• Question of drainage for the 9.2 battery fast IOS

  Since the upgrade to iOS 9.2, my battery has warm fonctionnee and quick drainage.

  It seems a percentage point of emptying every 30 seconds.  I went to the Apple Store and claimed that they have not heard of a problem of 9.2 battery again.  When I was in the store it was at 99% and is down to 62% in 10 minutes - no applications running in the background.  The Director did a diagnosis wireless on my phone and told me that a few applications I had was using battery but nothing substantial.  She mentioned the opersting system Bluetooth app was crashing constantly and it might be the culprit.  Director told me they could replace my phone, but if I did a restore on my current phone, the problem continues because she thought it was a software problem rather than a hardware problem.  I am still having the issue and still waiting for Apple to fix this.  It is clearly a problem with 9.2 as other people began to show the same types of problems.  The phone is also considerably warm to the touch.  I've never had a battery issue before the upgrade and have never had a problem using location services either.

  After reading several other positions for possible corrections.  I did the following and I DON'T encounter the fast draining of the battery more, so problem seems to be solved.  Of course, this isn't an ideal solution, it seems to have solved the problem:

  1. make a backup encrypted in iTunes the phone.  NOTE: If you make one save all your health data (IE: given Apple Watch, exercise, heart rate, etc.), and the passwords are kept.  If you do not check encrypted when you perform a backup, then all of this information is lost.  You'll have to passwords for the tenant in the world (IE: email, apple ID, safari, etc.)

  2 disable find them my iPhone on your phone: settings, iCloud, find my iPhone

  3 Errase all content and settings on your phone: settings, general, reset, erase all content and settings

  4. Once your phone restarts as a new iPhone, by following the steps on your phone by connecting to a wireless network, enter your apple ID and word password, then select restore backup of iTunes.

  5. connect your phone to your computer and start iTunes or it starts automatically when your phone is connected.

  6. in iTunes, select restore backup (your last one must be selected).  If you are prompted, enter the password entered when the encrypted backup.

  7. After some time, depending on the amount of content must be restored, you should have a duplicate of your original phone back.  You will need to enter your Apple ID, reset fingerprints Touch ID and Apple pay credit cards.  Will download all your applications in the background, which, for me, will take some time, as I have less than 1 MB/s out of the country.  All your applications and files would be kept in the restoration.

  As I said, this isn't an ideal solution, but it seems to work for me.  It will take some time to restore all my apps, but as my internet connection and mobile connection is SLOW...

  Good guys, here's my problem.  I have a mac with Photoshop elements.  I design t-shirts for my local gym.  They just sign a contract with a small MOM and pop screen hosting. As a result, they have all saved as an Illustrator EPS, version 10 file or several.  She couldn't use my photoshop eps files.

  She is my questions.

  1. If I buy a 'new' Illustrator 10 from Amazon it will install on my mac 10.5 version or my computer is too new for this program?

  2. If it settles, can I open the PSD in Photoshop elements files in illustrator 10 and save as illustrator EPS files?

  I don't know anything about Illustrator, but I'll dive in as soon as I get it.  I really just need to open the PSD and convert it using Illustrator 10.  They need the vector files.  I just need these questions answered before you buy the program.  Thank you

  If you're talking about the design of T-Shirts involving multiple colors, you really should be using a program (whether raster or vector) able to print color separations. You can do with what you use, but you will need to work in black and white only.

  Basic questions to ask at the shop of the screen:

  • What do you use for your "film positive" with which you expose your screens? (Ex: impressions laser on vellum translucent or clear acetate; litho real films shot on a device of original thought... process)
  • Can you maintain screens tint or halftone; or are you limited to the art of the line?
  • If you can print the tintscreens or the halftone, what is the ruling of maximum line you can hold?

  Why? Assuming that they are printing their originals, they should be able to print from a PDF of the color separation.

  EPS is encapsulated PostScript. It must be a PostScript to EPS printer print correctly. PDF can be printed both PostScript and non-PostScript devices, frequent at MOM & filter anti-pop stores.

  You can open an EPS with Illustrator file (pretty well regardless of what program exported EPS). But that doesn't automatically make the needs of the shop of the screen. Forget the EPS. It is the nature of the content that matters.

  EPS is a metadata format. Think it's just a "warpper" or a "black box" that can hold different types of data objects which are understood by a PostScript device.

