When I try to save my pages / tabs, I can not, because this option is grayed out. I even uninstalled FF with Revo Uninstaller completely reinstalled without new plugins or extensions, and it remains greyed out. The only thing I can do is pin the tabs, but I wish to use this option. If I can't, I don't know whether its Firefox or malware or? Thanks in advance for any help. Windows 7 family Premium SP1, Firefox ver. 22
Thank you very much for your time and effort. It was not the solution, but I couldn't find a place to close the ticket/request. I discovered that I had pinned tabs, in doing so, it grayed out this option. Once I have this marking tabs, I was able to use the option ' use current Page/s. Thanks again for responding so quickly.

How can I keep search Babalon from appearing everytime I open a new tab?
I used to have the problem that whenever I open Firefox, my homepage, motor of research and new tabs were all Babalon search. I managed to get rid of the search engine, and I think I've fixed to the homepage, but everytime I open a new tab need me always in search of Babalon. I removed all the AddOns that are associated with Babalon, I have also removed/uninstalled programs Babalon. I even tried simply to block the Web site, but that doesn't seem to work. All suggestions are welcome! Thank you!

How can I stop a URL not desired to load everytime I open a new tab?
All of a sudden now everytime I open a new tab, I'm getting a CVS site for cheap pills.
Do a check with some malicious software malware scanning programs.
You need to scan with all programs, because each program detects a different malicious program.

for several years, after uninstalling and reinstalling, I can not open a new tab without a double full being created with the same open tabs. Example of... I have a window with four tabs open. In my sandbox, I have 4 windows, all with the same 4 tabs. uugh!
Could you check to see if you have a given box checked in the Options dialog box:
"3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Options > tabs
If "Show glimpses of tab in the Windows task bar" is turned on, instead of having an entry by the window, you get one entry per tab, uncheck the box to turn off.

Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance).
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode without failure.

This started after I installed a software recently. I uninstalled this software now. I even put the page as "empty". Also, click on the button "restore default".
But the problem persists.(it is not happen when I open firefox, only happens when I open a new tab, while firefox is already open)
How can I change this back to normal? I need only a blank page to open.
- In the address bar, type Subject: config and press ENTER.
- In the filter at the top, type: keyword. URL
- Double click top and delete everything in it and replace it with http://www.google.com/search?q=
The URL to add in "keyword. URL"becomes a link in this message, right-click and choose"Copy link location"to copy it to the Windows Clipboard. Then press CTRL + V to paste. You have to type all of this saves.
If your homepage has changed too, follow these steps.
- Go to the site you want to set as your home page. If you want a blank page, type: Subject: empty in the address bar and press ENTER.
- Go to Tools | Options | General .
- Make sure that it says in the first drop 'show my home page'.
- Click on the button called "use current Pages' to set the home page to the one you have on the screen.
After completing the steps above, install this add-on to prevent another search engine to change your preferences: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/browserprotect/

In the Blackboard, I need not to open a new tab in Firefox. Before the last update, it was fine, but now when I click on a new choice (that is, the notebook) it always opens a new tab. The administrator of my Bb says it's a browser problem. I can right click to open a new tab, but there is no choice not to open a new tab.
You can check some prefs on the topic: config page:
- 1: active tab; 2: new window; 3: new tab;
For links opened via JavaScript, you can watch this pref:
You can open the topic: config page via the address bar.
You can accept the warning and click on "I'll be careful" to continue.Start Firefox in Safe Mode to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is the cause of the problem.
- Put yourself in the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/tools > Modules > appearance
- Do NOT click on the reset button on the startup window Mode safe

Open the new tab in the last tab
I discovered this a few days before.
Previously, when I clicked on a link, it is opened in the next tab.
Now when I click on a link, and it is opened in a new tab, this tab is the last tab in the window.
When I click on the + to open a new tab is empty, it is open to the end, it's ok.
But what do you have with the normal functionality to open a link in the last tab? It is very aggravating. There is a hidden parameter for where opens a new tab, launched from an existing tab. You can check here:
(1) in a new tab, type or paste Subject: config in the address bar and press ENTER. Click on the button promising to be careful.
(2) in the search above the list box, type or paste the tabs and make a pause so that the list is filtered
(3) if the preference browser.tabs.insertRelatedAfterCurrent is bolded and "user set" false, double-click it to restore the default value true.
If you test in a tab where you were having the problem, which solve this problem?
Note: If you have not changed that yourself, it is possible that one of your modules lit. You use the extensions that modify the operation of the tabs in Firefox? You can check on the page modules. Either:
- CTRL + SHIFT + a
- "3-bar" menu button (or tools) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then you can read your extension on the right side.

I opened a new tab in firefox, and every time I get a new search engine powered by Bing. I love bing first, then the random image shows a panic all triggered a massive anxiety. I don't need this shit.
There was another post which apparently "solved" the problem, but IT DOES NOT WORK. I tried to go to about: config so don't tell me that. What can I do to solve the problem of firefox.
WELL. My wonderful girlfriend showed me how to solve this problem since I couldn't find a solution during troubleshooting of Firefox. BASICALLY. I restarted firefox. And voila it's fixed.

I tried to restart firefox, I deleted and uninstalled everything related to distance of AVG and I have no extensions of AVG, I deleted the AVG toolbar but safe search is still there! Help, please! I really want these vignettes of return! By the way, I have windows 8.1
Do a clean reinstall and delete the program folder before Firefox to (re) install a new copy of the current version of Firefox.
Download a new copy of Firefox and save the file to the desktop.
- Firefox 26: http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/all.html
If possible to uninstall your current version of Firefox to clean the Windows registry and settings in the security software.
- Do NOT remove the data personal when you uninstall your current version of Firefox, because all profile files will be deleted and you lose personal data such as bookmarks and passwords from other versions of Firefox profiles.
Delete the program folder Firefox before installing newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
- (32-bit Windows) "C:\Program Files\Mozilla Firefox\"
- (Windows 64 bit) "C:\Program Files (x 86) \Mozilla.
- It is important to remove the Firefox program folder to delete all the files and make sure that there is no problem with the files that were the remains after uninstallation.
Your bookmarks and other personal data are stored in the Firefox profile folder and will not be affected by a uninstall and (re) install, but make sure that 'delete personal data' is NOT selected when you uninstall Firefox.
If you keep problems also create a new profile.
