• How to make the Extension Panel Compateble with first Pro CC

Hi all

We use to make our Extension for first pro CS6 Flash builder 4.6 applications and Extension builder 2.0 Panel and they work very well.

Now we must extend this facility for first pro app CC, we tested these Panel previously in first CC pro about a month ago and it worked very well in the CC of Premiere pro. But now, we have tried to install our extension (.zxp) on different machines which is having the last first Pro CC inside, the Panel shows that one in the CC Adobe Extension Manager installed, but in the Extension menu, we are not able to see our panel.

Can someone help us with what can be the problem?

We downloaded Extension builder 2.1 test also but it only an exe file and installed in my machine which did not make any difference.

Is it possible to do a Panel extension that will work well in first Pro CC using the Flash builder 4.6 and Extension builder 2.0 or should change us our development environment?

Please suggest.

Hello

You may need to adjust you the host Version entry in the:

Version of the host = "[6.0,7.9]".

This will ensure that this Panel charge you in all 6.X and 7.X versions first. You can also have the following entry:

Version of the host = "6.0".

which means that the Group of experts will be responsible in all versions of creation from 6.0

I also recommend the suggestion of Hallgrímur use EB 2.1 to ensure that you sign your extension correctly as part of the export process.

If it works in Mode safe mode and normal mode with all extensions (Firefox/tools > Modules > Extensions) off and then try to find which extension is the cause by allowing an extension at a time until the problem reappears.

Close and restart Firefox after each change via "Firefox > Exit ' (Windows: Firefox/file > quit;) Mac: Firefox > quit Firefox. Linux: Firefox/file > exit)

• Installation of extensions .zxp script pour CC and CS

Hello

We have in our computer equipment, configurations MacOS containing both of the CC2014 (pour InDesign) and CS6 (pour Photoshop and Illustrator).

The installer we need fairly regularly and update of extensions .zxp on these posts.

Pour CELA, we install the extension a first time with Adobe Extension Manager CC2014 pour InDesign, then a second time with AEM CS6 pour Photoshop and Illustrator.

This type of configuration for more than 200 posts and it becomes quite solo to install manually.

I would like to know if it was possible to deploy these extensions remotely by creating a script for example.

The but is of course to be able to install on the same machine, the same extension on both CC and CS versions.

We mainly use the MacOS 10.10 and 10.11.

For deployment, we currently use Apple Remote Desktop.

Thank you in advance pour your help.

OK, I found:

Pour the CS6:

"' / Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CS6/Adobe Extension Manager CS6.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Extension Manager CS6" - remove - install zxp="/Path.To.Extension/Extension.zxp" "

Pour the CC:

"/ Applications/Adobe Extension Manager CC/Adobe Extension Manager CC.app/Contents/MacOS/ExManCmd '-install ' / Path.To.Extension/Extension.zxp '.

The ticket can be closed.

Thank you.

• How to properly pack my CC 2015 CEP extension?

I recently Dove head first in the development of Adobe CC extensions to create a Premiere Pro plugin for the company I work for. The extension works fine when I install it manually (i.e. when I drag the folder with all the files in/Library/Application Support / Adobe / CEP / extensions /), but I'm having a lot of trouble finding how actually to package the extension so that it could be distributed on Adobe Exchange and automatically installed.

The most recent cookbook CEP does not seem to mention the real process packaging (unless I'm missing something) and other information that I found on the web is either outdated or not dumbed-down enough for my noobishness. I think that most of my confusion comes from the manifest files, and the .mxi.

From what I understand, there are several ways to prepare an extension for distribution, each adapted to the different 'types' of extensions. I think the easiest thing would be for me to explain my extension and how it is structured, and maybe you guys can help point me in the right direction.

It is a window which is accessible by clicking on the window-> Extensions in first Pro CC 2015, allowing to search, download and import the massive library of my company stock music. It's all done with HTML and Javascript, should work on Windows and Mac, and folder/file structure looks like this:

• TheDiner /.
• index.html
• assets / (contains fonts, images, etc...)
• CSS / (contains css files)
• CSXS / (contains the manifest.xml)
• icons / (contains the files of icons)
• js / (contains javascript files)
• jsx / (contains the .jsx file)
• node_modules / (contains node.js stuff)
• suppliers / (contains third party stuff)

Once again, if I drag the top-level (TheDiner) folder in "/ Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions /", it works fine.

