On my laptop Windows 8, I can't connect to my admin user or even use my administrative password. Whenever I try to open a session in his will just a black screen with the cursor, and when I try to use my password it dims the screen and I can't do anything. Is there anyway that I can fix this?
I solved the problem by resetting my laptop using the recovery mode.

After logging on my Satellite Pro only black screen and the cursor are visible
I have a windows vista pro (PSAASE-00G004GR) satellite after turn on and typing the password for windows vista, the screen goes black but I see that the cursor moves & because it seems that the hard drive also works in th background, but I can't see anything except the mouse cursor , I tried to boor with other options (LAST WORK safe MODE KNOWN FEATURES... etc) but it's still the same only black screen and the cursor...
I do not prefer the product cause of my data recovery on this subject, any ideas?
thnxHello
You have the Satellite Pro A100 PSAAS hmm if you want to save your personal data, I recommend to remove the portable computer HARD drive and try connecting it to another computer via an external USB HDD controller. These cases of 2.5 HARD disk are not expensive and you can buy it in every store of the computer.
Then you could try to recover the laptop delivered together with the Toshiba Recovery CD.
But wait; have you tried to connect the laptop to the external display?
Check it!
Maybe you could see something on the second screen.I think that this procedure could be useful to clarify what s wrong.
To me this question looks like a small little dysfunction of the FL inverter.
In this case the installation of the new operating system will help you not to solve this problem. But who knows the verification is necessary to find what could be wrong.
Good luck and bye ;)

As indicated in the title, I bought a ti 750 gtx.
N750Ti-2GD5/OC
The machine had a 620 in gt and works very well with it in. When I install the ti 750 gtx, however, the boot system hangs on a black screen with cursor / underscores and a single beep.
The system is a h8 1203, with a power of 460.
I also have a gts 250, that also installs and works fine. Ive read a little, and there is a problem with this map and the hp system? something about the type of bios? I couldn't quite follow what has been said.
Hello
If you upgrade to Windows 8 (UEFI-mode Setup) and apply the BIOS posted updated so you should be able to work to the video card.
Don't forget to create a set of external support of HP recovery before installing a new operating system.

Hello
A blackscreen can be very hard to fix. It's my generic convenience store which some you already have
has tried.One to try:
"C:\Windows\System32\winevt" in this folder is an another NEWSPAPER named one
Rename the folder of NEWSPAPER LOGSold and restart the computer.
'C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs'-> 'C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logsold '.
REN C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logs C:\Windows\System32\winevt\Logsold
You can try in a Command Prompt of a disk of Vista or a recovery Partition if you can't navigate to
the actual winevt file.-----------------------------------------------

OK, so last night, my computer was freezing up so I held the power button down to turn off, I turned it back and he asks me if I want to start in safe or just normally. I chose because it starts as usual, it's just sitting there, it goes through the motions as it will start but it never does, I went to sleep woke up to the top and all I have is a black screen with mouse pointer again, nothing has changed, the same things happen when I try to start it in safe mode. I tried to get the disks it is came up with, but the computer seems to not even acknowledge that they were never inserted, I don't know what to do, can anyone help me, I'm sitting here on the laptop of my bf and I am interested in this black screen with the pointer of the mouse in the Middle, I don't know what to do...

Hello
PC is a h8 - 1330's, and the graphics card is a NVIDIA GeForce GT 630 with driver version 9.18.13.270 dated 29/08/13. connected to a TV through an HDMI cable samsung. It is running windows OS 8.1.
I installed 1 conc TV tuner card but otherwise the system is HP standard configuration as it was shipped.
I think that I had a disorder with the pc update as I turned it on and after reaching the windows log on screen and pc connection seems automatic Windows boot in windows and I see only a black screen with the mouse cursor. I can ctrl + alt + delete and check out the Task Manager, but not other windows will appear. I tried to change username, sign in with a different account and get the same question.
I'm fighting to enter the safe mode or any other mode at startup to the top to see if I can roll back the video driver.
I tried pressing ESC then f11 to make a restore without success.
I can't enter the mode without fail to start via shift + f11 or f11.
My father has the same PC and does not see this issue.
I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of things I can try?
hoping to try a software patch before trying the different video cards/monitors to isolate the problem.
see you soon,
Andrew
Thank you for the additional information.
Try this to see if it helps:
To restore your PC to an earlier point in timeEnter in the right edge of the screen and then click on search.
(If you use a mouse, point to the upper right of the screen, move the pointer of the mouse down and then click Find.)Enter the control panel in the start search box and press or click on Control Panel.
Enter the collection in the control panel search box, and then tap or click recovery.
Press or click Open System Restore, and then follow the instructions.
Follow these instructions carefully to see if they will help you.
