Example: HP10bll: HB10ll calculator

I have problems with my HB10bll calculator, it keeps it sends me wrong answers when I'm working on the current value and future value

There is an orange function named P/year on the PMT button. It's the 4th button on the left on the top row. Do you see P/YR in orange print?

Type 1. Now, press the orange shift (two to the top of the key ON). Now press the PMT button to activate orange P/YR.

You should now be set at 1 payment per year. Repeat your numbers and they should be what you expect.

The P/year value will not change even if clear you the memory of the calculator. It will remain 1 until you change it.

  • Return text based on a calculated score

    I am a beginner with calculations of LiveCycle.  I created a questionnaire that calculates a score based on the answers that a user chooses to drop downs.

    Now I need to find a way to fill a field with a text based on the range of results.  For example, the score calculated for the questionnaire is between 8 and 10, then I want to have a subtitled 'Risk Assessment' field, which should fill it with the text "High".  If the calculated score added up to between 5 and 7, then "the risk assessment field must fill it with the text"Moderate". etc.

    I have tried to understand this using if/then, but so far have had no luck. This is what I have so far - my two fields named "Score" and "risk".

    If (Score.rawValue > =8) then (risk) == endif 'High'

    One way would be to use the Choose function in the case to calculate if the risk on the ground, so something like;

    Choose(Score, "Low", "Low", "Low", "Low", "Moderate", "Moderate", "Moderate", "High", "High", "High")

    I think the API requires an open handle to receive the success or failure on the Calc.

    I think about Windows, but why you could not run the script as a scheduled process? I was logged on Windows servers with my id and essmsh.exe observed sessions run in the context that I don't see that glass applications. I think it works for both my id (the id I connect with) and service ID. Wouldn't that accomplish the same thing?

    Hi Abraham,.

    You want two Tables, placed on separate sheets. When you create two tables, I suggest to put them both on the same sheet. When working to your satisfaction, move the second table to a second sheet.

    You will need a unique identifier for each row in the data table. If more than one session is charged at a telephone number, the phone number cannot be used as a unique identifier. A possible identifier could be the phone number and a serial number indicating the number of sessions charged to this number so far.

    You will need a third table that lists each type of meeting and the hourly rate for this type of meeting.

    If you want to LOCK the table of calculation/billing against accidental changes, consider using a table of separate single cell to enter ID unique to the session being charged.

    Here is an example showing the calculations and the transfer of results to the invoice table.

    Notes:

    Data:

    Columns A, B, C, D and F contain captured data. I suggest formatting of column F (type) as a context menu to choose the type of meeting. This avoids the possibility of typos and ensures the necessary exact match between the entries here and in column A of the table of rate sheet.

    The full date and time value is indicated in columns C and D as a reminder that all cells with Dates, hours or both contain a date and time value complete specifying a single moment in time. If you enter only once, numbers affects the part of the date to the date on which the entry is made. If only one date is entered, numbers affects the time 00:00:00, midnight at the beginning of this date part. You can format these cells to display only some of the time, but be aware that each cell also includes the date on which the entry was created, and this part of the date is included in all calculations involving this cell.

    Column E calculates the length of the meeting by subtracting the start time of the end time. Subtraction (D - C) is encapsulated in a statement IF that removes the calculation until both the departure and arrival times have been entered.

    E2: = IF (OR (LEN (D)<><>

    Column G calculates the price of the meeting by using the meeting Type registered in column F, the rate of this type in the table of rate sheet and the duration of the meeting of the E column. As above, the calculation is contained in an IF statement, which removes the calculation that there is a value in the column length (E)

    G2: = IF (LEN (E)<1,"",DUR2HOURS(E)*VLOOKUP(F,Rate sheet="" ::="">

    Column G calculates a billing code based on the phone number and the number of his appearances in the data table.

    G2: = IF (LEN (E)<>

    Rate sheet

    Column A contains a list of the types of meeting. Items in this list must be an exact match with the data entered in the column Type of the data table.

    Column B contains the price per hour for each type of meeting.

    All cells in this table contains the data entered.

    Invoice:

    Billing codes are entered in column a. entered values must be an exact match to a value in column G of table data.

    Columns B, C, D, E and F contain variations of the same formula (listed below).

    The formula uses MATCH () - 1 to determine the data row that contains the data to be included in the invoice and the numbers entered individually to determine the column of data that contains every piece of data to be transferred.

