  I connected my HP Pavilion g7 on my big screen tv Vizio.

  There are two problems here.  Not to be confused with the preview and display during capture:

  1. some of us had a problem previewing CS5.5, when it wasn't a problem with CS5.  It's when we have to see the material on the screen of the device.  There is an active thread in which Jeff Belume has a solution.

  2 Firewire HDV look one in the capture was not possible since CS4.  It may be possible by using 3rd party capture cards, such as Blackmagic intensity, but I have not tried.

  OK, I think I finally figured it by changing power options, and I think that the way you reset the battery also helped.

  Here are the parameters:

  reserve battery level (this is when the popup will appear).

  10%

  low battery (this is when the low battery action will be performed).

  8%

  critical battery level (my computer would die at this point.)

  7%

  low battery action: sleep, sleep (this customize to your liking).

  battery low notification: on (hold on).

  critical battery action: sleep, sleep (my computer died already in criticism.)
