  • Unit test, Visual Studio 2010 digital input read event

    Hello!

I have problems in Visual Studio 2010, using NOR-DAQmx, but ONLY in a unit test project. I have compiled a dll that uses a DigitalChangeDetection task handler. The dll work very well in a draft standard form, but does not work in a Test project.

I used .NET Framework 4.0 with success. Tried to switch to .NET framework 3.5, but it is not possible for a test project in Visual Studio 2010.

When I start my test, it works fine until the event is raised. Once he does, the test will stop without exception or detail except the following result:

"The agent process was stopped during the execution of the test."

Nothing is caught in the trap in debugging.

Also, I get the following in the Event Viewer error message:

If the event is on another computer, the display information had to be saved with the event.

The following information has been included in the event:

I understand that Visual Studio 2010 is not yet officially supported so here's my 2 questions:

-I'm the only one experiencing this problem? (Easily duplicated by taking the sample project: DotNET3.5\Digital\Read Values\ReadDigChan_ChangeDetection_Events and extract the relevent part of to put in a separate dll so that you can try to UnitTest in a project UnitTest.)

-Update on what NOR-DAQmx will rely on VS2010? (I read here: http://forums.ni.com/t5/Measurement-Studio-for-NET/Support-for-Visual-Basic-2010-NET-4-Framework/m-p... this is supposed to be before the end of the year, but no updates would be great because I could not find any information on it)

    Best regards

    Hello Pierre,.

As NOR-DAQmx is not yet officially supported in Visual Studio 2010, it is not quite clear why this problem occur. At this point, the official release date has not been announced yet, however, please continue to check the updates to www.ni.com/support (drivers and updates). Thank you

  • Need help have infected files in the files C:\SysVolInfo and drwtsn32.exe

Since writing in days ago and got the help of support Ben everything went well. Today got on the internet and page keeps telling me to download adobe Flash Player again and it is supposed to be already in my files that I had put them there. Where they went I don't know? My antivirus ran this morning to tell about the infected files in the system volume information files. Presented those avast and have not heard of them. So they are sitting making me crashing. Now, I get an error message about drwtsn32.exe - Postmordem debugger. Type of event: BEX P1drwtsn32.exe etc etc. Help?

Hi and thanks for responding. I thought I was in trouble. I have Windows XP SP3 Home Ed. I went back for the safety of MS for a quick scan Scanner and found no errors. Re-scanned all files with my Avast antivirus and again came to the top with two infected files. I put them in quarantine. Then decided to back the System Configuration utility, run msconfig and that really put everything in order, but still had the crash. Watched the sysconfig utility Services and I saw had Lass of DCOM Server and also drwtsn32.exe process came as error Postmordem debugger in the analysis report. So I made a Safe Mode and reset the permissions for the files. After the reboot, everything is running normal and be online without crashing. I hope Avast gives me a report on these infected files, I had. I'm going to Microsoft Security Essentials for a better security environment. Thanks for the good advice.

    Try the following.

Firstly, uninstall your current version of HP Support Assistant using Microsoft 'Fixit' at the following link: this is particularly useful for correcting problems that may prevent resettlement on the machines running a 64 bit OS.

    http://goo.GL/O6iVb

    Once done, restart the PC.

Then download and install the latest version of HP Support Assistant of the page on the link below - the download links are to the bottom of the page.

    http://goo.GL/ODyqy

    After installation, restart the PC.

The Support Assistant now for windows 8 even if your mobile phone does not support that. If it still does not work, you will need to download the Support Assistant.

  • all samples n transferred from the buffer

    Hi all

I have a question for every N samples transferred DAQmx event buffer. By looking at the description and the very limited DevZones and KBs on this one, I am inclined to believe that the name is perfectly descriptive of what must be his behavior (i.e. all samples N transferred from the PC buffer in the DAQmx FIFO, it should report an event). However, when I put it into practice in an example, either I have something misconfigured (wouldn't be the first time) or I have a basic misunderstanding of the event itself or how DAQmx puts in buffer work with regeneration (certainly wouldn't be the first time).

In my example, I went out 10 samples from k to 1 k rate - so 10 seconds of data. I recorded for every N samples transferred from the event of the buffer with a 2000 sampleInterval. I changed my status of application of transfer of data within the embedded memory in full with the hope that it will permanently fill my buffer with samples regenerated (from this link ). My hope would be that after 2000 samples had been taken out by the device (e.g., take the 2 seconds) 2000 fewer items in the DMA FIFO, it would have yielded 2000 samples of the PC for the FIFO DMA buffer and so the event fires. In practice it is... not to do so. I have a counter on the event that shows it fires once 752 almost immediately, then lights up regularly after that in spurts of 4 or 5. I am at a loss.

Could someone please shed some light on this for me - both on my misunderstanding of what I'm supposed to be to see if this is the case and also explain why I see what I see now?

    LV 2013 (32 bit)
    9.8.0f3 DAQmx
Network of the cDAQ chassis: 9184
    cDAQ module: 9264

    Thank you

There is a large (unspecced, but the order of several MB) buffer on the 9184.  He came several times on the forum, here a link to an another discussion about this.  Quote me:

Unfortunately, I don't know the size of this buffer on the 9184 on the top of my head and I don't think it's in the specifications (the buffer is also shared between multiple tasks).  This is not the same as the sample of 127 by buffer slot AO which is present on all chassis cDAQ - controller chassis ethernet / wireless contains an additional buffer which is not really appropriate I can say in published specifications (apparently it's 12 MB on the cDAQ wireless chassis).

