First, note that the stop something start automatically when
you start peut improve your performance, but it may not. More likely
It will improve takes how long to start, but then have little or no
    effect on performance after that.
Second, note that if you want a program runs all the time, it
makes no difference to performance, it starts automatically or
start you manually once the initialization is complete. As a unique example of
I want my e-mail all the time running program, I have start
automatically. Performance is no different now then it was back when I
    used to run it manually.

Note also that you should be concerned of all the programs that start
automatically, not only those who enter in the system tray. Not
all programs start manifesting by an icon in the status bar.

You do not have absolutely need anything be it start automatically. Almost
Everyone must have its security programs from
automatically - antivirus, anti-spyware (if you have one), and
Firewall. Almost all the rest is up to you.

On each program, you don't want to automatically start, check its
Options to see if he has the choice of not start (make sure you)
Indeed choose not to run, not just a "don't show icon.
Optional). Many can easily and better be arrested like that. If that is not
work, run MSCONFIG from the start. Run the line, and then click the Startup tab.
Uncheck the programs that you do not want to automatically start.

However, if I were you, I wouldn't do it just for the application of
the minimum number of running programs. Despite what many people say
You should be concerned, not with the way that a lot of these programs
you run, but who. Some of them can degrade performance severely, but
others have no effect on performance.

Don't stop all programs to run willy-nilly. What you need to do
is to determine what each program is, what its value is up to you which
the performance cost is its running all the time. You can try
Internet search and ask questions about the details here.

Once you have this information, you can make a smart informed
decision on what you want to keep and what you want to get rid of.

  • I'd like to find which program is running in the background on my computer.

I use windows 7 premium 64 bit on my desktop, a program starts and runs for about 4 minutes spasmodically in the background. When this happens, it slows down and sometimes even freezes the window running. How can I find out what program is running so that I can uninstall if necessary? I'm just an average guy not too tech savvy and I'm just hoping this is an easy fix without taking it to an expert. Any help would be appreciated to this annoying problem.

    Thanks Lesh1

    Hello lesh1,

IType.exe and ipoint.exe respectively are the drivers for Microsoft Keyboard and Microsoft Mouse. They are designed especially for those who have Microsoft Devices. These drivers are usually sent through Windows Update. So, if you don't have a Microsoft Keyboard or a mouse, you can safely uninstall them. In revenge, leaving these drivers as are, would mean without damaging your system.

Note: These drivers are likely registered as keyboard and Microsoft mouse in your control panel. You can remove the Wizard "uninstall a program".

    Hope this helps,

  • Microsoft programs that run in the background on my computer

Microsoft are programs running in the background on my computer and it makes my computer slow opening and navigation in the programs. I went into msconfig and in respect of the services, I check the box "hide microsoft programs" then apply. My computer operated by more quickly and efficiently. Howerer, a few hours later the "hide" checkbox unchecks and my computer starts to be slow and do the same thing all over again. How to hide permanently microsoft programs so that this computer slow is not the case?          I already have the diagnosis of 'memory', and the memory of the computer is fine.

Hello Ballvk, click hide all Microsoft Services is not neutralize them and they still work at startup. What you need to do is to disable services that are not of use to you.

Click Start and type services.msc in the search box to open the Services associated with your computer. See what services to run and that you do not. To see a list of default services visit http://www.speedyvista.com/services.php.
Check also for other programs to start in The Configuration utility (msconfig) system.

The less you have to run all the time, most things you want to run will perform:

Use Autoruns to understand this all starts when your computer's / when you log in.  Look for whatever it is you do not know using Google (or ask here.)  You can hopefully figure out if there are things from when your computer does (or connect) you don't not need and then configure them (through their own built-in mechanisms is the preferred method) so they do not - start using your resources without reason.

You can download and use Process Explorer to see exactly what is taking your time processor/CPU and memory.  This can help you to identify applications that you might want to consider alternatives for and get rid of all together.

    Hello

    1. don't you make changes to the computer until the problem occurred?

Method 1: Try scanner SFC [SFC system] on the computer that would be a system file corrupt on the computer search and replace.

Method 2: If the problem persists then I suggest you to set up your computer in a clean boot state, and check to see if the same problem happens.

By setting your boot system minimum state helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem.

anyway. When you refresh or recompose a machine, a user must first be disconnected, after that the machine can be recomposed, it's works the view.

If, for some reason, an appstack or an accessible volume in writing is still attached to a machine, if you crop or refresh the appstacks and writable volumes will be spare once the machine has been reconfiguring.

If you remove the device after use and the appstack and accessible volume in writing is still attached, writable volume will be deleted (because it is read/write) and appstack will be detached simply because it is read-only.

Hello I am downloading from my site and my characters are messy. I type an e (taken glyphs-window), but what appears is an and the copyright sign? can someone tell me how I get rid off this?

I tried a lot of things, but nothing seems to make a difference.

In my view, they have already done for you...

The site seems OK now. Hooray !

But let's dig down to the serious things of this.

If the browser needs a statement of character. Probably ' UTF-8 ', but another or an older one would be as well, as long as it's cheap, and it respects the method of characterization of the Web page.

This statement can be provided by (1) the web server itself (its default value), (2) the htaccess file in your web root directory server, or (3) on each web page. Where there are several and contradictory statements perhaps, the older in the command above rules. But in the case where the Server and the htaccess do not provide a statement of character and your web page later on, it shouldn't be a problem.

Your provider said that they do not have a such context in their web server, and it wasn't a htaccess file in your root folder (Muse is not create it for you). Once again: do not worry, it should always be no problem, because all your web pages provides the declaration as well (thanks to Muse). We have checked that, no doubt.

That is where their claim is not accurate. BTW: many tips are on the Internet on the common practice in this area and they all advice that the htaccess is not the place more obvious to the declaration. The page is the best place to put it.

W3C (the 'boss' of http and html)

    some general information:

Choosing & applying a character encoding

    putting in a .htaccess file:

Definition of charset in .htaccess information

and finally, put on the page:

    Declaring character encodings in HTML

But what is even more strange: I checked the web server of your provider to access this service online, and it seems that their server is to provide a framework (and it is UTF-8, fortunately). It's the opposite of what they have been say...

Now I have the idea of some personal provider noticed this morning that their server wasn't working properly (maybe after a failure of server or another incident or failure), serving the pages with a wrong setting. Then maybe they quickly corrected, and not to let you know that, they tell you to put in place this htaccess file (which makes no difference, just as the declaration of your page also could not prevail in the setting of the server).

So now, you are done with all the three statements: a parameter, a htaccess in your Web site folder and that of your server page. As long as they all say and expect the same (UTF-8) you don't have to worry about this.

    Problem solved, three times!

PS: many accommodation providers (and I'm afraid that yours as well) tend to declaring that whatever they do is 'standard' and 'obvious'. While in many situations, it's always a little different and certainly not the standard, not to mention obvious...

  • Can what programs I use to the cmd prompt? (win xp)

A lot of programs in Windows XP can be executed in the command prompt window (hereinafter, 'window cmd').  Some of them are related to the widgets as sysdm.cpl, others run the programs that display the output in the window cmd, as net statistics server.  I'm looking for a list of the programs that display the output in the command window.  We will just limit to the standard set of programs provided with Windows XP, if possible.  Someone has a link to such a list?
