  so far I have tried:
  2 instructors and 1 projector all do the same thing, will clone but not extend.
  Reinstall the latest drivers to display on the Toshiba site.
  Reinstall the latest drivers of change on the Toshiba site.

  But nothing worked, I even checked my S300 colleagues to make sure that I use the same parameters and their (of 2 other s300) extend and clone office.

  I have a P20-552 (PSP26E-025E9-S4), who is four years and works well with XP Home SP3. For more screen space while editing video I recently bought an external monitor - an Acer X193w. Here, we can only speculate and discuss the different possibilities because it s just a user forum. EPA has professional diagnostic tools and can order all Toshiba spare parts.
