  Given that the laptop supports only Intel GL40 chipset, you can expand the memory to 4 GB only.
  So, you can use 2 x 2 GB RAM.

  You can use DDR2 RAM 2 GB 667 MHz memory modules

  I am in possession of Satellite M70 series computer Toshiba laptop with Windows XP Home edition operating system.
  I downloaded the mdm - GR - 20080410083448.zip file, but I put t know how to
  the content of the extracted files in order to run the installation.

  Could someone please guide me through this process?

  As far as I know this device supports the PC100 SDRAM and you can upgrade the memory to 1024 MB (2x512MB) max
  In addition, you can use the modules:

  PC100 256 MB (PA3069U - 1 M 25)
  PC100 128 MB (PA3005U)
  PC100 64 MB (PA3004U)

  In my opinion, you use these modules. NO module memory name is not effective and unstable.

  -1.50 aged and
  -new 5.10 and this one are designed for Vista.

  I found some info on the Toshiba site us but nothing about the designed BIOS for laptops European.

  So, here is my question:
  I have a laptop M70 and want to upgrade the memory from 512 MB to 1 GB. I checked Toshiba online store and found that in fact 2 memory of 512 MB with the same characteristics (512 MB PC2-4300 DDR2 533 MHz) are supposed to do the job...
  The only difference is that the PA3412U - 1 M 51 is mentioned as "dual channel" and the PA3412U - 2M 51 is "RoHS compl.

  So, what is the good? Another problem is that I can not really get any of these two because the first one is "sold out" and the second is 'exhausted '! Laughing out loud

  But finding the correct for my system is a good first step, in my opinion. Thanks in advance! ;)

  In this unit are 2 slots available and you can upgrade the memory for max 2048 MB (2x1024Mo). You can use DDR2 memory modules.
  I found information on the modules of memory support

  DDR2 400/533 256 MB (PA3389U - 1 M 25)
  512 MB DDR2-400/533 (PA3412U - 1 M 51)
  1 GB OF DDR2 400/533 (PA3411U-1M1G)

  I would recommend to google for this part numbers and I m you will find an online store that offers this module.

  On this site you must choose this Satellite model Satellite M70-131 (PSM70E).

  But on the unit, you should find an option called create CD-ROMs Drivers & tools.
  This option, you should find in the Toshiba Assist utility.

  So I want just to renew my old driver ATI MOBILITY x 700, it is now v6.14 and when I checked the site driver ATI, they have the latest one, v7.12. But the driver did not work on my laptop Satellite M70. It runs first validation to check if they can install the entire driver in my system, and it just says: "thank you for your interest in CATALYST, unfortunately, this software update can not be installed on your system, please contact the manufacturer of your laptop for the driver updates.
