Error with Windows Mobile Device Center: there is no email...

Hello

I have been searching on the internet and do not yet have a solution to my problem. I have a handheld device that I need to use Windows Mobile Device Center to synchronize a program for my work. I get the following error, that I have to then click ok, just so that I can connect and then synchronize my handheld computer to work. The error is:

There is no associated messaging program to perform the requested action. Install an e-mail program or, if such is already installed, create an association in the default programs control panel.

I have Windows 7 64 bit and I have Thunderbird and Windows Live Mail (that I tried as default, nothing is done). I don't have Outlook and will not buy it just for this error. Help please!

Thank you!

  • Problem connecting Bluetooth with Windows Mobile Device Center

    Hello

I have and HTC Snap with WM 6.1 I want to connect to my Satellite P500 running Windows 7 to be able to move the files by using Windows Mobile Device Center.

I know that this device can talk to this laptop via bluetooth, because there are some utilities bluetooth Toshiba that I can use to get a connection.

However, even if the Toshiba utility recognizes my bluetooth device, but WMDC is not. WMDC recognises my device when it is connected with a USB cable.

I don't know about the drvupdate-amd64 download which I think is necessary with WMDC but when I run what it looks like all it does is try to install a device driver for a device that is 'unknown '. I get a message at the end that driver could not be installed.

I have run out of ideas on how to get these things to work. Someone at - it a similar experience?

Could this be a problem of COM port? My Bluetooth device to 40 com affected Toshiba stack I don't see a COM 40 in the WMDC, just a port identified as "Bluetooth" settings

  • Windows Mobile Device Center crashes because of the police

Windows Mobile Device Center on one of the computers of the user randomly started crashing any time that it is opened from the control panel. I enabled logging according to this site (http://www.pocketpcfaq.com/faqs/wmdc/debug/index.htm) and found the trace of the following error in the log file. It seems to be the accident as he tried to use a TrueType font, no. Display the user policies are all resolved by default Segoe UI 9pt. I also tried on another account on the computer with the same result. Which fonts would be Windows Mobile Device Center trying to load that causes this crash? There are a few 3rd party barcode fonts installed but they are TrueType, and I guess that Device Center would not try to load those.

It seems as if the Cache of police of GDI + has become corrupted somehow. Removal of the GDIPFONTCACHEV1.dat\AppData\Local C:\Users\ and C:\Windows\System32 corrected the problem and enabled Windows Mobile Device Center launch.

I looked on another machine and GDIPFONTCACHEV1.dat was not in the folder System32, but was in the AppData folder. I'm not sure how it got there on the machine of the problems.
  • I can't install Windows Mobile Device Center

I had a lot of trouble with my Sprint HTC Mogul synchronization with my computer which is Vista (32).  Windows Mobile Device Center has been not to recognize my phone when I plugged it up (USB work).  He used to work in the past, so I uninstalled WMDC and tried to reinstall it and now I have nothing.  Now, I'm learning (always after I make a mistake) that WMDC is an integral part of Vista.  How can I reinstall vista components?  A secondary issue, I tried to install WMDC directly from the CD that came with my phone and it says I need Adobe Flash 8.0 or higher.  I have Adobe Flash Player 10 Active X(which I have uninstalled and reinstalled several times).  Whenever I connect my phone to the computer what he claims to have correctly installed the driver software, but when I look in programs of this isn't there!

I need to back WMDC on my computer until I can solve the problem of synchronization.  Help!

YOU MUST of FIRST GET YOUR PROVIDER FOR THIS DOWNLOAD ON YOUR PHONE, MY PROVIDER has ROGERS so IT WAS RELATIVELY EASY AND maybe ROGERS IS who I TALKED WITH AND DOWNLOADED BUT YOU FIRST to GET YOUR PROVIDER to DOWNLOAD ALL of THE PLACES that they have DOWNLOAD to YOU AND THEN SOUND JUST INSTALL in SEQUENCE. Good luck!!

    Dushyant salvation,

    • You have security software installed on the computer?
    • Since when are you facing this problem?
    • You did changes to the computer before this problem started?

Before solving the problem, I suggest to create a system manually, Restore Point so that in this case, a problem occurs when performing these steps, you can always perform a system restore.

    Step 1

Uninstall Windows Mobile device under Windows Vista programs and features. Access the link below and follow the steps in the article to uninstall the program.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/uninstall-or-change-a-program

    Step 2

Follow the steps below only once you have backed up the registry.

    a. Click Start, in the search box of start, type regedit and press ENTER.

    b. If you are prompted for an administrator password or a confirmation, type the password, or click on allow.

    c. in the navigation pane, locate the following registry subkey:

    d. in the registry editor, navigate to the following location: HKEYCURRENTUSER > SOFTWARE > MICROSOFT > WINDOWS CE SERVICES > PARTNERS

    e. check the keys referencing your mobile device and right-click on it and remove the keys.

Note: The problem may occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs.

For more information about how to back up and restore the registry, follow the steps in the link below:

    http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/322756

    Step 3

Restart the computer and download the Windows Mobile device Center on your computer the link below and install it and check if it works fine without any errors.

    http://www.Microsoft.com/windowsmobile/en-us/downloads/Microsoft/Device-Center-download.mspx

You can also uninstall and reinstallDynDNS Updator 4.1.6 program and check if it works very well.

I hope this helps. Let us know the results.

  • Installation of Windows Mobile Device Center in Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit

I had been Active Sync with my Palm Treo.  I bought a new computer with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit. So I downloaded and tried to install drvupdate - amd64.exe, the 64-bit version of Windows Mobile Device Center for my AMD Athlon II X 2 2.7 GHz e-machine.  By running the installation program, it seems to make progress and then in the Middle, it seems reverse-the remaining time runs backward, and the installation Bar starts going right to left rather then from left to right.  I get no explanation, no code error and no results.  Windows Mobile Device Center is not in my list of installed programs.  I don't think to close my anti-virus programs.  How can I install Windows Mobile Device Center 64?

Thank you.  Before I had this message, I got the WMDC installed by stopping antivirus, Carbonite and uninsralling law service programs!  I am not sure that I had to do the latter, but I thought that the law! Outlook may have hurt service.  However, I will use the set of instructions that you gave me for a problem with separate installation that I am now known (Office 2003 SP3).
