  Hello Michael,

  There is a power button to render the sounds that are a hardware mute button. It seems that it is on, mute the sound at the level of the material, which is different from the mute of software that comes with the Windows sound Properties dialog box.

  Locate the mute button on the laptop (on Dell its usually on the top left row, near the display) to activate the sound at the hardware level, then check that your audio software is assigned to the properties through the external speakers.

• I have a Dell Dimension with external speakers that worked well until about two weeks ago, when the volume has become about 50% of what it was.

  Next week, the volume got lower and lower, until full volume it is than a bare whisper the sounds and audio.  I checked the Dell and Windows settings and tests and they all report the device working properly.  I bought a new set of speaker - same results.  Theere are no settings mute.  I have no volume icon in the taskbar and when I request I get the message that the sysvol.exe file is not available.  Does anyone have an idea for the fix?

  I have an Inspiron 570 that when turned on the speakers worked well, then they have stopped working and I contacted Dell, tech ran some tests and got the speakers works again. The speakers worked fine for about a week and then quit again? Why it can work once and then not knit back and forth. I think a tech but the last time it took about two hours and I don't have time to set around and wait while the technology tries to analyze the problem.

  I had the same problem that can be fixed by clearing the cache - believe it or not. Try - not done wrong except for lose your connections.

  I tried to print from my laptop, a HP Pavilion G7, and nothing happened I went in devices and saw an error message on the PC icon.  He showed me the yellow exclamation point and says driver is unavailable and driver error.  The icon of the printer showed it's OK with the green check mark. I am an older person with not much technical experience and would appreciate any help on how to solve this problem with the drivers.   I'm not sure if it is a printer problem or a problem of computer as you said that the error is on the PC icon not the icon of the printer.

  How can I find my model number or product number?

  Were there any recent changes?

  You did all your Windows updates?

  Have you tried to run the HP Support Assistant to help with the updates from HP.

  If it worked before you tried to do a restore to a date well known?

  You can also try a Refresh Your PC to solve problems (Windows 8)

  If it is a printer problem, and it is not an HP printer, it would be preferable for you to post in the constructor for the instance of printers.

  Hi, my system is four years old and custom built. (tour). ASUS, spin windows xp svc pk 3. I have a large and two small tweakers woofer? left and right. They are old to quit smoking, but sound as good as bose, so of course I kept it. They will work on my cd downloaded in windows media but stopped working on music of youtube videos. and news, nothing else on windows. I went into Control Panel and checked, all is well. Ran has fix that and it came ok. But they still do not work with everything else. I read a couple of patches that might work, except that they are way over my head, so have not yet made. (attempt to).

  I think they are patches from microsoft, one is 32557, netvol, audiosvr. I received, is going to help by typing. Does anyone know a simple way eventually? It is not like I'm kind of computer genius, or even very good for nothing! I can barely understand my smart phone, and it's no joke. I'm not stupid. Just old. Ok. Brain does not work as it used too.   Don't get any sound on my external speakers. It tells me that I have "no audio device".

  Check Device Manager to see if you need an updated sound card driver.  Click Start and then right-click my computer, and then click Properties.  Click on Device Manager.  Look down the line of audio, video and game controllers, and see if there is a point of exclamation or question marks there.  If there is, you will nee to download and install the drivers from Dell.

  Make sure that you have installed the latest Cuda driver, your operating system is up-to-date and that you have checked the box that says 'enable GPU untested, unsupported... '. "because the GPU in the new MacBook Pro R was introduced after that it was decided to not continue down the Ray - traced rendering engine path and focus on integration with other 3D applications.

  I have a 19 x120e Fedora running.

  My speakers work for maybe a minute and then stops. If I put the computer to sleep, then wake him up once again, it'll work for a minute or two. When I plug in headphones or external speakers, it works perfectly.

• Not available trying to make with GPU CUDA

  I have a Samsung series 7 Chronos 17 "laptop running Windows 7. It has a graphics card than Nvidia Optimus 650 m. All my drivers and software are up to date.

  I try to get CUDA working in after effects CC so I can use the GPU rendering, but when I try, After Effects does not see, so I can't use the GPU rendering.   According to the information provided by Nvidia, I should be able to use CUDA.

  In a brief search on Google, I saw a post by a guy when put his laptop (same as mine) to the test couldn't use CUDA. It has been disabled or unavailable or something, but I have not found a solution. Someone has an idea of what could happen?  Is this really not supported device?

  If I'm not mistaken the all-in-one 22-h000ed should have a build-in microphone.

  The microphone on my 22-h000ed is not available in Device Manager or in any program (like Skype or tape recorder)

  I ran the tool to Support HP and all the drivers appear to be up-to-date.

  No unknown devices in Device Manager.

  There is still no available recording device.

  Please advise on how to restore the functionality of micro on my 22-h000ed.

  Or I'm totally misinformed and the 22-h000ed is not a microphone build-in?

  Here is the original pilot for "Realtek High Definition" Audio.  I propose to install to see if that solves your problem.  Go to control panel / Audio inputs & outputs to see if it lists the microphone after the driver installation.  We go through the stages of diagnostics one at a time.

• External speakers do not work with HDMI connected Inspiron N7110

  I recently got a new monitor with no speakers.  The monitor is connected with HDMI.  When the HDMI cable is connected, I get no sound from internal or external speakers.  Since the monitor was not pregnant, I get no sound with it connected.  Is there a way to fix this?

  Try going to start > Control Panel > Sound > tab reading "HDMI" device not by default Make - do pregnant be the default.
