everytime I open a new window, add 0n control also opens in a separate tab

Everytime I open a new window, this window will open with a second tab: add it on the window control and management. How can I stop to happen, while only the new window opens?

This could mean that the module control window has been added to your hompage tabs. To resolve this problem:

1. go in: Firefox > Options > general

2. If the first drop down menu says: show my home page, and then continue...

3. use the buttons to choose you new homepage (s)

4. restart Firefox and I hope only your new homepage is displayed

  • New window creates a gap between the Favorites (top) and tabs (bottom)

19/12/14 bug Firefox began to occur:

    • When having only 1 window open and opening tabs behaves normally.
    • However, when you open a new window of the space between the bookmarks (top) and tabs (bottom) spans all windows. Its boring.

So far only challenge is to just close and open 1 single window, or to use the module 'Classic theme restaurateur' and switch the tabs position from the bottom to the top, but all new windows will open the gap again.

    Image below.

Unfortunately, none of these options works, so far, use 'CTR' and turn the legs up (default) allows the opening of new windows without gaps.
Seems to be some sort of bug recently showing on CTR.

You will need to find a way to contact the developer to let them know.

EDIT: It seems to be resolved, seems a new version was released and the problem disappeared. Thank you very much for the help.

  • I have 4 recorded images.  Each is opened in a separate tab.  How do I drag each on a single file?

Newbie looking for help here.  I have 4 recorded images.  Each is opened in a separate tab.  How do I drag each on a single file?

I find that the easiest way is to organize a 4up on the screen and then use the move tool to drag between windows.

    Window > arrange > 4up

  • I have the new Windows 7 computer. Also have the HP office jet 5510 printer range. Printer does everything except printing color photos.

Windows 7 Professional Dell computer. HP Office jet 5510 printer all-in-one. Just had to plug in printer for it to work because the drivers are automated by Dell and HP.

Printer does everything but images printing color. Pics. out in black and white. I think I tried everything. This has happened since the new computer.

Nothing to do with the printer that used to be useful on the old computer is left as the amount of ink etc. I printed everything in color. It's just the pictures.

Hope this is enough information. Thank you. Muriel

Origonally you posted this Q 13 and it came true.

You have not installed according to the instructions of HP, but simply pluged in there. Follow the link to HP on the previous answer and install the device properly

  • How can I have two instances of the same open page to separate tabs?

New 4.0.1 on a Win7 machine - last week using. It happens in time I want to open the same page twice. In the case of today, it's because I need to fill out a form and the need to look at a previous version - filled - in the same form that opens with the same URL. I've done this before, on the old machine with the next recent FF and Win XP.

Thank you and I love Firefox!

You can middle - click reload on the side of the right end of the address bar to open the same page in a new tab.

  • How can I change "open new window" tab behavior?

I used to be a long time Firefox user and then switch to Chrome for a while. Come back now, and I notice some strangeness with tabs and "new windows". Can't understand how to work around.

My "Home Page" is set up to open three tabs. A MSN, the second is my email, and the third is Google Calendar. It works fine, except...

    (1) if I choose 'New window' (Ctrl-N), it re-opens those same three tabs. When I open a new window, I don't want to reopen these three tabs. They are already open in the main window. How can I stop Firefox to do this? I can't find a way to get there.

    (2) the other door on the 'Home' button If I push the home button it loads all three of these tabs. In Chrome, there is another parameter for the 'home' vs the tabs start button. Is it possible to replicate this? Sometimes I hit the home button only to load MSN. I don't want all three of these tabs when I hit the home button. Any way around this?

    Danke.

    It is not possible.
A new window opens to the home page (s), so you should set the home page to about: blank or create a bookmark to the defined location: virgins and hold the Shift key and left click to open this page in a new window.

You can add these three pages to the command-line of the desktop shortcut to open the page when you start Firefox Firefox.

Is it possible to get hyperlinks in the PDF to open it (as shown in the Word document, for example in a new window). I have also several links in the word document that I want to open in the same window that I always want to happen like this in the PDF document.

    Thank you

The tool allows to convert all links in your file that point to an external file or a URL. This will not affect those who are pointing to another position in the same file. For other questions please send me an email and we will discuss this private sector.

  • How can I open a new window from a link but have the window about half the normal size?

    screen_enlarrge_image.png

I would like to bookmark a link Hypertext; to open a new window with a larger version of the bookmark in the new window.  I would also like to have the new window to be half size so that it is not too 'spaces' around the enlarged image.

  • Having a weird problem with the new window. Download the old look of firefox with incorrect URL and messy appearance.

