Excel to Pages equation/formula

Hello

In Excel, I make heavy use of the dollar sign so that when I copy a cell content of this cell will not change.

Example (in Excel)

$A2

When they are copied will retain the 'A' part, but the number will change

$A$ 2

reference a specific cell and will always reference this cell when copied and pasted anywhere.

How to do the same thing in the Pages?

I just found how.  Double-click the cell, and then select the small triangle to the right of the cell reference. A drop down menu will appear with the options to maintain a line or static column.  (See the illustration)

    Follow these steps:

    (1) add another instance of the COLUMN in question.

    2) click on the fx and enter this:

    Table of CASES WHEN. COLUMN LIKE 'ID:555555-%' THEN RIGHT (picture. COLUMN, the LENGTH (the table. (COLUMN) - POSITION ('-' IN the table.) COLUMN)) ELSE NULL END

    (3) add a filter on this new column "is not ZERO.

    You will have a report with just the rows where the value of COLUMN begins with ID:555555.

    Hello, I used an excel file that contains formulas which does not work on the numbers and I'm trying to find a way to make it work.

    some research I found a few messages earlier showing that

    ISNUMBER


    can be done with something like this

    and as I understand it, in my case, I could probably use PRODUCT instead of PRODUITMAT


    Another example, I found in old messages, so theoretically I have guessed that it would something like that

    = IF ((IFERROR (GOLD (ISEVEN (E1), ISODD (E1)), FALSE)) (ROUND (PRODUCT (E1, G1), 2)), ROUND (PRODUCT (E1 + F1, G1), 2),"" ")


    But it did not work. Advice will be useful

    I created a Budget sheet to spread and have different contributors who will be able to add information, BUT I don't want their change of layout page or formulas etc.

    How can this be achieved?

    Hi David,

    I would put in place a specific map and a table of the data entry of your employees. The budget table/sheet would take data from there, and you could block this table to discourage changes.

    In iOS, I would create a form. It would allow the data entry and access to the formula results but of formats and formulas cold not be displayed in the form.

  • "The file is not found" error message when you try to view recent items list for word and excel files

    Title files: original vista on the recent items list does not open

    When I select a file from my recent items list, I get an error message indicating that the file is not found, but it lists the correct path to the file, and if you go to this path of the file, the file is clearly there.  This happens with word and excel files but not the adobe pdf files.

  • Excel 2007 column Selection colors

    It's a bit complicated to explain, but here go us. I have excel 2007 and since we moved to this new version when I am selecting a column and then run the search function in this column of the cell that has the information I'm looking for is almost in the same color as the column of highloghted all that makes it VERY difficult to see. How can I change the color of the column selected to be darker so then white blood cells stand out? Hope that makes sense. Thank you

  • Add the signature to the model which will be signed in Adobe e-Sign excel

    I use the same Microsoft Excel form over and over again.  Once I have the excel form, I repeatedly put my signature and the signature of the tenant and the initials in the same places with e-sign each time.  Is it possible to automate where my signature and the signature of the tenant go without having to drag in the same spot every time?  I use excel, because I have formulas that I use.  I also get to transfer duplicate information, like their name to all forms once he entered the first form.  Thanks for your help.

    According to the scenario above, my recommendation would be to use tags to text which can be written in the spreadsheet itself and once download you, the form fields are automatically created. Here is the link to the help documentation:

  • Form user entered in the calculation scripts

    I was asked if it is possible to create a LiveCycle form where users can click into a field, add or subtract various amounts (they can apparently in Excel by entering a formula with the corresponding amounts, for example "= 2.54 41.87 + 14.62'"), then, in addition to seeing the total resulting, they also want to be able to see the items that have been added/subtracted that is to say the work! Is it even remotely possible in LiveCycle?

    OK, first let me say with irony that I kind of hate to ask this question... It ruined my brain any longer that it should have.

    I could get this to work with the main 4 operators (+, -, *, and /) in order. I have not tried to apply the order of operations because it would be worse still. (Should be recursive operations that I'm not really interested in trying to remove in LC right now).

