Every day at the same time that play the same music
Hello
I have my M4 2 days and now every day at the same time 10:03 play the same music.
How to stop this, the music in the first place.
And the second for every day.
I don't have any timetable for an alarm setting alarm, something else?
MVG,
I found it... my fault.
It's the music warning for incoming mail.
Should start just 2 different days on the same time.
Sorry guys.

Hi all
It's really weird... and very frustrating.
I own an IQ506 (with TV tuner) which I was quite pleased. So much so, that I had my office purchase, too (IQ504). But lately, my computer acted (locking up, freezing). Funny enough, the IQ504, we bought for work has also been acing similarly.
Today, the IQ504 at work died. We ran startup diagnostics tool and found a problem with the hard drive (not detected).
I'm here houses a TouchSmart work, but before going to bed, I tried to wake up from its sleep to see the doughnut of Vista of death. So I made a forced shutdown and restart. Then, I got an error "missing media, please restart." So I did. Several times, to see the same error. I'm trying to run the diagnostics F9 (which is slow to run) and find the diagnostic tools cannot find the HARD drive. I reboot again and enter the Setup program. Of course, no hard drive detected.
This seems to be a strange coincidence. The two PCs in different parts of the city, BOTH die the SAME day with the SAME error?
Dead hard drive? or the SATA controller would be dead?
Please don't tell me that all the new photos of the birthday of my daughter are now gone...
Is that what HP would cover under warranty?
What can I do?
Thank you
Doon

Udates who of 'success' every day? The same updates?
Running Vista Home premium, automatic updates told me each day that there are updates to load. After a few days, noticed that it is always the same updates that are "successfully" updated... 62.9MBs k 2656351 & 2600217 & 2487367 & 2468871 & 2533523. Why?

Satellite A500 guard to wake up every day at the same time
I recently bought a laptop A500 and installed Linux it y a. almost everything works fine, but I have a strange problem with suspension. My laptop every time wakes at 08:19. Recently I noticed that sometimes it just turns after that I stopped it the night before. All at the same time, always.
I know this may seem like a problem of Linux, but I had two different Linux systems installed (Gentoo and Ubuntu) and used two different commands from the terminal. I think it could be something with the BIOS (I don't update or something, it is by default), but I have checked all the options there and have not found anything that could be related to my problem.

XP Pro, wakes up from Hibernate every day at the same time
As the title says... I put my XP Pro in Hibernate every morning before leaving the House.
If I don't turn it on again at night, the next morning when I wake up the computer is turned on. I watched it several times, as well as based on the same Viewer, it seems something is waking up to 22:58, and I can't understand what it is.
Any help will be appreciated.
Some people don't know what is their motherboard and BIOS or how to know.
Sometimes, they have no idea what a Tasl scheduled is one or the other or how same find/glance at what they might have.
If you want to see what is the card mother and BIOS, follow these steps:
Click Start, run and enter in the box:
Msinfo32
Click on OK and when the system info summary appears, click on Edition, select all, copy, and then paste the information here.
There will be some personal information (such as the user name and the name of the system), and anything that turns information private for you, simply delete the pasted information.
Then you know what is the motherboard and BIOS (and a few other good things) and can find manuals and documents on the wide Wide World of the Web and see what options and suggest appropriately and not be vague :)
If you think that the system's wake-up on LAN, you stop for the night, unplug your Internet cable and see if the system is running when check you it in the morning.
If you find the system that runs every morning and then when you disconnect the Internet cable and she wakes up no more, then he could wake up on the local network, if you know where to look and not guess what it might be (now you know the motherboard and BIOS according to the previous information).
If you want to know about all the tasks planned and not guess if she can be a scheduled task, follow these steps:
Click Start, run and enter in the box:
cmd
Click OK to open a command prompt window.
In the command window enter the following command to display the scheduled task, their new race, etc. :
schtasks/query
Then you can capture the results to a text file with this command
schtasks/query > tasks
Open the file tasks with any text editor, select all the text, copy and paste here and you'll learn about all scheduled tasks.
If you see a scheduled task ran or about 22:58 to understand what it is and do something for this task (disable or tell him don't not to wake the computer).
There is also a log file of scheduled task that you can watch to see what happens with scheduled tasks:
c:\windows\SchedLgu.txt
File schedule tasks is probably clutterd with a bunch of junk, making it difficult to interpret, so make a new log as follows:
Stop the Task Scheduler Service.
Click on start, settings, Control Panel, administrative tools, services and locate the Task Scheduler Service and stop it.
Remove or rename the scheduled task probably cluttered log file that is usually found here:
c:\windows\SchedLgu.txt
Restart the Task Scheduler service to create a new journal (it's just a text file) and verify that a new log file has been created and that it looks like this:
"Task Scheduler service".

I am running Vista Home Premium, 32-bit operating system, service pack 2.

Microsoft - other hardware - HID Non-User Input data filter (KB 911895) can you please help me
AndréHi MrPeanut,
Welcome to the Microsoft answers site.
This problem can occur because the device sends data of strength of signal for Windows. These data can be interpreted as input device real, such as the movement of the mouse, button activity or strikes. Therefore, this transmission can prevent Windows mode 'sleep'. Windows must enter "sleep" mode to activate the screen saver.
I suggest that you update the drivers for all devices on the computer entry. You can update the drivers from Device Manager and check.
See the link for update drivers: update a hardware driver that is not working properly: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work-good
If the problem persists, then I suggest that you uninstall the update from Add/Remove programs in the control panel.
Now, download you the link that resets the update reset Windows components from the following link: How to reset the Windows Update components?: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/971058
Now start you the Windows updates and check.

When you do the automatic updates of Windows Vista, I get the code below.
'A security update for Windows Media Format Runtime 11 for Windows Vista (KB968816)' = failure
- What should I do to fix this?
- And what does this update actually?
Thanks for any help provided.
scrubie,
If you go to programs and features, and then on the left side you should see a link for "Daily display installed." Which would then show the list of updates with the State which will show you if it failed or not.Hope that helps. Mike - Engineer Support Microsoft Answers
