  • 564 printer cartridges: unused printer cartridges

I changed my printer to another HP model that requires different print cartridges.  I have several 564 and 564XL printer cartridges which, although not used are not not in the original packaging (because it requires less storage space).  What can I do with these?  Is it possible to exchange them for the cartridges I use now (952 and 952XL)?

    Hello

It is not possible to exchange these cartridges.  It might be interesting to try to sell them on a site like ebay 2nd hand.

  • HP Photosmart Plus B210A black ink cartridge will not print

I have an HP B210A Photosmart printer. Windows 8 operating system.  Recently, I replaced all ink cartridges, Black XL.

Now the black does not print.  The printer recognizes the ink is there but not print during a test, as the other three colors.  I went back to store & exchanged the cartridge for me even if I had bought all four colors together.  Installed the new one and it still does not work.  Has gone through the process of the online help where they want me to buy an another print head, but that doesn't make sense to me.  The products are HP, ink # 564.

I wouldn't get rid of this product because of it.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Of course, out of warranty.

    Hi PaulieG,

I understand that you have a Photosmart B210a printer that is printing is no longer black. I'm sorry to hear you had to deal with this, but I will certainly do my best to help you with this problem.

I recommend you all first that you have a look at this print quality paper to ensure that no steps have been omitted in this document. You can also try the steps outlined in this document 'Print head problem' or "Print head seems to be missing or corrupt" Message appears on the computer to clean your print head manually. Then, in a last effort, if these steps do not help, you can also try a suggestion from Bob_Headrick to soak your printhead.

Hope this helps, have a nice day!

  • Third-friends ink cartridges.

I'm not sure that there are no substantive benefit by using third-party ink over OEM cartridges.  On 13 August who? report describes a number of "variables" which makes a firm decision either way a little tricky.  Is there a consensus in the community at a glance, please?

    Thanks and regards,

    J.M..

I have been re-using cartridges of toner and ink since the 1980s. And most of the time, there are 2 factors that come into play.

1 how many times the cartridge has been refilled.
(more than 3 or 4 and you tend to have bad results).
    2. and if your not do yourself what type of warranty is provided.
In general if your local using spare shop they should offer a simple "Exchange" for cartridges that don't work anymore.
I hold locally in a case like this because you don't want to have to wait to send and retrieve a replacement by mail.
Ask a few offices around your city and I'm sure they have a place ' go to ' to get these.
As for the Mfg by saying that they do not work, keep in mind that they take advantage of their company for the sale of ink in this case.
See all that drop them places they recommend "recycling" of your old cartridges? They end up doing the same thing. Clean, fill, sell.

Our salvation HP photosmart printer is dead and we need to buy a replacement.  As we just bought a large number of inks, HP 364, we would like to buy a printer that can use these inks.  Advice please!  Thank you.

What follows is compatible with the HP 364 (in a region that uses the 364).  Most of these printers have been interrupted, the newer models are at the top of the list.  If you have news, open, not expired HP cartridges may provide Exchange on cartridges a different model.
