Estation c510 printer stopped working

My HP Photosmart eStation c510 stopped working 2 days ago.  I have Windows 7 ultimate 64 - bit operating sys.  I did everything I could to isolate the problem, but no solution has fixed the problem.  My computer sends the print job to the printer, but I get the error message: printer has failed and alignment failed.  I rebooted the printer set to nothing or bells, I tried to copy null, scan-nothing and all the software is up-to-date.  I printed a few color photos and black and white, the other day with all the problems.  I hope a solution, it's out there, I like the printer and features, but...

Thanks for any help!  Scrapman

Sorry you had a problem with the printer does not print.

If you encounter a failure "alignment", then it is a hardware problem with the printer itself.

Try out the printhead and manually clean the bottom water and lint. Lift the latch to the right of the cartridges in and out of the area of the basket. This is the print head.

You can also clean the cartridges or replace. It is a problem of ink system. Try the link below and see if that will help.

http://support.HP.com/us-en/document/c03081973

After completing these steps and see if you can perform an automatic test or report to printer from the printer itself.

  • My Lexmark printer stopped working and the error message says "printer cannot communicate with the computer" (from "twisted into the USB pins?).

When my printer stopped working because of error messages about "printer cannot communicate with the computer" (from "twisted into the USB pins?), I tried to change to 2nd USB port without success. I tried a new cable; that did not help.

Then I uninstalled and reinstalled my Lexmark printer and changed the error message. Now, the printer does not work because "the USB device is not recognized."

I tried to update the chips; Use 1 USB port; and using the old cable, all this without success. I checked the connections of the cable to the printer and the PC and turn on the printer and goes off; I'm out of ideas. Any other suggestions?

  • Printer stopped working after I removed a paper jam - Deskjet 6988

I removed a paper jam today, according to the instructions. But since I did it, it will not be printed. The power light is, as if it's OK, but he absolutely refuses to print.

My printer is a HP Deskjet 6988 and I am on Windows 7, 64 bit.

Whenever I try to print, the print queue displays the print job for about a second, then he faints. I try to print again, it disappears. Then, if I do it a third time, it appears in the list and stays there, but the printer does nothing.

After two minutes the queue no longer mentions it as the "impression". Instead, it says, "error printing". I try to delete the print job, but it just sits there, saying "error printing". It will not erase. The only way to remove it is by the printer stop or restart the computer.

If I try to print after that stuff all over again.

I tried closing the printer and reboot, restart the computer, power cycling (stopping the printer, unplug the cables, waiting..., plug again and restart).  I ran the Diagnostic Utility and it tells me that it works very well - well, very good for a very large paperweight.  I used troubleshooting via the Control Panel, and he said: "a print job in the print queue prevents other printing of print." But as I have already said, delete the print job does not solve the problem.  I am stuck in a loop of the removal of print jobs and nothing works.

    Help, please!

    Hey Tigger,

It may have been stuck in the diagnostic mode - not able to move forward or backward for a time very long.

Next time, if this never happens again, you can try a Reset of the printer:

Here are two types of reset the base printer:

    (1) if there is a keyboard, turn it off, then on and press on # and 6 (press and hold while turning on the printer).

    (2) without a keyboard?  So unplug that LEAVE unplugged for 30 seconds to a minute.  Reconnect it.  (Be careful with this one - will not shock).

It can become a little more complicated than that, but a basic reset sometimes "will have the printer attention" if it's just "spinning" and nothing else will not physically.

    I'm glad it works again.

Maybe printers receive loners.   The smile.

  • Assistant printer stop working for my HP 5510 all-in-one, B111a, Windows 7, IE 11

HP printer Assistant for the range of printers all-in-one HP 5510-B111a stopped working about 3 weeks ago. I have a Dell desktop computer, I installed Oct-2013, which are running Windows 7 and IE 11 (was perhaps?). Shortcuts to the Assistant printer is still there, but when I click it, nothing happens. I reinstalled the software, both from the original CD, download HP online, tried about 6 different advice from people online and even restore my computer to 25/03/14 and it still doesn't work. He perhaps could have a day or two before when it stop working and I'm not sure of the date, I've upgraded to IE 11. I googled and found that there are of course many others out there with this same problem. I have the scan icon and can perform these functions, but the Printer Wizard I would check the ink levels, troubleshoot, clean the print heads, print diagnostic reports, that everything I used, so, basically, I lost this feature.

    Hi there baylor1,

I managed to find a solution that is good enough to make me happy!  I posted the details in the other thread, and I hope that it might work for you too.  There are a couple of minor NAGs with the solution and I still think that HP have work to do to find out what causes this problem for people, but I think you will find that it is much easier to reinstall windows!

    I hope this helps.

    6. you will remember to make changes to the computer before this problem?

The printer works well until a few days ago, when I found it flashing works with the message "the printer has an error - stop and restart".  I could not turn off with either the switch or by removing the plug and have it turn on immediately with the same problem I am operating from a Dell with Windows 7 desktop.  I do not know the changes that were made between the time where he worked until now.  I think I had a power failure brief meanwhile.  I don't know where to go next.

    Welcome to the Silverrifle forums

I saw your post on how your printer Photosmart 7520 now shows a message indicating "the printer has an error - stop and restart". I have a few ideas in mind for you to try which can help!

Try to reset the printer and connect the printer directly to the wall jack (if not already), avoiding bars power and surge protectors. This ensures that the printer is full on and can help.

Reinstall the ink cartridges remove them and put them in the unit.

  • Printer stops working

    Original title: PRINTERS

My ALL-IN-ONE printer HP PSC1510 work stops, when powered by the light lights no noises the computer receives all messages from him, what is happening with this?

Have you read the solutions on the page I linked?  There are a lot of quite complex to follow, steps which none include the relocation of the printer.

Check paper and check cartridge lights

    Question
: the product has a stall of transport or jam.

Paper jams can be difficult to find, especially if you have torn a page detached from the printer.  If you can't make it work according to the instructions of HP self-help and the printer is under warranty ("this is not an old printer') you can take to be repaired... but I suspect that maintenance this question won't be free.