  For example: assume that your work is an RGB of halftone image you built in Photoshop and then exported in EPS file. Open the EPS in Illustrator and then give to the shop of the screen is not accomplish anything. After opening in Illustrator, you then just a native Illustrator file that contains a RGB raster image.   Big misconceptions:

  • Simply open a file (regardless of format) in Illustrator is not magically that he "vector".
  • Being fully vector is not magically, ensure that it the limitations of repro of MOM & filter anti-pop stores.
  • Most of the MOM & pop screenshots are not really limited to work with vector illustrations; they just think they are.

  Screen mom & pop stores very often say 'We need vector illustrations' when in fact what they really mean is "We need line art."

They are going to take a copy of this solid black image, printed on a transparent or translucent medium at least and it can block light that will expose a screen.   Line drawing means "without tone." In other words, nothing which prints as a screen of dots as a screen tint or a semitone. In other words, no detail too small to be taken in charge by the mesh of the physical screen.

  Line drawing can be created with both raster and vector programs. You can 'paint' a raster image that will print as art of the black solid line in Photoshop just as easily as you can 'draw' traced that will print as black line art continues in Illustrator.

  No matter whether you are creating the linework in Photoshop or Illustrator (or more any other mainstream graphics program), you can save it as a PDF ready to print. This PDF can be opened and printed by the shop of MOM & pop screen using nothing more than the free software Adobe Reader.

  But the content of this PDF (e.g.: the art of the black line continues; a page by ink) is up to you to create properly. This requires only to understand the fundamentals of color separation and the creation of your work accordingly.

• Conversion of SSD drive for the reader to boot on m7 with Win8

  I just bought a new m7-j020dx (product code E4S19UA #ABA) with Windows 8 from Best Buy.  Unfortunately, it came with a standard hard disc (HDD), and I would like to install a Solid State Drive (SSD).  I have an Intel 320 and 530 series-reader.  But I was not able to get a bootable from that disc.

  The first thing I tried was cloning the drive to plant on a new disk of 530 series using AOMEI Backupper.  I got an error writing on the partition of the third.  I thought that maybe the drive was bad, so I tried again with an Intel 320 series SSD drive.  Same mistake.

  The next attempt was to clone the disk to another disk of 1 TB (connected via USB), reduce the main partition with MiniTool and clone of the 320 series SSD.  The cloning went well.  However, with the new installed SSD, the computer will not start, and I get "Error0x0000225", something about a file not found.  Disable "secure starting" in the BIOS setup has not helped (I did after the clone).

  So I thought I would do a clean install of win 8.  I generated a recovery on a 32 GB USB SanDisk player disc using Win8 recovery disk generator (as indicated on the site of HP).  I then ran the program of recovery out of the USB drive and after a few hours of software installation driver and several reboots, I get a message from HP, indicating that the installation was not complete.  Reinstall did not help.

  I don't know what the problem is.

  What the recovery disk USB one made from the original bad HARD drive (we get only a single shot at it)?  Do I need media of the order of HP on disks?  Are there problems with the use of SSDS on those computers?  Should I not a BIOS settig correctly (UEFI)?  Is there some Intel storage drivers clutter it?

  I think my next step will be to create a disc Image and place it on the SSD drive.  But I doubt that this solves the problem with the start to it.

  Another option might be to build fresh using Win8 media, then download and install each driver from the HP website.

  Any ideas out there in the land of the experts?

  I tried this with 320 (160 GB) series and SSD 530 series (120 GB and 240 GB).  Actually, I have not tried on the 240GB again, just two other. . The 240 GB SSD is the best candidate. During cloning, using a larger SSD is the best for worms down the road when other programs are installed.

  So far, I've done everything suggested this that caramel:

  -Updated the BIOS for later: F.43. 03/01/2014 (HP support site).

  -Installed Intel Rapid Storage Technology v. 12.9.0.1001 (taken from the Intel site).

  -Updated the firmware of the 530 series 120 GB using Intel SSD Toolbox v2.0.10 of 06/20/2013 (from Intel).

  -The series 160 GB 320 firmware was up to date.

  -Installed the Data Migration Software Intel v. 2.0, dated 29/04/2013 (taken from the Intel site).

  -Updated environmental Support UEFI v5.3.3.0 dated 26/09/2013 (on the HP support site)

  -Enabled secure boot.

  Even using Data Migration tool Intel did not work.  Before Support UEFI environment, data migration tool would go to the step to reset but does not start what whether manually or to another.  Support UEFI environment, the software says simply "Operation failed." Following the manual data migration softwarecan be a bit tricky. There are a few things about the bootind of the Acronis loader * which must be carefully designed for the operation to succeed.  Intel also has a forum which can help as well.

