I bought new in 2006.
After nearly three years, he started showing problems and slow, so I backed up my files and inserted the "Product recovery" CD that came with the laptop. I followed the Instructions and it began to unwind. After that about 1%, it displays a short Error Message, which I was not able to write down again and stops.
When I restart the computer says ist «NTLDR is missing, press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to restart» When I do that it shows me the same "NTLDR is missing" Message, no matter how many times I reboot the thing.
I tried to redo the whole fotmatting, but it always comes out the same way. What di - I do?
G Demolidor
It's very strange. If the recovery disk is not damaged the only reason for interruption of the installation may be faulty HARD drive or some problem there.
If possible, try to get Microsoft WXP CD facilities and try to install Windows XP Home edition. Please let us know if the installation completes without any problems.

Blue screen error on the Satellite A100 - 920 (PSAA9)
Hello
I got a blue screen error during use normal and after reboot, Windows suggested updated the BIOS, so I've updated with the latest version (5.10). The next day, I got another blue screen and reboot, Windows has suggested that I update my display drivers, I did (to Ver. 8.241)... I have an ATI Radeon X 1400 GPUS. After that, the computer crashed every time that it loaded windows, with a popup on services.exe telling me the computer shuts off in 60 seconds.
I assumed that this was linked to the display driver, so I replaced the drivers with a version earlier than day (8.241 - 034065C). Once I did, it seemed to work and I could use the computer very well for a bit, even play games like GTA, but I'm starting to take again the blue screens, usually just at the opening of the files, etc. and not when you run graphical applications with a lot. The problem disappeared when I turn off my display drivers, but which is not really a solution.
I disabled the reboot on the parameter of the error and it is information of the blue screen of death:
STOP: 0X0000008E (0XC0000005, 0XEE6DF5E9, 0XBAD2F99C, 0X00000000)
System32:huy32.sys - address EE6DF5E9 base at EE6DD000, Datestamp 45abe717Anyone have an idea how I can solve this problem, it makes me crazy!
I downloaded the map Omega drivers, but am slow to install that I heard that they can cause overheating and I think ATI/Toshiba should be able to provide me with a solution without having to use third-party drivers myself.Hello
One question: do you use Antivirus applications and you did update the Windows operating system?
You said something about services.exe you indicating the computer turns off in 60 seconds. For me, this looks like a virus! I also google for system32:huy32.sys some people said it s a malware!
I m not 100% sure, but maybe you have some virus you OS!Now to the question of pilot you: Yes, Toshiba recommend that you use a clean graphics drivers on the Toshiba site. The use of original graphics drivers on the Web site of graphics card manufacturer is not recommended.
But I read a lot of thread on the omega drivers and many users using the drivers and they have no problems. -

WARNING
0251: System CMOS checksum bad - default configuration usedHi Bruno.
The error message indicates there is a problem with the BIOS of your laptop, maybe because the CMOS battery running or failed. Thus the system startup by using a default configuration.
I suggest that you try to update your BIOS to the latest available in the download section of Toshiba and allow also your laptop to resist a few hours connected to AC power (but not under tension) in order to allow the battery CMOS fully recharge.
If you still get the same problem after that, then it is likely that the CMOS battery should be replaced by your nearest ASP.
Kind regards

Satellite A100 - recovery will not be finished and stop error message occurs
Satellite A100-S2211TD, OS is Windows XP Home Edition of recovery disk,
I have updated the BIOS to 2.20 and laptop was working fine. The old installation of Windows factory has worked well.
After a few weeks, I tried to use the recovery disk to remove the noise from the HARD drive.
The recovery of disk task completed and the computer restarted.
I got the stop error message
STOP: 0x0000007B (0xFA335528, 0xC0000034, 0x00000000, 0x00000000)
I removed the memory that I have entered over the past two years and return the PC in the factory scene.
However, recovery will not be finished (he worked to restore).I am able to boot in dos with a separate boot disk (Dr. back, windows does not start, not even in the safe control mode) and I did chdsk of the disc and disc is fine.
I've never used before recovery disc, the only thing different is BIOS 2.20 instead of 1.50.
WEB of TOSHIBA said that if you upgrade the BIOS most 2.00 you can not return to 1. XXThank you
gHello
The A100-S2211TD doesn t support the Intel Chipset!
This laptop was equipped with the ATI graphics card and the graphics driver on the Toshiba page contains us the graphics driver and chipset driver!Have you received 100% good recovery CD?
In your case I would try to install Win XP from the Microsoft CD to check if the same error would appear if no drivers are included in the CD of the OS.
Check it out

