  • EAS does not connect via wifi company post - 1.3.5

This seems to be a somewhat different issue of EE that some know, so it was recommended that I start a new thread. My question: I can access is no longer to EAS via the wifi of my company. It worked before 1.3.5. If I turn the wifi off, I can then connect EE without problem. I get no error when connected via wifi, rather e-mail and calendar just don't update.

It turns out that our firewall is configured to disallow connections since our internal wireless to internal resources through external access (that is, accessible through the Internet). This explains why it is not working currently - other devices exhibit the same behavior, including iPhones and laptops.

The question then becomes: why it worked before? I can check before 1.3.5 I can be connected via wifi to my company and still connect to the Regional service. So the previous version tried to connect via wifi, then when he could not, did he switch to EVDO to connect?

If this is the case, then it is a very nice feature and it would be great if it was turned off. If it is not the case, then I have no idea why it worked prior to 1.3.5.

  • MacBook freezes when connected to WiFi

A MacBook Pro bought at the end of 2013 which, until the beginning of the week, a little while after the upgrade to 10.11.3 (no idea if that is related or not), my laptop has started to stop randomly, or so I thought.  Then the weirdness happened when I went to work to try to get fully backed up with my drive Time Machine here, and it does not crash, all day.  But when I get home?  Crash in a minute or two out of my bag.  Work the next day, once perfect yet.

I finally sharpened in what the problem has been connected to a wireless network, either at work or at home.  If I am connected via ethernet, there is no problem at all with the thing (as was the case since I have the laptop), but if I connect to WiFi?  Laptop stops, screen off first, apparently very high treatment and then powers down.  If I turn it back on and let the computer laptop, same again.  If I turn on, quickly turn off the WiFi, I can then go about as usual.

    ·         You receive an error message/code?

    ·         Have you made changes on the computer before this problem?

    ·         What version of the operating system is installed on the computer?

    Follow these methods.

Method 1: Run the network troubleshooter utility.

  • DeskJet 3054 ceased to connect to WiFi

DeskJet 3054 error 'not connected' comes after selecting the WPS option.  System used to work with WiFi under Maverick, but stopped with two changes: Comcast upgraded the router and update OSX.  HP support says that they do not have driver for OS x - 10.10 Yosemite... So what can I do to connect to the new WiFi network?

    Hey @dndutter,

Welcome to the Forums of HP Support!

I would like to help you today with the resolution of the networking problem you are having with your all-in-one printer HP Deskjet 3054. Given that you have received a new Comcast router the wireless should be implemented new on your Deskjet to work with the new router. Because you get the message 'not connected' when you try the WPS option, it would seem that your new router does not support this configuration. After selecting the WPS button on the printer, the printer starts a timer that allows two minutes press the WPS button on your wireless router. If you do not have a WPS button on your router that unfortunately Comcast failed to provide you with a WPS capable router and you will need to connect wirelessly via a USB cable. This can also be problematic on your Mac OS X 10.10 operating system that you don't have the full feature software and drivers. The last Mac OS offered the full feature software and drivers for your product was Mac OS X 10.8.  Therefore, you will use the generic Apple update driver.

If you have a Windows PC or a Mac running 10.8 and underneath, you can run the Installation to feature full on this computer in order to put the printer in wireless via the USB connection. Once the printer is set up for wireless that simply add it to your operating system from Mac OS X 10.10 and you should have all the features. It should not be an option that you will need to do a wireless Ad-Hoc configuration.

How to install correctly on Mac OS X 10.10:

Note: Will need you a USB cable temporarily for this configuration.

    Step 1: Uninstall the drivers:

Just open printing & scanning under system preferences and make sure that your Deskjet does not appear in the print & Scan window. If this is the case, select the printer and (-) less out to remove it.

Step 2: Check and repair your Mac disk permissions:

    1. Open Macintosh HD and go to Applications
    2. Go to the Utilities folder
    3. Open disk utility
    4. Select the hard disk volume, you use (usually on the left)
    5. Select verify disk permissions
    6. Once this process is complete, select Repair disk permissions

Step 3: Check the Apple updates:

Plug your USB cable from your Deskjet to your Mac.

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select software update
    4. Click Update now
    5. Install your available updates
    6. Restart your computer

    Step 4: Add the printer:

    1. Go to the Apple
    2. Select System Preferences
    3. Select Print & Scan - if your USB printer is not displayed as added in already click on the (+) plus sign to add the correct in driver.
    4. Now that the correct driver is added into your printer, you can connect wireless.

Unplug your USB cable again please

How Set up Ad Hoc Wireless:

    1. Select the button on the front panel of your printer wireless

    2. under the wireless menu, select settings

    3. under settings, select Enable Wireless

    4. once the wireless is enabled on your printer should be flashing the blue light

    5. Once your Mac choose your wireless icon. Under the list of available networks, you should see one similar to the one like the HP Photosmart which is circled in the image below. However, instead of Photosmart it will say HP Deskjet 3054.

    6. connect to the network that appears with your HP Deskjet 3054 inside.

    7. on your printer wireless light should go solid after a few minutes. At this point, you want to print a new Network Configuration report.

    1. On the control panel of the HP product, press the wireless button (). Wireless menu.