    As above, the OFFSET function is wrapped in a statement IF to quell the calculations until there is an entry in the column A.

    B2: = IF (LEN (A)<1,"",OFFSET(Data ::="" $a$1,match($a,data="" ::="">

    C2: IS EQUAL TO IF (LEN (A)<1,"",OFFSET(Data ::="" $a$1,match($a,data="" ::="">

    D2: = IF (LEN (A)<1,"",OFFSET(Data ::="" $a$1,match($a,data="" ::="">

    E2: = IF (LEN (A)<1,"",OFFSET(Data ::="" $a$1,match($a,data="" ::="">

    F2: = IF (LEN (A)<1,"",OFFSET(Data ::="" $a$1,match($a,data="" ::="" $h,0)-1,6))="" ::="" $a$1,match($a,data="" ::="">

    As noted above, Bill can be moved on a slip separated after construction. Numbers of update formulas to account for the change in the location if necessary.

    Tables built in Numbers ' 09.

  • increase the digits of accuracy in recording data in the file

    Hello

    In the attached VI written in Labview 8.5, can you tell me how I can save the data in the table to 6 decimal places?  From the code I posted, I can get up to 4 decimal places.

    Thanks for your help.

    hiNi.

    It looks like using 801, like the entry gives you many. Try to set it to 800, for example, and you get a lot of numbers in the worksheet (you may need to expand the cells to see all this while). Some of the numbers crunching manually (for example, using a calculator) and see if you get the same results for the first few points.

  • Comparison of the results of the performance and the sum of the sum of array elements

    I did a comparison of the performance of "Add table" with 2 other methods (an Add elements and function of ddot BLAS) to see who was the fastest and also to compare their results, given that I was watching a few slight differences.

    Conclusions
    BLAS ddot's quicker (just a little), then add items, then add it in a loop of table

    BLAS ddot and add items table give identical results almost all the time.

    I don't know why add items in a loop manually gives a slightly different result. I understand there are any rounding due to finite precision errors, but why is it different for the 2 other methods?

    This classic of digital computing: the quality of the result depends on the order of operations.

    A simple example is the calculation of a * b / c with a, b, c equal to 25, 200 and 100 respectively. The result should be 50, but if a, b and c are U8, the result depends on the order of operation, as shown in the example below. DBL and data non-entier, the difference is of course that much smaller, but still there are!

    In your case, the difference also stems from the order of operations:

    -in the table add-in, the product of all the elements is calculated first and then the elements of the array are added.

    -in the loop, the addition is performed after each multiplication.

  • How to search the table with margins?

    Hello!

    I have a signal that I admire from a PXI-5600 and store it in a table. What I want to do is to find the top of the signal (which I did successfully) and then calculate the bandwidth.

    What I do now, is to take the peak value and calculate 20 dB, so I use the "search of table 1 d' but I get index - 1. My guess is that this is happening because of this doesnat table contain EXACTLY the calculated value.

    Can I search somehow in the table for the values around one calculated?  For example; If I calculated the 10.08 value I want to search all between 9, 9 - 10.1.

    so I wonder how I can trace these points whith a line between them in my diet already spectrum

  • [ADF, JDev12.1.3] How to set the value of an attribute of VO 'max (attribute) + 1' when creating a new record?

    Hallo,

    I have a VO that selects records from a table databace where FkId = < value >.

    For example: this is the database table...

    ID RowDetNumber OtherFields FkId

    1   3     1            ...

    2   3     2            ...

    3   3     3            ...

    4   3     4            ...

    5   4     1            ...         |

    6   4     2            ...         | -VO selects these records (where FkId = 4 for example)

    7   4     3            ...         |

    8   5     1            ...

    9   5     2            ...

    When a new record is created the field RowDetNumber must be calculated with the logic of the max (RowDetNumber) + 1.

    So for the example above, the calculated value should be 3 + 1 = 4.

    I would like to know how I can calculate the value and assign to the RowDetNumber attribute.

    I did some experiments using a Groovy expression as a default value for the field, but I got only errors.

    I'm a bit confused on how I can do so a few details / examples / tips are welcome

    In particular, a small example for every possible approach would be happy.

    Thank you

    Federico

    Federico, the solution mentioned in the block will work as it only generates unique numbers without guarantee that the generated numbers are without flaw. However, if you want to use max + 1 this normally means you want to have a sequence without gap. It is very very complicated in nature. It doesn't matter what application you're trying, there is almost always room for error, ending with duplicate numbers.