Satellite A100 Recovery CD Wizard Error Code: F3-FFFF-0008
I just bring a Satellite A100 and a problem by performing a full restore using the two supplied with my laptop recovery disks.
The problem came after I deleted all partitions on the hard drive and then reformatted the entire hard drive.
I get on the above error code, stated in the following format:
ERROR: F3-FFFF-0008
An error has occurred
Please press [OK] to turn on the power the computer off. When I try to use the Recovery Wizard.
I will be grateful if someone can help me on this one.
I agree with the previous user. I think it's a matter of formatting of s.
Try to boot from the original Windows XP CD. This would format the HARD drive again.
Then use the Toshiba Recovery CD again!I noticed these problems installing several times and bad HARD drive format has been mostly a reason for similar problems

Satellite A100 - loop recovery disk
I have a laptop 19Y03Q Satellite A100 PSAA8A that I bought in Australia and I brought vack to Singapore.
Currently I'm trying to restore my computer laptop back to factory default, but the recovery disk displays a black screen and a cursor before restarting whenever I tried to recover. My hard drive disk and restore works very well. And I have the original drive hard toshiba came with the computer. (I had cloned the original on a larger hard drive)
My drive was working 2 days ago and used it to wipe my laptop of unwanted files. But for some reason I had to restore again.
The recovery disk would not go to the screen to select the method of recovery and keep restarting. I tried reformatting and the old hard drive cloning today, but the disc does not always (even if the clone was able to boot and run as I had left it your old hard drive). I checked the hard drive for errors found nothing and also led an installation of windows 7, which has been a success.
I would not lose money by going to buy a new recovery disk and hard drive because both work well. I also do not alter the drive within two days.Thks in advance and I would appreciate a response.
FOR INFO. I'm running the cloned from your old hard drive image
Hey,.
> My hard drive disk and recovery works very well
How can you be sure that the recovery disk works well?To be honest, the story is a bit confusing, but I think that it s a problem with recovery disk if you have checked the HARD drive for errors and Windows 7 installation succeeded.
You should ask a certified maintainer for help, maybe they can swap the disk recovery but an alternative, you can use a Windows disc. All the drivers and tools that you can find on the page of Toshiba.

FabioHi flottero,
It of always a little difficult to discuss these blue screens because many things could be the reason, but in most cases it s a hardware or driver problem.
If system restore doesn't work, can you try to restore Windows recovery disk settings, please? After that, you get back factory settings and so you can identify a hardware problem or software.
Check this box!

Satellite A100: Recovery DVD does not work
I want to restore my Toshiba Satellite A100 laptop to its original factory condition, but the DVD that comes with the package of recovery does not work...
I have load to start computer press F12, and it starts on the DVD. It says "Loading RAMDISK Image", after which I am told by Toshiba customer service there should be options to clean up the hard drive or restore Windows XP.
However, after VIRTUAL disk, I see a cursor on a black screen, and then the laptop off and restarts. After the connection, NO CHANGES made...
What is the problem with that? How can I really use this recovery DVD?
Someone help me please.Thank you.
Hello
The recovery procedure is not difficult.
Just try to boot from the recovery CD or DVD and follow the Guide on the screen line.Your problem is very strange. You have created all the partitions on the HARD drive?
I put really t know why your recovery CD doesn't work properly, but I think you should try to completely format the disk (also partitions), then try to boot from the recovery CD.Don't forget that the laptop is in the boot mode. (don t mix the standby or hibernation mode)