I opened a new window in the main window of Firefox. The new window is nothing like on the main window of Firefox 4 Beta. And when I have tabs in a new window, the URL doesn't change. Infact, it changes nothing in the tabs. It remains that if I change it manually.

I do not encounter this problem in the main window of Firefox. If I open a new window of hand. Why is this?

Take a look at the screenshots I did.

    Main window
    New window

You may also notice the tab I'm the and the URL is displayed in the image of the new window. You can see what I'm talking about here.

Start Firefox in Firefox to solve the issues in Safe Mode to check if one of the Add-ons is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Modules > themes).

    • Makes no changes on the start safe mode window.

    See:

Create a new profile exclusively for version 4.0 beta and create a shortcut on the desktop with Pei 'profile' attached to the target to launch this profile.

  • How can I stop the ZenMate of opening a tab "Welcome to ZenMate" asking me to activate ZenMate everytime I open my browser?

Everytime I open Firefox a second tab opens by asking that I activate ZenMate of ZenMate. Given that I have never activated, it does not appear on the list of installed programs in Control Panel. I don't want to install it and do not want to be disturbed by this tab, which is the active tab when Firefox is opened. If I remove whatever it is at the origin tab to open, is there something else that needs to be deleted to remove completely traces of ZenMate?

Thanks for sharing your browser configuration data. He appears next to your question under Question details > Details of the system more.

There is an extension of Zenmate, and it is most likely the culprit. You can disable it and perhaps remove page modules. Either:

    • CTRL + SHIFT + a
    • "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons

In the left column, click Extensions. Then, you can find it on the right and clear- or perhaps to remove it. If there is no button Delete, there should be an uninstall program in the control panel (or elsewhere).

Often, a link will appear above at least an extension disabled/removed to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links in the last step.

    A little luck?

  • New tabs always appear in the new window - how to change back?

Just upgraded to FF4. Now, when I try to open links in a new tab (by Ctrl-click), they always open in a new window. Subsequent links also open in the new window, so I have to have two windows open, rather than to have just all tabs in a single window.

SOLVED after restarting. I could not mark my answer as a solution for some reason any.

    1. Press Alt + T
    2. Click on Options
    3. Click on the category tabs
    4. Check the option "open new windows in new tabs instead of this"

  • Don't know what happened, but now, everytime I open a new tab, a new window opens that contains the same information as the tab.

Don't know what I did, but now, everytime I open a tab, the tab opens as it should, but it ALSO opens a new window containing the same information as my original window. (same tabs, etc.) Almost a duplicate of my original window. I searched everywhere for a solution, but fails.

  • Add it to the opening of new windows in a new tab in the same window

I use a software that opens the Scheduler in a new window. I have in the past had an add on which enabled the new window to open in the original window in a new tab. Add it on disappeared when I refresh Fire Fox but I don't remember the name of the add element on. Thank you.

Have you checked the settings in the Options/Preferences > tabs?

Everytime I open a new Firefox window, the new window opens to the page of hope (as I want him), but then a tab opens with the new window. I want Firefox to stop doing this. When I open a new window I want just the window to open it. I don't know how to solve this problem I've known idea how I did that happen. First of all, it happened when I hit Ctrl + N to open a new window, but I did not hit the "N" itself. I pressed one of the other keys around the "N" and this issue has started.

    It's quite strange!

  • Whenever a new window (or even Firefox windows program such as Add-ons, bookmarks, settings, etc.) is opened, Firefox hangs for 30 seconds before you open it.

I have reset Firefox, then reinstalled, removed all extensions and plugins, uninstalled and reinstalled Flash Player, Java updated, etc. I also created new profiles, which have the same problem.

The problem does not appear in Mode safe, which is strange because I have disabled all of the built-in extensions and you run the program in normal mode, and the problem persists. At the moment I don't use any extensions, plugins and none of the themes and Firefox still freezes for a short period of time whenever I try to open a new window.

This problem does not occur in IE or Chrome. I have not installed any programs recently; the problem started happening randomly.

    Hello

Safe mode also disables themes (appearance) in (Alt + T) Tools > Add-ons. and hardware acceleration - the manual setting is in Tools > Options > Advanced > general > use hardware acceleration when available. All these settings/options/additional custom modules can also be individually or collectively disabled/enabled/changed to normal mode of Firefox to see if a theme, or hardware acceleration is causing issues. Deactivation/activation of hardware acceleration and some types of modules in normal mode may require a restart of Firefox - is a fast way to restart Firefox press SHIFT + F2, type reboot and Enter.
