External monitor left or right Position

Hello, I just connect an external monitor to the laptop HP.  Windows Vista worked perfectly, it has detected and initialized a program to ask me how I wanted it dispay.  I said to dispay the right side of the screen.  It was my mistake and I should have said that it appears on the left side.  I don't know how to reset it properly.  Can anyone help?

Never mind, one click with the button right on the desktop and started the mobility monitor.  I checked the left box office extend and all is well now.

    I have a W510 in MiniDock Plus series 3. The operating system is Windows XP.

    I can activate my external monitor using the NVIDIA Control Panel. The page "Set Up several screens ' allows me to extend the desktop as 'A large horizontal Desktop' or 'configured independently.

    Using "Set apart" it is possible to choose either "laptop display + external" or "external + computer laptop display.» The screen that appears first is that logically on the left.

    Underneath, there is a distinct choice for the main screen of Windows.

    Because my office is configured with the laptop on the external monitor to the right and the left, I want to have ' laptop display + external ', with 'external' as main display.

    Among the four possibilities, it is one that does not. When I choose the laptop on the left and the external as primary, the laptop is always a priority.

    If I choose as the main external, can I have the phone as secondary, but it is logically to the right, but physically to the left. So to move a window to the left screen I have to drag it out of the right. I can not physically reconfigure my workspace to bring the laptop to the right of the external display.

    What Miss me?

    This seems to be a bug in the NVidia (3.3.452.15) Control Panel. It cannot apply the correct setting.

    The solution is to change the position of the monitor using the windows display settings tab properties drag the monitor icons so that the '2' monitor is on the left. Then it will be applied correctly, and the NVidia control panel will be able to read the configuration.

  • Vista don't forget display settings; move the second monitor from top right.

    Windows Vista is often (not always) forgotten my display settings for my external monitor.

    I have a Dell XPS M1530 laptop with a NVIDIA GeForce 8600 M GT graphics card.  The laptop is running Vista Home Premium SP2 with all updates applied.  I have a Samsung LCD monitor mounted on the wall above the laptop screen that I use as a second monitor (driven by the output of the laptop).

    I updated the display settings so that my second screen is located above my main monitor. My problem is that Vista often forget this parameter after the standby or hibernation, and returns the value by default display settings of 'second monitor is to the right of the primary monitor'.  This means that I often walk in the display settings to do the right thing (pardon the pun).

    I've seen other messages to try to use 'View to connect' in the settings of Windows Mobile (win - X).  However this option only supports a second monitor is located on the left or the right of the main screen - not on it.

    Any suggestions before I have eventually give up and drill several holes in the wall to mount the external monitor to the right of the screen of my laptop?

    Thank you.

    In my case out of sleep the primary monitor (laptop) is off (still asleep) while the second monitor is on but the resolution is that the screen of the laptop and he took the position of the main monitor. I push the "fn" + 'f4' key to switch between monitors, laptop monitor turns on but the secondary display stands. Another pressure on the keys cause the laptop monitor to be shared and the secondary monitor is now on, that's what toggle keys do. On the third time that the keys have pushed the two monitors came the resolutions they were Setup.

    Try using the ToggleKeys. On some laptops the 'f' key to toggle is "" f5"key. My 'f4' key has the image of two monitors.

  • How to set up an external monitor to display cell with lid closed?

    Hello

    I want to configure my new two external monitors to function as an extended desktop MPB lid closed, but am not clear how. What I see as I type this now is the screen MBP as usual, the external monitor to the right has the image of the desktop from my laptop but nothing else, and your screen to the left with the Yosemite stock to the image of the Sun and nothing else. They are connected by a Targus docking station, I guess that properly since both are alive and well.

    What I would do with lid closed is the screen to the left of the screen MBP and see right monitor as an extension of the left. I tried to close the laptop to see it would automatically migrate to the left monitor, but it does nothing.

    Your help is appreciated in advance.

  • Satellite M30-S309 - certain proportions on external monitor not right

    Hello world.

