• My pinned tabs "app" disappear when I close firefox, I started syncing with another computer. Windows 7 and Windows 8.

  Got a new tablet of Windows 8 non - RT. Put regular firefox desktop. No subway. It synced with my portable firefox, which runs windows 7. Since that time my pinned tabs app do not remain once I close firefox and restart.

  In case you use "clear history of Firefox closing:

  • do not erase browsing history
  • Tools > Options > privacy > Firefox will be: "Use the custom settings for history": [X] 'Clear history of Firefox closing' > settings

  Note that compensation "Preferences of Site" clears all exceptions for cookies, images, windows pop up, installation of software and passwords.

  I have a yahoo search bar, which was installed during a download and the installation of a http://gtopala.com/of SIW.exe system information application. This is the freeware version which is add-based software. However I wasn't expecting that the search function would be such a nusance and interfere with the functions of Firefox.
  The search bar behaves as a tab App that I cannot move or get rid of. There no option to pin the object when I right click on the bar or to modify it in any way using the function 'group your tab' to the right of the tab toolbar.

  Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > appearance/themes).

  In order to add a tab app, the news site said right click/Control-click on the tab, which opens a menu, from which you can designate it as a tab app. However, on my Mac, there is no control-click/right click I can find - so I can't do the app tabs.   My app tabs disappear each time I have to restart or shut down my computer in Mac OS X. I don't have this problem in windows. I looked through the support of countless times, and no, my problem isn't that I "clear history" checked in my preferences.

  Just a side note, I was really excited for Firefox 4. Seemed really cool and was very fast. This tab app was my favorite new feature, and I am very disappointed that it does not work as it should. And until this problem is fixed in Mozilla, I'm going back to Google Chrome.

  App tabs and groups of tabs (Panorama) are stored in session data in the sessionstore.js file in the Firefox profile folder

  There may be a problem with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the profile folder

  Delete sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak in the profile folder

  If you see files sessionstore-# .js with a number in the left part of the name as sessionstore - 1.js then delete those as well.

  You will have to redo the App Tabs and tab groups after delete sessionstore.js.

  before you ask, I have checked the log files, but the only action proposed would be to rename a file. It was not clear that one.

  After re-downloaded several times the issue seems to have resolved itself.

  Seems like user of the application you want to start to do not has permission on above dir... It should start with the user of the application used when installing... If you use only and then also get the error even then for trial give 777 privs on all the dir apps and see if you are able to move forward.

  The error of the Adobe Application Manager indicates it is already running.