    Here's the code for that work as well as some screenshots of what it looks like. If an operator is the first character, the event performs any operation on the existing subtotal, removes the operator and number, then loops back if it is more remains to be done.

    You might want to try both of these troubleshooting techniques: eliminate the corruption of minor exporting and replace your preferences

    For your white line problem, the answer is Yes, but not with how you have things to implement. Data fusion can remove empty lines, but you do not. So that it works you must move the P, C and F (with spaces) in the data file if the only thing on these lines is the field labels. You'd by adding more than three fields in Excel that use a formula to put the letters and spaces in front of numbers if the existing fields for this record are not empty, but leave the class new empty if there is no number. The three numbers must also be in the same block of text in the model of merger if you want the deletion of empty lines to shift the following upward.

    Another possibility is to use find/replace after the merger to remove lines without numbering. Search grep ^ \s*\r [PCF] and replace with nothing (leave it blank) ahould removes a line with only one of your letters and empty space. Again, you must put them all in a single framework to move upward.

  • Using quartiles in figures

    I'm trying to understand the first and third quartile among a long list of different values, using numbers. I already did once in Excel, but for some reason I can't get the same result in numbers. In Excel, my first quartile is 40%, but when I do it with the same exact values in numbers, I get 41%. When I try to find the third quartile, the result is 57% in Excel and 55% in number. I copied the list of values in Excel, so I do not know there is no error with the missing numbers or something like that. The list has 80 values in there, but that shouldn't really matter. Would be great if someone knew what happens with that!

    Ok.  Joking apart.  We cannot help if you do not provide the details (as data).  Paste a copy of the data (select data, copy, click in this forum, paste) and screenshots of the results in Excel.  After the formulas that you use in Excel and you use number.

  • Opening MS Office files

    I have several MS Office Excel and Word files in my iPad Mini Dropbox and Icloud.  I can open them if I'm in Excel or Word without problem.  However if I open either of the two clouds and touch one of the files, it opens into something and another not to Word or Excel - maybe Pages. Is there some setting somewhere that will result in .docx or .xlsx files open in the appropriate Office program? Under Windows, I remember well, this feature is called File Associations.

    iCloud will open the Pages by default if you have installed.  If you hold down on the document icon in iCloud drive a menu should appear. One of the options is "Share".  You can tap on it and then select Word as the application to use. This should be done whenever you want to open a Doc file in the iCloud drive App.

    Dropbox is opened directly doc files in its own Viewer. There is an option in the lower right corner of Dropbox to open in Word directly. The icon looks like a square with a pencil on it. Tapping on it will allow you to open it in the Word application.

    In addition, there is nothing that can be done to change the default application, with which they open.

    Hi all, I'm fine with excel, but have trouble extrapolating numbers for this and hoping that someone can help.

    Basically, for example, a spreadsheet to budget domestic.  I have a table of data where column A is the month of the entry, column B is the category, and column C is the $.  Something like:

    April 1 grocery store $100

    2 April gas $50

    grocery store $75 April 3

    May 4 utilities $50

    grocery store $90 may 5

    May 6 gas $40

    (imagine the above, but with several months of data).

    I want to create a summary table summarizing the totals by month and category

    April may

    Food products 1 175-$ 90

    2    Gas                $50             $40

    3 utilities $0 $ 50

    That means, in B1, the sum of $ is the $ total for all groceries in April entries in the table above ($100 + $75).

    My excel formulas do not seem to be transferred on the well, when I try to build it.  Any ideas?  What is quite a unique use of SUMPRODUCT in numbers or something else?

    The numbers do not support forms of 'matrix formula' of SUMPRODUCT.  Use rather SUMIFS (which also works well in Excel).

    The formula in B2, filled with worms the down and right, is:

    = SUMIFS(Data::$C,Data::$A,B$1,Data::$B,$a2)

    Be sure to type a "before names so that the numbers treated as text and you will get a match."  Otherwise, it will guess that you mean a date and time string (which will match this year, but not for the entries of entry next year).

    I can't understand how to count the number of 'Green' for example.