  
  

  When I hit F10 and in the Configuration of the system, the Intel RST is not available.  So I suspect there is something not right here. The suggestion of updating the BIOS of caramel didn't across before it was made. It was not necessary and therefore not a good plan. I suggest that you use the Diagnostics UEFI and rollback to the previous BIOS. If you need advice with those just let me know. I have a few images that should show you what you should see. 

  A number of things, I noticed I did upgrades:

  -The site of HP support for my computer has Intel Rapid Storage Technology 12.0.7.1002 v, dated 30/06/2013 is earlier than on the Intel site.  Maybe I should roll back. That must be rolled back to the version shipped by HP. I see you introduced makes as stated in a previous post.

  -The HP support site has two distinct "RST", storage technology products a quick and a quick start technology.

  Intel has "RST" next to their rapid storage technology, so I might be confused.  I have installed the driver of the technology of quick start on the HP support site so if it is not already on the computer, perhaps it is not running and is the "RST" which is the missing piece.  In fact, same caramel said I need fast boot technology driver and then linked to download Rapid Storage Technology driver. Do not pay attention to what it says caramel.

  Here are two of the same?  Support site of HP with two drivers and version numbers, I suspect not.   Any ideas would be useful.  They are indeed different.

  The Intel Rapid Storage Technology softpaq sp61600.exe driver provides NCQ (native command qeueing) features for the SATA controller.

  The Intel Rapid storage Technology driver softpaq sp61325.exe is supposed to improve the SSD or mSATA consumption of hibernation and also imrove the resume from hibernation.

  You can't even consider installing either softpaq to clone the drive. It is always better to keep things simple.

  The SATA cable USB you use has two connectors usb at one end?  It is necessary to provide enough power for the SSD for data migration is not. Connect each usb connector to a different usb port.

• Question of replacement for the hard drive MacBook Pro Late 2008

  Hello

  My MBP HD headed to the exit so I'll take the plunge and get a replacement SSD to install it.  Being not too tech savvie I'm trying to cover all the bases before starting the replacement so I think I'm OK to get to the old and a new one outside.

  I read that a clean install of Mac OS X is recommended.  The plan is to install the new SSD and connect the old HD the MBP for a speaker for the migration of files once the SSD has been formatted and installed operating system.  One of my questions is what OS can / should I install in the first place on the new SSD.  I have the Leopard installation disc that came with the MBP, I also have a Snow Leopard install disc I bought (this is the version 10.6.3).  Start with the Snow Leopard disc or do I have to install Leopard first?  I would get the new OS SSD up to version I'm currently on (10.7.5).

  My other question is around RAM.  As part of the upgrade, I plan to replace and max of RAM, I've seen is now 8 GB between the two slots.  I read what the maximum capacity to 8 as part of an update of the firmware.  So the question is: should I do all updates of OS before installing the RAM?  The MBP would difficult treat 8GB if the firmware update is not installed through the different software updates that will be needed once the OS is installed on the SSD?

  Replace the RAM can be done at any time. If you have already downloaded the firmware required, it has already updated your material and will not be lost when you replace the hard drive. However, according to Apple, your computer can manage only a 4 GB. I could be missing something...

  As far as your OS issue, the best thing to do is get the updated software to match the information that you are migrating back (to make sure no problem with migration). The best way to do it, is to download recovery disk wizard and install it on an extra USB key. This allows you to install Lion without having to install Leopard or Snow Leopard first. This will also use disk utility to format the new SSD correctly.

• How to export a master file? For the colorist?

  For archival purposes I want to export the change without any compression, even if it's huge. Is this possible? It was possible when using Final Cut Pro X, but I can't understand it on first. I don't know if I just just as high as possible on the export increase, or what I'm doing. For example if I want to export a master file, not for reading online, but for the color of ranking to the future of the software, or if I sent it to a colorist that does not speed category. What is the process?

  In a professional workflow, it's the colorist that specifies exactly what format they expect, and if it should be a given timeline, or a PCA with sources. If your timeline has cross-dissolves, then you must deliver an EDL and sequences with handles, otherwise they will receive only the grade to the Cup and it will be impossible to apply for the transition.