    I have a Satellite M30-S309 that I just started to use it with an external monitor: a 191EW9 of Philips, which has a maximum resolution of 1368 x 768. The built-in monitor is 16 "; the new external monitor is 18.5 ".
    The computer has the driver for the new monitor, but with a few photos of the proportions are obviously not right.

    Anyone know of any way to solve this problem? Or it's an old computer like this all simply not up to handle this type of monitor?

    A solution would be much appreciated.

    Hello

    Can you please explain what you mean with certain proportions are not suitable?
    You can choose the native screen resolution of the external display or use another resolution of the screen?

    To me that sounds like this, you use a wrong setting. On the screen you can change the width, height and to this day. You should check these options.

  • How to position my tag div with top, bottom, left and right attributes?

    So I have my background image and then I want only the sides to display so I put my div tag in the Center and does it extend to the edges of the top and bottom of the page, then theres a little bit of the background image on the sides of the white div. Than perfect, but when I focus I had to remove the position attribute. Now, I can not use the up, down, left and right attributes.

    OLD CODE WITHOUT A CENTER:

    {#whitediv}

    position: absolute;

    Top: 0px;

    Width: 930px;

    height: 100%;

    z-index: 1;

    background-color: #FFF;

    }

    NEW CODE WITH CENTER POSITION BUT CANT IT:

    {#whitediv}

    position:;

    Top: 0px;

    margin: 0px auto;

    Width: 930px;

    height: 100%;

    z-index: 1;

    background-color: #FFF;

    }

    To Center elements with CSS, you need 4 basic things.

    1. A document type is valid,
    2. width in pixels, % or ems, container
    3. a margin left and right of the automobile,
    4. default positioning (static or not specified).

    For example, the following page has a centered division.

    http://ALT-Web.com/test/resizable-BG.shtml

    The background image is applied to the CSS body selector.

    / * DIV CENTERED * /.

    {#page online purchase

    Width: 70%;
    margin: 5th auto;
    Padding: 3em;

  • If I want to use an external monitor of ranking on dell precision 5000 or Hp zbook (equipped both of usb3 and thunderbolt 3) this piece of harware would work with SG?

    If I want to use an external monitor of ranking on dell precision 5000 or Hp zbook (equipped both of usb3 and thunderbolt 3) this piece of harware would work with SG? My monitor is a scientist of Flanders HDSDI LM-2460W. I know blackmagic has a few options but the last time I checked, he has not worked with SG. Anyone know?

    I think Sg works more easily with an output of your video card... I run two monitors style DVI outputs, but he could use the HDMI connections too I think. The tab Setup (wrench) go you and activate a second monitor and... it's a unique method instead... use the lines where she asks location information to 'say' Sg where the upper-left pixel of your second monitor (program or viewing) is your monitor 'system '.

    I had two 1920 x 1080 monitors, stacked vertically, OS/UI on the bottom, "programs" or reading on the upper monitor.

    So, this upper-left pixel of my 2nd monitor is a negative number for 'up' and zero to indicate the two pixels top left "even".

    It is-1080 for the "vertical" number... it's the height of my 2nd screen and it is negative, because it is above the main screen.

    It is 0 for the horizontal number. Yes, they are stacked.

    Now, if I had a monitor/program play to the left of my OS/UI screen, it would be...

    Vertical number 0, as relatively, they have the same 'height ';

    Horizontal number of-1920, that reading is on the left.

    Reading right... Vertical would be 0 and horizontal a positive number of 1920 (width of the primary monitor).

  • MacBook 12 "and external monitors - experiences

    That I have not found much info on using a MacBook 12 "with external monitors (but have found problems), I thought I would post my experiences here for the benefit of other researchers:

    MacBook 12 "with Dell u3415w (3440 x 1440) via a USB - C adapter Digital AV Multiport (HDMI):

    VIDEO: Experienced random black screens on the external monitor. After update to El Capitan 10.11.4 version which included an update of the firmware of the adapter, the problem become constant, with the external screen crashing to black seconds nonstop. Switching the HDMI on the MHL port on the monitor completely solved this problem.