Initially, I used ZIPSignCmd to sign and package my project in a .zxp file (without a .mxi file, because I don't see anything about it in any tutorial I was referring to). I submitted the request to Adobe Exchange, and after a week or two, she was rejected with the following error message:

Installation failed. The error is that there was a problem with the MXI / file in the manifest ZXP. The usual cause for this is that the packing method was not simple. For example it has more than 1 file MXI / manifest file in the ZXP and the installation application does not know that one to open. Or, sometimes the MXI or manifest is missing altogether. Or sometimes it is present but it has been compressed superimposed and the installation application cannot access it. We recommend that you try the method of packaging again and be aware of the hierarchy of folders and files for download. You can test the installation of the extension on your side before you resubmit it by downloading the ZXP of Exchange and installation using the CC of the extension manager (for the CC or CC 2014) or the tool in line of ExManCmd for CC 2015 (more info here: https://www.adobeexchange.com/resources/28).

So as suggested, I tried a manual test using ExManCmd installation and got an error message (I don't remember exactly what it was, but he said basically there is no .mxi file).

So, I tried to make a .mxi file, and this is the result after referring to a pdf on MXIs from Adobe:

<macromedia-extension
id="com.thedinermusic.TheDiner"
name = "com.thedinermusic.TheDiner"
version = "1.0.0">

A Premiere Pro extension that allows access to The Diner Music library.

<products>
<product familyname="Premiere" version="6" primary="true" />
</products>
</macromedia-extension>

I put this in a file called install.mxi and put it in the top level (same level as index.html) folder. I re-packaged the file .zxp and ExManCmd to make a test installation, but nothing - no error or anything like that. I checked my CEP/extensions folder and nothing was there. Clearly, this does not work!

So my main questions are:

• I'm supposed to have BOTH a manifest.xml file, as well as an MXI file? Some online resources were a bit difficult and almost interchangeably, which seemed to view these files.
• My hypothesis Yes, I need both, and the manifest file contains information about the plugin itself, while the MXI file is used for the actual installation. Please correct me if I'm wrong.
• Given the structure of my extension and where I want users to be able to access (window-> Extensions), which should be actually in my MXI file?
• Where should I put the MXI file? When I browse the files of similar extensions for reference, I do not see an MXI file. That means it is not transferred in the installation process, or mean it should not be stored in the folder of the extension (in my case, TheDiner /).

I understand that much of this information are very probably in various resources, but I'm having a lot of difficulty to collect the 2 and 2. Maybe Probably that is because I have never done this before, or perhaps the information I find is in fact obsolete, but anyway I can use all the help I can get.

Thanks in advance for your time!

I'm looking for a way to configure CF to respond to requests with other than .cfm extensions
I found the article on extensions of alternatives to the built in web server, but I would do the same thing on IIS.

Example:
http://wwwroot/aDocumentForMe.PDF
I would like to SEE to treat this with some conditional processing and return a personalized with < CFDOCUMENT > PDF.

I tried to use < name cfheader = "content-disposition" filename = "inline; aDocumentForMe.pdf' > in a normal .cfm but Internet Explorer seems to ignore that.

At some point, it would be nice to have CF respond with "calculated" as .gif files.

You must do as suggests the TechNote so that CF in order to treat it once that your Web Server book. To get your Web server to send your extension *.pdf to coldfusion, you must create a map with it. In IIS, open the MMC properties to the base directory. Click on configuration. Note the .cfc and .cfm mappings. Duplicate them to PDF extension. Confirm that no PDF extension is first in the list.

• A way to prevent the first writing of file extension added to the XMP file names?

Hello world

I'm having a problem with the creation of sidecar XMP files that I hope you can help me with. I found that, as a general rule, the XMP sidecar files created in Adobe applications are named the same as the original file, that they are associated with, only with a different extension, for example add metadata about the file IMG1234. CR2 in Lightroom creates the file IMG1234.xmp . However, in Premiere Pro, adding metadata against CLIP1234. MXF creates one CLIP1234. MXF .xmp sidecar.

We are wanting to use a dam at our office (Daminion) for all our assets (photos, Photoshop and Illustrator files and videos). Ideally, it uses XMP to manage metadata and can automatically recognize the XMP metadata created by Adobe applications - except metadata added by first. In this case, I have to manually remove the first extension in filenames sidecar created by first for Daminion to their affiliation with their corresponding video files. It is a royal pain and prevents any exchange of metadata without seam between the two programs.