The large number of events that are triggered when you start the task is the buffer is filled at startup (if the on-board buffer is almost full, the driver will send more data — you end up with several periods of your waveform output in the built-in buffer memory).  So in your case, 752 events * 2000 samples/event * 2 bytes per sample = ~ 3 MB of buffer memory allocated to your task AO.  I guess that sounds reasonable (again would really a spec or KB of...) I don't know how the size of the buffer is selected).

The grouping of events is due to data sent in packages to improve efficiency because there is above with each transfer.

The large buffer and the consolidation of the data are used optimizations by NOR to improve flow continuously, but can have some strange side effects as you saw.  I might have a few suggestions if you describe what it is you need to do.

    Best regards

  • How can I stop HP Support Assistant from loading at startup?

I have a Pavilion dvt6 running Win7 (x 64). Whenever I start my computer, the HP Support Assistant appears in the lower left of the screen. While I'm not interested in the uninstall wizard, I am not interested in having run every time that I start. I joined the service and disabled the HP Support Assistant, and I see the related .exe (hpsa_service.exe) file in my task as a process manager. Is there another process that I need to disable (or change) to close the wizard at startup, or a specific setting in the wizard for help I can to avoid any start-up start-up?

Hey darkhorse123 - I think I solved the problem! Window Wizard of decision-making support for would leap me upward by a few minutes after I started. My first thought was that it was because the Support Assistant was configured as a delayed start service, but no luck. However, today, after doing more research on the file, I came across a post at random - nothing to do with HP - but that seems to have targeted the cause - the Task Scheduler.

I checked my task scheduler and noticed that the HP Support Assistant Quick Start task has been configured to run three minutes after I booted the laptop. Coincidence with the pop-up calendar? Probably not! I changed the setting that I hope it worked.

To change the Task Scheduler settings, go to control panel > administrative tools > Task Scheduler. Open the items on the left (click on the arrow next to the Task Scheduler Library and the HP folder, and then click the folder Support Assistant). All tasks related to the Support Wizard should open on the top right of the screen. [If you do not see the triggers for each, click on each, then the trigger tab in the lower window]. Right-click on each that has a trigger, you want to change (including all tasks that start at startup...), and then click "Properties". Click on the tab 'Triggers' to the bottom of the tab is a button "Edit". Click on, and then change the setting to 'Begin task' all that is right for you. There is no "Never" setting, so if you just want to run the task manually, disable the button "Activate" at the bottom of the window.

I'm guessing that disable the HP Support Assistant simply prevents to start his own - and apparently this isn't the wizard that opens the pop-up window is the Task Scheduler runs Quick Start, that's why we had so much trouble. I restarted my laptop twice now and no pop up window is the time! I'm cautiously optimistic...

If this solution works for you. If so, I'll mark it resolved. Good luck - I'm pulling for you.

  • Network down frequently on a virtual machine after the upgrade of computers host and vmware to win 10

    Dear all,

A week ago, I upgraded both my two machines VMWare Win 7 to win 10, as well as the host operating system. also from 7 to 10.

Now once every 1 or 2 days, one or both the two vmwares aura an esclamation mark on the network status icon in the lower right corner and West no connection.

The host operating system is NOT having any problems with the network.

The solution is to disable and reactive the adapter to virtual machines, or repair of running Network Diagnostics where she'll tell me that it s has reinstated the connection to the bridge. But obviously I´d prefer the VM´s to be on the internet 24/7 without my intervention.

I have another computer on the same router on which I did the same thing, but with this I m not having these problems. A different and not connected equipment via the VPN running on the host OS, which is the case with the machine that s had questions.

But even once, the host operating system is not having issues, the two VM´s aren´t always the two to have this problem, and this never happened when he was all Win 7.

I ve disabled some nights windows defender analysis and TCP/IP V6, but neither helped.

Want to see some of the information from the last network diagnostics / repair or some log file, or you already know what would be the solution to my problem?

    Thanks in advance!

    Best regards

    Jazzl

Well, I thought that a vm was having this problem a lot more often than the other, so I looked for error messages in windows journal, showing that the network problem - have to with DHCP btw - always spent 2 minutes after an event regarding slui.exe, not found on the other machine.

What I also noticed was that the problematic vm had lost its activation of windows with the upgrade to win 10 (win 10 has limits to how much the same license can be run as virtual machines), is is not the case for the more successful one.

Then I copied the good machine, which contains the same as the other, changed mac and uuid and now it s showing that enabled, no problem so far.

  • 10 of RoboHelp to crash when generating a CHM

I use Robohelp 10.0.1.292 on a Windows 7 64-bit with 4 GB of RAM. I have a Robohelp project with 1 969 topics where I have built three successful exits of WebHelp, but when I generate a CHM file using the same conditional tags as one of the outputs WebHelp, Robohelp constantly crashes on the same subject and produced two events of crash in my Windows event log:

    #1 event

I restarted my PC and rebooted Robohelp, then aand a conditional tag to exclude the subject of construction and managed to successfully generate the CHM file. I disabled the conditional and tried the following strategies involving all the same two sequential Robohelp falls:

    • Delete the PCD file
    • Delete the topic of the project and recreate it
    • Remove all links to and from this topic
    • Remove the topic from the table of contents
    • Disable conditional expressions
    • Delete the sequence to browse
    • Delete the index
    • Change the path to the CHM file to one that is outside the project
    • Shorten the output path to the CHM file to not have spaces

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

    Thank you

    Alan

That does not surprise me. What seems strange, is that say you that again, the incident occurs if you delete all the content in the topic. Certainly, which seems to indicate that something is perhaps ladle with the name of the file.

I'd be tempted to try a slight variation on the name of the file and see if it works. Also, try a variation on the title of the topic.

    See you soon... Rick