    VIDEO: I'm only able to get a resolution of 2560 x 1080 scaling to fill the screen, which is a little fuzzy but fine for office tasks - selection reduced 3440 x 1440 or "best resolution for this monitor" translates into a look, windowed 16:9, with black bars on the right and left. I have not yet found solution to reach ultra-wide 21:9 angle at the native resolution (but would appreciate a).

    VIDEO: Macbook 12 discs easily display 3440 x 1440 for tasks of office such as word processing and surfing. Video full HD YouTube is generally good, but gets now and then a little agitated.

    AUDIO: Holding Option and clicking on the speaker icon in the menu bar show selectable option for the audio output to the device (monitor). On this screen, it seems to be a problem of reception of the signal of the Macbook when another device is connected to another port. In my case, a PC connected to the DisplayPort would be "laundered" the audio signal of Mac but ONLY if the PC has been out audio through external speakers, not the monitor (a lot of trial and error to discover this. When the audio PC sent ONLY to the screen, the monitor then accept the audio signal of the Mac, too. But have an external speaker connected via a cable audio 3.5 mm to the pc mobo (taken minijack) would somehow replace the TWO PC and Mac audio signal to the monitor. Something to do through the DP connection maybe)

    with ASUS PB27Q (2560 x 1440) via an adapter, no problem.

    with ASUS PA328Q more ASUS PB287Q (3840 x 2160 or '4 K') using the same adapter. Cursor extremely lag/Office up to that you enable DP (Displayport) 1.2 through settings on the screen of the monitors. This allows the Macbook to drive a monitor 4K at 30 Hz, which is always a little laggy, but realistic enough to be productive for word processing, surfing, etc. Would not recommend a 4K monitor for Macbook 12 for a really "nice" experience until / unless that 60 Hz is an option.

    Hope someone finds this is useful.

  • HP Envy X 2 (15-C001dx): HP Envy X 2 (15-C001dx): question seeks to use the external monitor

    I have a brand new HP Envy X 2 (15-C001dx) with Windows 8.1. So far, it works fine by itself. I tried to connect an external monitor to the laptop using an HDMI cable from the laptop to a LG L246WPQ screen. The problem is that 10-15% of the left side of the content portable screen does not appear on the external monitor. Missing from the external display is the word "Start" in the upper left with roughly 2 columns to tiles. This occurs in the two "dual display" or "show only the screen 2" modes.  It's using a resolution of 1680 x 1050 times the cell phone and the LG appearing in support. Using the touch screen on the laptop I can scroll tiles to the right and see the missing columns at the far left. The information displayed on the external monitor begins as far left this screen will be displayed. In other words, there is no black and white on the left box. Except for the missing information on the left side, from the rest of the external display content seems fine. I have updated video driver of the laptop at the latest on HP.COM.  No change in behavior. I tried all the options I could find on the LG OnScreenDisplay, but nothing does the display not better. I've seen complaints on some forums that some "DPI" support added in Windows 8.1is causing many grief monitor for some people. Who would have something to do with it?

    This sounds like a video driver problem?  Something incorrect or incompatible with this LG monitor? Suggestions on other things to try?

    Thank you

    @outback ,

    Hello and thanks for the display on the HP support forums,

    The first thing I would try this question takes the hdmi cable and plug it on another monitor or a TV.

    If the same problem exists then LG issue.  If the same problem occurs on other screens or TV then looking at a resolution problem on the output of the system.

    Even if you can be able to higher resolutions sometimes native resolution will eventually force you to lower it.

    I have two screens at home who can manage resolution 1680 x 1050, however the native resolution is less than that.  and according to what I connect to the screen will depend on what I can get away with.

    Here are some links that you can see and which can be useful.

    Hello

    Have you checked the Panel-> graphic Manager Intel?
    Usually, it takes an option which allows you to rotate the screen.

    There are also combinations of keys that should work too:
    Turn to normal: CTRL + ALT + UP
    Rotation 90 °: CTRL + ALT + LEFT
    Rotate 180 degrees: CTRL + ALT + DOWN
    Rotation of 270 degrees: CTRL + ALT + RIGHT
