eval (Javascript) function does not work on Firefox for Android plugin

I'm trying to migrate a desktop plugin in Firefox for Android plugin, and I need to use the function "eval". When I run the plugin on mobile, it blocks when eval(). That's what I do:

String adaptionFunction = getConcreteFunctionName();
eval (adaptionFunction);

The first line returns something like this: __Application__.newList)
I also tried, but did not work:

var tmpFunc = new Function ("adaptionFunction");
tmpFunc();

What can I do? This same code works fine on the desktop.
Thanks for your time,

Fam

There was a problem of logic, and eval works very well. I can't delete this post, so I answer here.

• My touchpad scroll function does not work in Firefox 4

4 years Dell Inspiron 1520 with a Synaptics touchpad, running XP. Just downloaded FF4 last night, now discovered that my scrolling on the touchpad function no longer works. It's very irritating. If no fix is available, how to go back to the previous version of FF?

Try running Firefox in questions to troubleshoot Firefox in Safe Mode. If it works properly in this configuration, then one of your modules is the culprit.

By the way, I recommend you visit the Plugins check page and update your plugins. You are potentially expose your system to attack with some versions you have installed at the moment. Their update can also solve the problem with your touchpad.

In case the previous steps do not resolve the problem for you, you can return to the previous version and secure that 3.6.16 as follows.

1. Go to Download Firefox v3.6.16 and download it to your desktop.
2. Then go to add/remove programs, scroll down to Mozilla Firefox and remove it, choosing to keep your bookmarks, etc., the customizations (don't tick the box).
3. Reboot and delete the folder called Mozilla Firefox at this location: C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox
4. Finally, run the downloaded installation file.
• JavaScript function does not work on the JSFF page load but runs on page refresh

A bit of background first:-I'm a front-end developer who use jDeveloper to build templates/pages. I also manage client scripting using af:clientListerner tags. But my knowledge on the related backend stuff (beans, triggers, actions) etc. is almost zero. So, I'll use technical very simple terms to describe my problem.

Scenario:

Let's say I have two pages JSFF, first.jsff , and second.jsff

In first.jsff, I have a command link that navigates to second.jsff. Inside of this page, I have a javascript function that I need to run when the user interface is rendered. But as soon as second.jsff load, my JS function never fires. Only when I refresh the page see running. This what second.jsff looks like:

<?xml version='1.0' encoding='UTF-8'?>
<jsp:root xmlns:jsp="http://java.sun.com/JSP/Page" version="2.1" xmlns:af="http://xmlns.oracle.com/adf/faces/rich" xmlns:f="http://java.sun.com/jsf/core">
<af:panelGroupLayout id="pgl17" styleClass="mainBox AFStretchWidth">
<af:resource type="javascript">
function runOnLoad(){
alert("Hello world");
}
runOnLoad();
</af:resource>
/* other ADF components go below this line
.
.
.
*/
</af:panelGroupLayout>
</jsp:root>

So I see the alert only when I refresh the page (i.e. after the redirection occurs, I have to refresh the page to make the JS run)

What I'm missing here?

jDeveloper version is 11.1.1.9.0

You will use this fragment of .jsff inside the .jspx page. In the .jspx inside the af: document add clientListener as:

.
.
.

Change the javascript method to be:

function runOnLoad(event)
{
alert("Hello world");
}

• The timeline of Google search function does not work in Firefox but not in IE

I use Google for searches. After receiving the search results there are additional options along the left sidebar. "Timeline" function takes the results of the search and sort them in chronological order and displays the results on a timeline. This feature is used to work well in Firefox. Now after receipt of search results when I press the option "Timeline" Google tells me that my search "did not match any documents."

I assumed the problem was with Google but when I finally tested in Internet Explorer, I discovered that the function of the chronology has worked well. The exact URL in Internet Explorer properly displays the results of the timeline sorted but when stuck in Firefox it produces no result.

Please explain what could be the cause or I might have to switch browsers that I wouldn't do. Thank you.

Here is year example of a Google Timeline search request that produces no. matching documents: "http://www.google.com/search?source=ig & hl = in & rlz = 1G1GGLQ_ENUS287 & = & q = mozilla + firefox + reviews & btnG = Google + Search & aq = f & oq = #q = mozilla + firefox + reviews & hl = in & tbo = 1 & rlz = 1G1GGLQ_ENUS287 & output = search & source = lnt & tbs = tl:1 & a = X & ei = W20_Tf_2OoragAeJ0LG8Aw & ved = 0CA8QpwUoBA & fp = d99ec83a3d63f24"

• My javascript does not work on Firefox

I wrote a very small javascript. It works perfectly on IE, but it does not work on Firefox. Each javascript, I am writing to you, face the same problem. JavaScript is not disabled in my firefox browser, and I use the latest version (3.6.9). It's one of my scripts.

< content meta = text/html"; charset = utf-8 "http-equiv ="Content-Type">"
< title > Untitled Document < /title >
< script language = "javascript" >

function namechecker()
{
var firstNameLength = txtFirstName.value.length;

even if (firstNameLength == 0)
{
firstNameLength = prompt ("enter your first name","" ");
txtFirstName.value = firstNameLength;
}
}

< /script >

Enter your first name:
< name of entry = "txtFirstName" type = "text" >

Enter your last name:
< input name = "txtlastName" onfocus = "namechecker ()" type = "text" > "

This problem persists for me after updating to 3.6.10. Many web sites, even Google, unusable due to JavaScript errors. The problem could be solved by disabling the cache. I also noticed that some images for some pages do not load until the cache has been cleared, so I suspect that this is not a JavaScript problem but a bug in the way Firefox handles caching. Unfortunately, I can't reproduce this problem systematically.