    The trigger also works as the DB supports triggers on MS SQL.

    If you don't need a number of gap-less for the attribute, you can use the groovy solution and just get a number of a sequence is is guaranteed unique and greater value, like the last number that you asked of the sequence. In this way, you can have the sorted records

    ID RowDetNumber OtherFields FkId

    1  3    1            ...

    2  3    7            ...

    3  3    9            ...

    4  3    10            ...

    5  4    3            ...        |

    6  4    5            ...        | -VO selects these records (where FkId = 4 for example)

    7  4    12            ...        |

    8  5    4            ...

    9  5    6            ...

    How do they affect you a tax on a charge. For example load 2415.7 in your results is followed by tax 241.57. You have to reason about why it couldn't be 8.68.

  • Exit help request formatting

    Hi all

    I have problems trying to format the output of one of my questions. I'm new to SQL and I consider my writing the query to a GREAT victory... but I can't seem to get the correct output format.

    With the code below, she's the name (lname) in the employee, a county of what I want and the overall standings.  I want to concatenate the employee number (emp #) the first (fname) and name (lname) together in the same column in the output.

    Concatenation code would be something like below.

    Desired concatenation:

    EMP # | ' - ' || lname | ', ' || fname AS EMPLOYEE

    I'm using Oracle 11 g Express. Please let me know if you need any information to help you.

    I appreciate your help! Thank you.

    Query

    SELECT EMPLOYEE, PREPARED,

    Rank() over (ORDER BY DESC prepared) AS rank

    FROM (SELECT lname EMPLOYEE, COUNT (DISTINCT reportnum) PREPARED

    The EMPLOYEE

    LEFT OUTER JOIN faultreport using (empno)

    GROUP BY lname

    ORDER BY DESC prepared)

    WHERE rownum < 15;

    Hello

    Thus, you do not want to group by the concatenated employee, lname not only.  Here's a way to do it:

    WITH got_rnk AS

    (

    SELECT e.empno. ' - '

    || e.Lname

    || ', '

    || e.fname AS an employee

    COUNT (DISTINCT f.reportnum) AS prepared

    Rank () OVER (ORDER BY COUNT (DISTINCT f.reportnum) DESC)

    LIKE rnk

    E employee

    LEFT OUTER JOIN faultreport f ON f.empno = e.empno

    GROUP BY e.empno, e.lname, e.fname

    )

    SELECT *.

    OF got_rnk

    WHERE rnk<>

    ORDER BY rnk

    employee

    ;

    You only need the subquery if you want to limit output employees to the top 14 (or whatever the number).

    Analytic functions (for example, RANK) are calculated after the clause GROUP BY has been applied and aggregate (such as COUNT above) functions were calculated.  This is why you can use an aggregate function in an analytical clause (e.g. "RANK () OVER (ORDER BY COUNT...)"

    I want that when the data is displayed in a read-only table, it shows ordered by Count (count Maximum at the top) and minimum in the last.

    Whenever you have a problem, after a complete test script that people can run to recreate the problem and test their ideas.

    'ORDER OF COUNT (*)' works well for me:

    SELECT       COUNT (*)
    ,       job
    FROM       scott.emp
    GROUP BY  job
    ORDER BY  COUNT (*)     DESC
    ;

    Output:

    ` COUNT(*) JOB
    ---------- ---------
             4 CLERK
             4 SALESMAN
             3 MANAGER
             2 ANALYST
             1 PRESIDENT

    Usually, people give aliases (e.g. emp_cnt in the example below) for calculated columns. These aliases can be used in the ORDER BY clause, like this:

    SELECT       COUNT (*)     AS emp_cnt
    ,       job
    FROM       scott.emp
    GROUP BY  job
    ORDER BY  emp_cnt     DESC
    ;

    but that is not mandatory.

  • Add the total size of data store and space remaining

    Hi,

    What would be the easist way to add the total datastore size and remaining datastore size to the following.
    I do emphasise, esasiest, since I'm as green as can be to powercli, powershell for that matter. I'm trying to learn in babysteps

    Get - VM $VM | %{ $_. Name; ($_ | get-datastore | select name). Name}

    At the moment I get day like this, I get to the above.

    DataStoreName (Add info here on DS size?)

    vmname

    DataStoreName (Add info here on DS size?)

    vmname

    ...

    ...

    ...