Is it possible to stop the Premiere Pro adds the extension of video to the XMP file format? No other work around?

Thanks in advance!

There is no setting for this in PP.

• First does not suite extension symlinks for the network drives

Hey folk from Adobe.

I'm developing an extension for the first I like to find in a shared network folder. If I place a symbolic link in the extensions folder that points to a path on my local drive, everything works great. Thus, for example, from this directory:

/Users/ [user] / Library/Application Support/Adobe/CEP/extensions

I have create this symbolic link:

extension-My->/some/LOCAL/path/library/first/my-extension

... everything works fine. But if I change the symlink to point to a network location:

extension-My->/some/NETWORK/path/library/first/my-extension

Then, the extension is not available in first. Is there a reason, that you can think of this first would prefer symbolic links to the locations the over the symbolic links to the network locations?

See you soon,.

Raphael

I can think of many reasons related to security now does not re - runs.

Extensions must be installed by modules, or ExManCmd; both place files in the correct location.

• Import directly into the first aid extension of CEP

Development of extensions CEP very new here. We have a web server with several media files. The goal is to create an extension of the PEC for Premiere Pro that allows users to access files on this server and import them directly into their project.

I've seen a few other extensions that can do this already, but am very confused as to how it is actually done. I don't see how that's possible with Javascript seamlessly download a file, without any kind of guest to find out where to save it and then have first import automatically.

Here is an example that does exactly what I describe:

https://creative.Adobe.com/addons/products/13539#.VmMjAIRTdvU

I had a look at the source code for the above example, but there are 83 000 lines of Javascript to sift through.

I'm not looking for a complete tutorial on how to do this, just a general direction to look in. Is there some sort of API first that handles this? Is it really possible to do this with Javascript only? Any guidance is appreciated.

Thank you!

Try this:

var csInterface = new CSInterface();

var filePath = ~ / file.MP3;

csInterface.evalScript ("app.project.importFiles (['" + filePath +"']) ', function (result) {}" ")

Alert (result);

});

• Economy twice during an action as the same file extension possible with Photoshop without overwriting the first backup?

Hello, first time submit a question to the Adobe communities.

I would like to be able to record twice during an action with the same file extension; How is that possible? I tried a number of methods such as: save a JPEG as a copy, renaming jpeg in jpg format, adding a line to underscore the SMALL Word after it, etc., and it keeps overwriting my first recording. I'm still not recording "in copy" feature when saving a jpeg file. Sometimes it does, sometimes it doesn't. I think that if this box is not grayed out on my second record I would be able to add the copy at the end of my file name that would create my second jpeg.

I need this is because when I save the little and the big jpeg for our company store, I would just create an action that saves as two different sizes and then closes the file to move to another. The site on what I download is Four51 and they take a reorganization of the files, so a single method, I tried was to save the second time into action as a png but it makes it transparent and I need a white Uni.

Tried to go into the options and disabling transparency PNG but that only works with quick export that will not register within an action (even abroad). It is a dilemma for some time, and my only way to work around it is to create the action doesn't follow: resize to 300 px wide > save as Jpeg > end of action. I play action and hit the command option I have change my size to 100 px wide for the thumbnail, then click on control shift s to record success and right arrow to add details and then save, order q, tab, space.

If it makes no sense to anyone, I would be grateful for your advice. The only thing I can think that I have not tried is to change my background from transparent to white and then create this action: command option I have 300 px wide > order s (jpeg) > command option I have 100 px wide > command shift s (png) > w command

I guess the only way to change your default background to white instead of transparent is to create a new document and put in place without transparent background then go further, my new documents will have white backgrounds. Do not see under my preferences?

Thank you

Something like the following action could work.

A couple of notes:

Image adjustment is under file > Automate > Fit Image and resizes the image to fit the specified size.

For example, if you enter 300 in the two fields, photoshop resizes the longer side at 300 and the other dimension including the size proportionally as when you use Image > Image size to maintain Proportions checked.

Photoshop uses the copy to JPEG files if the image of your savings has one or more layers or is not 8-bit/channel, because do not support JPEGs of layers or say 16 bits/channel.

If you have only a background layer, then photoshop uses a copy when saving a jpeg file

Thus, during the recording of the action you probably want that one-step flatten so save the first does not include copy in the name.

To get the action record adding copy to name, open any image, add a layer, and then record save as jpeg for copy adds the jpeg save as step

Created the snapshot of the original image open, so the second resizing using the original instead of resizing the image already resized.
