ERRORS, Office 2007 updates fail, won't uninstall programs
OK, here's the deal. About 5 days ago I installed, beta Office 2010 on my PC, around the same time I down loaded a trial version of Hoyle Casino Empire. When I tried to remove it, I received a message - the component that you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable, the installation source for this product is not available. Check the source exists and that you can access, , I tried to print something and it has printed in gray and mirror image, took 1 min. instead of 2 seconds, I contacted MS and they sent me a link to FIX IT, when I when I tried to down load I got an error, there is a problem with this windows package install. A script required for this install to complete could not be run. Contact your provider staff or the support package'. So I used their 7 pages manual removal instructions. I r emoved the game to the trial, office 2007, office 2010 beta & my printer., I was able to reinstall the printer and two programs of the office, programs and the printer work fine,"I can't always remove with remove programs get the same error - the component you are trying to use is on a network resource that is unavailable. the installation source for this product is not available. Verify that the source exists and that you can access" ,
My update to the bottom of charges for Word, Excel, PowerPoint2007 and office 2010 Validation file all fail. I'm sure that something is corupt or missing I ran scan & repair programs and have Norton Int.Sec.2010
I was on the phone with MS for 1 hours and 47 minutes and all we did was uninstall and reinstall office 2007 twice, with the same problem, but now I 7 updates which not settled instead of 4 now waiting for a callback.
My PC is HP m7277c and running Windows XP Media Edition. Can anyone help difficulty the mess I made?
Just to update you, Alex called MS support today and after several attempts of different things, it turns out be something simple. Windows ran Installer update 3.0, updated ver.4.5 and installed updates. I don't know why my PC was running plu ver 3.0 or why place MS Update Center does not detect the old version and update. The problem is solved, and that's what counts.

New Microsoft Office 2007 update FAILS
Try to reload the new Office 2007 SP2 update. FAILS every time new codes of Defender loads, but no new SP2. I see 2 file sizes. one of 247 MB and the other 290 MB. All other updates work fine.
I'm running Vista 64 Ultimate. Tried all the things I saw on the other 5 forums.
Seems that MS needs to write a new installer for us. It is all over Google.
Whats up guys.
Hello Mrbill66,
Thank you for using Microsoft Vista answers Forum!
Update installation failure can lead to many problems. Frequently, the computer is not in a State that the update would expect to find in. This occurs when the installation is corrupted or the files are accidentally deleted. Any other failure could result from the loss of Internet connectivity when you try to install an update from the Internet. Some failures can cause do not have enough disk space to successfully install the update, or on the occasion of a problem with the update itself.
All you case maybe, here a link to an article that could help solve this problem.

Hi all...
Try to Thinapping MS Office 2007, but failed when an error «could not copy ##attributes...» "is thrown. I'm trying to save the project to a folder under vista (called "shared folder") to a virtual machine by using windows XP SP2. I made a mistake? Your help is really appreciated for the entire community, thank you.
Hi MrBean344,
If I was wrong, you will get the error for GetAttributes... while building the project. Am I wrong?
If so, then I think it was due to the long way to have more than 256 characters. Can you please try to save your project in the short path such as C:\ and rebuild the package?
I think that after doing this, error is not displayed and application is virtualized.
Thank you best regards &,.

Offered a LOT of Office 2007 updates... but I have Office 2010
I have a new laptop with Windows 7. It came preloaded with (among a lot of other things, Boulard for Toshiba bloatware) a trial version of Office Home & Student 2007. I never activated it. I bought a card of product key for Office home and student 2010 and got that downloaded and installed.
Now, in the list of updates of Windows being offered to me, there are a whole bunch of stuff for Office 2007. I uninstalled this trial version. I don't think that I need these updates. I want that they go away. How to make that happen? I don't want to download and install more than 300 MB of stuff I don't need, just to make my tidy list updated. Thanks for the suggestions.
You have Microsoft Office Compatibility Pack Service Pack, the Web, viewers etc. installed components?
Let the update install - it downloads only what suits him and then you'll get rid of it. However, you can hide it if you really want to.
You might just have something installed requiring a small part of this massive download that is why it will not download the entire file if Office 2007 is not installed.
