Explorer Windows has encountered the retrieve it please

When I log on the pc the error message is displayed and the desktop icons are not shown and I can't create a shortcut in the office and then the pc is meeting place

Hello

1. What is the brand and model of the computer?

2. What is the size of the RAM?

Method 1:

Click Start, type ""Task Manager " and on the file menu, go to the new task and type Explorer.exe and press OK, and then restart the computer."

Method 2:

I suggest to do a SFC (System File Checker) scan on the system and check if the problem is resolved. Follow the steps mentioned in the article below.

Description of Windows XP and Windows Server 2003 System File Checker (Sfc.exe)

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/310747

Method 3:

Put the computer in a State of boot is a way to know which application is causing this problem.

To help resolve the error and other messages, you can start Windows by using a minimal set of drivers and startup programs. This type of boot is known as a "clean boot". A clean boot helps eliminate software conflicts.

Put your boot system helps determine if third-party applications or startup items are causing the problem. If so, you need to maybe contact the manufacturer of the program for updates or uninstall and reinstall the program.

Step 1: Follow the steps in the link below to do the same thing:

How to configure Windows XP to start in a "clean boot" State

Note: After troubleshooting, be sure to set the computer to start as usual as shown here:

Step 2: To configure Windows to use a Normal startup state

After you have used the boot is a way to solve your problem, you can follow these steps to configure Windows XP to start normally.

a. Click Start and then click Run.

b. type msconfig and click OK. The System Configuration Utility dialog box appears.

c. click on the general tab, click Normal Startup - load all services and device drivers and then click OK.

d. When you are prompted, click on restart to restart the computer.

Method 4:

I suggest you follow the steps mentioned in the article below.

"Explorer has encountered an error and needs to close" Error Message When you start Windows XP

http://support.Microsoft.com/kb/822797

Note: Important this section, method, or task contains steps that tell you how to modify the registry. However, serious problems can occur if you modify the registry incorrectly. Therefore, make sure that you proceed with caution. For added protection, back up the registry before you edit it. Then you can restore the registry if a problem occurs. "Hello people, it seems that some guys out there are still having trouble with this random crashes. I have the same problem, except that it happens every time that I go to my media files on my NAS. It seems that there is a bug or something with windows that causes this problem when you access a folder to storage media like mine, especially when the size of the file is very large (archive all my discs of film there for convenience and continuous =), about 1 TB of data). Windows capable of generating thumbnail images for your files and blocks the Explorer as well.

I solved this by going to my computer > click the "Organize" (upper-left) > folder and search options > view tab check "Show icons, never thumbnails" option and uncheck the "display file on the photos." Original title: I have Windows Vista home basic. Whenever I try to connect to the internet I get the error "Windows has encountered a critical problem and will restart automatically in a minute. Please save your work now' and the computer restarts

This started happening a few days ago. I tried to run the software anti-virus and 3 different registry cleaners and nothing helped. I use a mobile internet USB and when I tried to run safe mode with networking of the device was not recognized.

Does anyone have an idea on how I can fix this?

This is the Win32/Trojan.Shutdowner virus and rootkit causes this error. I think that it is the solution: download and burn the ISO image of kav rescue ofhttp://rescuedisk.kaspersky-labs.com/rescuedisk/updatable/kav_rescue_10.isoon CD. Make a start of full system scan from the disc that you created. Remove infections all found, including this stupid annoying rootkit, and you're done! At least it worked for me!

  • Windows has encountered a critical problem and will restart automatically in a minute. Please save your work now.

Hello world. Since I installed Windows 7 Home Premium, I had problems with an error message displayed when I start my computer. The error message said, as in the title, "Windows has encountered a critical problem and will restart automatically in a minute. Please save your work now. ». After a minute, the computer is forced to restart, it closed suddenly, without any message "Shutdown of Windows". The problem occurs very often, I want to say that it appears whenever I start my computer. I don't know what to do, it's really annoying.

  • Satellite L305D-S5892 - Windows has encountered a problem

    Hello

    I have an I have a Toshiba-L305D-S5892
    With Vista Home Prem 32

I have a few problems and am currently blocked.

Each problem below, is a problem that I met after taking a few steps.

    * The 1st problem *.

A few hours ago my screen was frozen just after I tried to install this codec from microsoft, so the only option I had was to do a hard reset.
When my computer back on, I received this message:

Windows has encountered a problem communicating with a device connected to your computer.

This error may be cause of disconnect a device removable storage such as an usb external drive while the appliance is in use or by defective as a hard disk hardware or the CD-ROM drive which is a failure. Make sure that all removable storage is properly connected, and then restart your computer.

If you continue to receive this error message, contact the manufacturer of the equipment.

    File: \Windows\system32\winload.exe

    Status: 0xc00000e9

Info: An unexpected I / 0 error has occurred.

I didn't have any usb device or removable in media.
I can only access my utility series at the beginning, which is this menu: hand-Advanced-display-security-Boot - out

    * 2nd problem *.

I opened my laptop and released the CD / DVD + RW, he started upward and now I get this message:

    For Realtek RTL8101E/8102E PCI - E Ethernet Controller v1.07

PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable.

PXE - M0F: Exit PXE ROM.

No boot device - insert boot disk and press any key

    * 3rd problem *.

I downloaded the NEOSMART repair Cd.

Once I'm in the System Recovery Options, it tells me to select an operating system. However it has not traded. If I press drivers to load, then a message tells me to insert the media, and then select drivers. I almost 'ok', and then am taken to explore, when there are a few system files and files (all empty)?

    I'm confused... any help?

    Hello

For me, it looks like a problem with the system eventually installed the HDD failures.
    Why?

Due to the issue described in point 2.
PXE - E61: Media test failure, check cable error is displayed because the phone didn t find the installed operating system and try to boot from LAN.
This happens especially if the HARD drive was not recognized by the BIOS.

    My recommendation;
Access the BIOS and check if the HARD drive is listed there.
If this isn't the case, then you will need to replace the HARD drive and reinstall the operating system.

If the HARD drive is listed in the BIOS, then take a recovery disk and try to reinstall the OS again.
If you have no recovery disc, then you can order it here.

Applications, (Norton and McAfee) are notorious for not not upgrade (or uninstalling) itself. (No, Symantec Support never say this.) See if the following solves your problems:

    1. download the Norton Removal Tool, save it to your desktop: ftp://ftp.symantec.com/public/english_us_canada/removal_tools/Norton_Removal_Tool.exe

    2. close all open applications (that is, anything with an icon on the taskbar).

    3. After completing some you have a copy of your handy product key, uninstall all Norton software (including LiveUpdate and everything Norton Add ons) via Control Panel | Programs | Uninstall a program (or Control Panel |) Programs and features, if you are using the classic view).

4 IMPORTANT! -Online activate Windows Firewall immediately after the restart.

NB: Now you're "working without a net": no to ANYTHING else online (e.g., navigation, reading e-mail, chat) until you have completed step #7 below!

    5. right click on the file that you saved in step #1 above, and then select run as administrator.  DO TAP not your keyboard until the race ends, then restart.

    6. do a clean install of the 2010 version of your Norton application, using your product ID & reboot: http://www.symantec.com/norton/support/kb/web_view.jsp?wv_type=public_web&docurl=20080514162318EN

TIP: Do not activate or install additional modules of Norton (for example, Norton Anti-Phishing) immediately.

    7. manually and repeatedly run LiveUpdate until you get a prompt "no update more".

    8 test cycle.

NB: Your Norton application can disable Windows Defender by default.