• Question about classes for the workshop held for OCP

  Im working on my OCP to complete in a few months. Quick question on the workshop class. Is there a test at the end of the week?
  Also how most people pay for these classes? They are quite steep and my company does not pay for this kind of thing for me. IM paying totally of my own pocket. Also why is the class in line of the same amount as the lead instructor class? His im not like in a room at some construction that Oracle has rent to use or something.

Actually, in the past, some groups have asked for reviews delivered the last day of the formation of a class given internal by Oracle to their installation and the results have been disastrous. • A hope for the e-mail in El Capitan issues?

  Hi - I've upgraded to El Capitan of Mavericks (big BONE btw and wish I could still use it) and nothing went right ever since, especially with mail.

  At least 98% of the time I can't answer emails (using the Gmail server) in the mail. I hit 'reply' and get a new window and a frozen program. I went to mail to force to quit and restart, after what I see pieces box of each thread. After reboot, I can not always respond well, the situation becomes an exercise of "Groundhog Day" - not pleasant and professional.

  This has been an ongoing problem for me since January 7, and no discussion with several Apple Care helped senior advisers. I keep saying they "work on it" and, as I found out, I'm not the only person to have that kind of question.

  While I realize that problems with the utility software is not sexy - as if we were trying to defeat the FBI stupid in a discussion of national security - I think that Apple has forgotten its roots, its core fan base.

  We buy phones, tablets, and Apple computers because the material is magnificent and we have always wanted that software is easy to use - and rarely failed. This has changed in recent years, and not for the better. Yes, the material is always beautiful and functional, but the supplied software is anything but. If there is a better platform to use on these elegant machines I would, thanks to inefficiency cited here and the inability - reluctance? d ' Apple to make it right.

  Where do we go from here? Anyone got any kind of a solution so that I can work on that machine again?

• No difficulty for the read head / issue scrubber with El Capitan?

  Hi, I have change all the way to Mountain Lion of El Capitan due no update with first (CS6) on the iMac and recently upgraded to update / support for OS, Chrome, etc., go ahead. After update, I encountered the problem of the read head I've seen others face - after washing of gases, and release the mouse, the playback cursor reflects the movements that you have just made.

  I'm just curious, from April 2016, if there is still no workaround or fix for this. I upgraded to El Capitan 10.11.4. Unfortunately I can't go back to Yosemite (as far as I can tell) as I ever had on my system - this has been offered as a solution.

• Simple question about synonyms for the keyword

  I've never used synonyms of the keyword until tonight, and LR4 help isn't much help. It shows you how to add a synonym, but it doesn't tell you how to use a synonym.

  I have a keyword called "railway bridges". I have change the key word to include the synonym RRBridge and then save the new definition of the keyword.

  Then, I expected to be able to enter the synonym RRBridge in the keywords Panel and recognized him and assign the keyword "Railway bridges" in this photo.

  Did not work. Nuh - uh. Created a new RRBridge, distinct and different keyword from the keyword "railway bridges". That is not what I wanted, and is not what I expected.

  So, exactly how do you use synonyms for the keyword?

  They are not really for entering data, as you found, but are applied to the image when you export - see you in the view Will Export in the keywords Panel. They are also available via smart collections and searchable text of the Group Filter tab.

• External RAID 0 drive for the reader to "work"?

  Does anyone have an experience on the use of an external drive of Raid0 for the directory of files work with LR3 + and Windows 7 64?  Raw files are mainly of a Canon 5 d 2, which makes them more 20Meg after conversion to DNG.

  My workflow means that files are moved to other readers in a week or two and will be saved since the external RAID every day as well but is not on the backup, but rather a quick and flexible system that allows me to easily work with files on several computers.

  Any ideas or experiences to be more welcome. Thank you.

  Just as an update where everyone wonders how external eSATA andRAID 0 works with LR and W7 64 bit, the answer is in fact very well.

• Questions of parameters for the added control - project version

  My fellow designer and FINALLY got version control/robosource 3.1 put in place on our Robohelp project. What a difference! Now, I have a few questions about the settings. We all have two connection to the Robohelp file shared on a server database. We would now have our a copy of the project on our local machines or not we keep a case on a shared server/player? I ask because our version control is originally Robohelp at startup and perform updates very, very slowly (20 minutes to start).

  I also, parameters marked to allow a user to check out a file at the same time (we are unwilling do a lot of fusion, as there's only two of us working on over 1,000 topics). When I try and import or create a new file, I get an error that the "* / root.fpj ' is in use and cannot have multiple extractions. What can I do about it?