    Thank you!!

    The $_ represents the object that has been passed through pipeline (the ' |') of the previous cmdlet.

    For example

    Get - VM | %{$_. Name}

    The cmdlet Get - VM will get all the VMs on the servers of vSphere to which you are connected.

    The pipeline ('|) ') said these VM objects one by one to the following code.

    In what is a Foreach-Object (alias is '%') who will send the name of the virtual machine (available in the variable $_) to the default output.

    On a Select-Object cmdlet, you can select properties of the object that was passed through the pipeline, or you can use what is called a "calculated property. Such a calculated property consists of a pair of hash, name (N) and Expression.

    Obviously, name is the name you want to give to this calculated property.

    Expression is the block of code that must be executed.

    For example

    Get-Datastore. Select Name,@{N="CapacityGB; E={$_. CapacityMB/1 KB}}

    All database objects are passed to the Select-Object cmdlet.

    The Select cmdlet displays the name of the data store, and it will display a property called CapcityGB, which displays the ability to store data in GB.

    Notice how the property CapacityMB that is present in the data store object is converted to GB by the code in the Expression block.

    The part of the Expression has not always need to do something with a property of the object that was passed.

    For example

    Get - VM | Select Name, @{N = 'Current time'; E = {Get-Date}}

    In this case the Select-Object cmdlet displays the Name property of the virtual computer object that has been sent.

    And it will display the current time as the propertyname "current time".

    This is an example of a calculated property that has nothing to with the object passed through the pipeline.

    I hope that clarifies the code a bit.

    A common reason is that there is something that you can calculate from the existing data, and you want to treat that calculated the value as if it were a column.

    An example of use of the table scott.emp. That you intend to give a 5% increase for employees in management positions (i.e., employees who have jobs 'MANAGER' or 'PRÉSIDENT'), and increase by 10% to employees in positions of work (i.e., all other jobs). Let's say, moreover, that for the 30 Department, we want only show management employees, and that the job class is required for sorting. In other words, we want these results:

    ENAME DEPTNO SAL JOB JOB_CLASS NEW_SAL
    ---------- ---------- ---------- --------- ---------- ----------
    MILLER             10       1300 CLERK     Labor            1430

    FORD               20       3000 ANALYST   Labor            3300
    ADAMS              20       1100 CLERK     Labor            1210
    KING               10       5000 PRESIDENT Management       5250

    JONES              20       2975 MANAGER   Management    3123.75
    BLAKE              30       2850 MANAGER   Management     2992.5

    Here's a way to do it:

    SELECT       ename, deptno, sal, job
    ,       job_class                    -- (1)
    ,       CASE
               WHEN  job_class = 'Management'     -- (2)
               THEN  1.05
               ELSE  1.10
           END * sal          AS new_sal
    FROM       (                       -- Begin in-line view got_job_class
               SELECT  ename, deptno, sal, job
               ,           CASE
                              WHEN  job IN ('MANAGER', 'PRESIDENT')
                     THEN  'Management'
                     ELSE     'Labor'
                          END      AS job_class
               FROM    scott.emp
           ) got_job_class          -- End in-line view got_job_class
    WHERE       deptno           != 30
    OR       job_class          = 'Management'     -- (3)
    ORDER BY  job_class                      -- (4)
    ,            deptno
    ;

    Note that job_class is used in 4 places in the main query:
    (1) in the SELECT clause
    (2) in the calculation of new_sal, also in the SELECT clause
    (3) in the WHERE clause
    (4) in the ORDER BY clause
    Without a subquery, how would you do that? Well, you can use the CASE expression that defines job_class 4 everywhere. You need to be very careful that you cut and paste exactly right. It will be ineffective because Oracle may have to do the same calculation again and again. If, next month, the business rules change (say, "Management" includes now another job), then you will need to make exact change even at 4 locations in the code. Who can be a maintenance nightmare.
    It's a game much more convenient and potentially more effective, to treat the Tahina-query result as if it were a table named got_job_class in this example. With a subquery, you can set job_class once, then use the query 4, or 44 times by hand.
    (Acutally, you can use aliases for columns in the ORDER BY clause, but that does not change my point).

    Sometimes, repeating a calculation is not even an option. For example, if the calculation involves an analytical function and you want to use in a WHERE clause, or you want to nest analytic functions. These are things that you must do in a separate query. You can define a view, but is not very practical, and it leads to a cluttered data dictionary.