This problem occurs on 2 separate machines that are both running Windows 7 Pro 64 bit. Some installed extensions: Firebug (disabled), Xmarks.

A page that I am wrong with this time is http://cgsmd.isi.edu/dbsnpq. Errors are "$ is not defined", "jQuery is not defined" and some images do not appear, while some arise. When I go to about: cache? device = disk I can located at the URL of the JavaScript file. When I followed links to this cache entry, and I can see that the corresponding cache file does not exist. This is the file:

C:\Users\Scott\AppData\Local\Mozilla\Firefox\Profiles\jlz39414.default\Cache\83E84132d01

I did the same thing for some images. Some I can find in everything: put in cache and view them, other are listed, but the data is not - these are those who were not initially. In all: cache he requests these minutes just cached were there probably isn't another 'cleaning' software removes these files.

Conclusion: there are bugs in the system cache of Firefox that make many common web sites, such as Google, unusable.

• I want to record with < alt > < s > in the Exact program online. This function does not work. This is the first time I use this program with firefox.

Question
I want to record with < alt > < s > in the Exact program online. This function does not work. This is the first time I use this program with firefox.

edit, escaped mod < s > in order to avoid the line through question

A web page can be defined a "accesskey" for an item. Unlike IE/Chrome/Safari, who use the Alt key only, Firefox requires pressing Alt and Shift to activate the element. In other words, try

ALT + SHIFT + S

and see if it works.

I don't know of any way to change this so that the change is not necessary. There may be an add-on?

• Does not work in firefox and Chrome

Hello

It's works fine under IE but does not work in firefox and Chrome browsers

What's not in this code?

var pageURL:String      = ExternalInterface.call("window.location.href.toString");

if(pageURL == null)
{
pageMsg2.text = "Seems like javascript is disabled";
}
else
{
pageMsg2.text = "Enabled";
}

calling window.location.href.toString directly from js (i.e. no flash) in the work of chrome or firefox?

have you tried to create a wrapper function for window.location.href.toString ?

for example in js

Function myFunction()

{

Return window.location.href.toString;

}

Flash

var pageURL:String      = ExternalInterface.call("myFunction");

if(pageURL == null)
{
pageMsg2.text = "Seems like javascript is disabled";
}
else
{
pageMsg2.text = "Enabled";
}

• CSH - does not work in Firefox

When I click on the link help in one of our applications in Firefox, help does not. Passage of the mouse, the status bar displays "javascript:;" (due to our being in an include file header, so we ask help using onClick:displayHelp() and then, by running the CSH help call the string in a JavaScript function called displayHelp). When I click, I get a JavaScript error or whatever that it either--nothing happens at all.

The HCS launches perfectly in IE6 and 7, which is fine because we use internal IE, and that is where this system is used. However, we get aid started for another application under development, which will be used in various locations around the world. This system must use the same JavaScript methods as the first system, and even when it does not work in Firefox. We can have users using Firefox, and we do not want to tell them that Firefox does not support the aid system. I'm puzzled. No help for those in need...? According to the expert community in other positions, conflicts between CSH and Firefox are not common, or at least are not frequently reported.

Details: Out of FlashHelp, Firefox 1.5.0.9, JavaScript must be enabled, all the boxes ticked in JavaScript advanced options. Same behavior if the blocker is enabled or disabled. In a third app, FlashHelp starts fine in Firefox, but this system uses not CSH.

Thanks in advance!

Hi Cindy,.

I found a solution that works for me using the 'skin' webhelp, and according to me, should work with Flashhelp too: in the whtopic.js file, put in comment the last line:

document. Location.Reload ();
becomes:

document. Location.Reload ();

Tested in Firefox 2.0 and IE 7. Seems to work. More QA for me!

• 'Add to list' button to WoWHead (Javascript function) does not?

Hey guys, hope everyone is having a great Friday. I encounter a situation with the WoWHead website, which is a Blizzard-World of Warcraft fansite. They have a button called, add to the list, which allows the user to add a piece of equipment, weapons, etc to a custom list. What is happening is that an Exchange folder appears with some options.

I put in a thread on their forums, but I wanted to look if there is something subject to: Config or options that could make the button does not work in Firefox 32.0.3. I've tested this in Internet Explorer and everything works fine (photos displayed below). That said, just as the addons have been disabled, which would cause Javascript to stop working.

Firefox (Second test): http://i.imgur.com/K5tvcnb.png

Go to the web page. Once the page loads, mouse to the address bar
and left click the icon. A window to display information of site should
developed. Select more information. Look through all the menu items and
check all the parameters.

• Deduplicator bookmark does not work with Firefox 35. What should I do?

It worked before I installed the latest version of Firefox. Now whenever I press start remove duplicates, nothing happens. Please help me understand what to do. I use Mac 10.9.5. Thank you!

https://addons.Mozilla.org/en-us/Firefox/addon/bookmark-Deduplicator/

The last review of the user of this extension mentions that he does not work in Firefox 35. Other than to wait that the developer of this extension realizes its extension is broken and fix it on what you can do, is looking for a replacement / extension of replacement with this feature. Unfortunately, the developer did not provide a contact email link to encounters with bugs or comments and did not provide a "home page" with the details either.

• update 10.9.3 Mavericks and now scrolling does not work in Firefox.

I've updated yesterday, and now the wheel on my mouse (optical mouse Belkin) does not work in Firefox. It works everywhere else, but not in Firefox.

Can scroll you with the keyboard?

On Mac, scroll bars may be hidden and are showing them when you scroll down the page, so you can see the current scroll position.
The idea is that a Tablet is used that does not need to be visible and therefore more screen real estate for the navigation area, scroll bars.
You can make scroll bars always appear:

• System Preferences > General > display the scroll bar > choose "always."

Note that on Mac you can turn on or off the mode full screen with command + SHIFT + F.
