  Right click on my computer > new > new... > select Global Variable.

  EDIT: although I agree with Gerd (he probably wondering why you need so we can recommend a better way ), I rarely use them in easy to write once - read many applications such as security levels overall program at initialization (VER) to read later, but NOT modified.  I know it would be better to make a good class, functional Global Variable (FGV) or a motor Action (AE) but globals ARE practical and safe IF used wisely.

• Problem with Build Spec in the Project Explorer

  When I right click on the specifications of construction within the Project Explorer I don't get the option "install".  Also, if I select one of the option present "Source Distribuiton" I am unable to select all source files - even if I have source files in my Project Explorer.  The file Source "project files" box has a dimmed icon from my computer but no sign "+".

• Police in the Project Explorer problem

  I'm under LabVIEW 2013 SP1 and I just installed DAQmx 9.8. After installation, it seems that something has changed with my fonts throughout LabVIEW. Fonts keep intersect or cropped. This applies to everything from the start screen, in the Project Explorer to some of my VI font sizes. I went and checked my settings 'System of the police' and 'Application' but does not seem to solve the problem. See the attached picture

  I have a big project of the AF with a lot of classes and libraries. I only really use these two (lvclass and lvlib) to structure and organize the project. Right click on VI sometimes takes a terribly long time to load, say up to 10 seconds, depending on the library/class. It appears to be vaguely related to how many things the owners have libraries/classes. What exactly is causing this loading time? Any ideas how I could get rid of this significant disadvantage?

  Here is more information and a few thoughts:

  • Windows 8.1
  • LabVIEW 2015 / 32 bit (I can't say for sure, but I think that I had no such problem on earlier versions 2014 and 2013)
  • Mass of compilation of all of the project (taken as 2 hours) had no effect

  Thanks for all the ideas and resources. I'm very, very happy to announce that this particular fix https://decibel.ni.com/content/docs/DOC-44159 (fix for the issue of AF project provider performance) made my problem disappear. Time has been reduced from ~ 7 sec less than a half second. Wonderful! That, to me, proves false the idea that the mere fact of having hundreds of classes or a large AF would make your current IDE experience terrible.

  I made a mistake and chose the wrong controller cRIO. Now I find I have different controller, but my whole project is built with all the modules and the screws. Is there a way to simply edit the current to the right controller!

  You can add a new controller to your project and then only move the elements of the evil to the correct controller controller.

  I think I have a strange question. I have the evaluation version of Labview 2010. I am trying to add my cRIO 9004 to a project. I'm just trying to follow the instructions in the getting started with manual cRIO. It is said, add crio to the project by project root right clicking and selecting NEW > ADD TARGETS AND DEVICES. The problem is I can't see the link to the NEW, but once I click that I see not a link under "add new target or device" appear, instead, I see the dialog box to open a NEW FILE LABVIEW appear. everywhere in distress forum/basic knowledge/support of shooting and get started articles have mentioned project root right click > select NEW > select Add a target or peripheral >, as if she IS supposed TO APPEAR STANDARD in all new projects! But I'm not! I do not understand what Miss me. The version of software that I have are below:

  If you are facing due to timeout error even after changing the settings of netdalay County and netretry. Try to change the registry settings of Windows server for TCP/IP setting, where you add some DWORDS.

  Hope the following information helps you.

  The following changes to the registry:

  1. open the registry (regedit)

  2. go to the Local Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters

  3. Add the new DWORD value named TcpTimedWaitDelay, right-click, and select Edit.

  Select the decimal option, type 30. (The default value of this setting is 2 minutes. That's how long it will take for a used by the network for a connection to be released and restored TCP/IP port. 30 sec is the minimum allowed by Microsoft)

  4. Add the new DWORD value called MaxUserPort, right-click, and select Edit.

  Select the decimal option, type 65534. (The default value is 5000. This determines the highest port number TCP can assign when an application requests an available user port to the system).

  5. Add the new DWORD value named MaxFreeTcbs, right-click, and select Edit.

  Select the decimal option, type 6250. (The default value is 2000. This determines the number of blocks to control TCP (TCB), the system creates to support active connections. Insofar as each connection requires a control block, this value determines how many connections active TCP can be supported simultaneously. If all the control blocks are used and the connection requests more arrive, TCP can prematurely release the connections in the TIME_WAIT state to free a block of control to a new connection.)

• Error in the project

  Hi forum,

  I have a problem with Wi - Fi and basically my project is no more work. I build my application with a vi front where I selcect the input channels, this works very well.

  But as soon I open the entire project with the front vi I can't select more than any channel / scale task or costume and the vi is no longer running, that soon I press the stop button the application ends with the attached error message.

  I tried to creat a new vi then create a project of the vi and the same problem.

  As Stephan said, you must create the table with the ID. Also, I wanted to just mention that I did face some questions, creation or update of some tables because of fwadmin ACL.
