Extraction, when I right click on the file compressed, there is no option to remove it. What am I, I guess what to do?

I am trying to register a new addon for a PC game and I need to extract the file, when I right click, WinZip seemed to be the only thing that could extract it, but he told me that my recording session has ended and I needed to buy it.  So, I uninstalled the program, and now I don't know how to extract the file. Help someone?

Go to http://www.mydigitallife.info/2008/06/22/reset-and-fix-broken-windows-vista-file-ext-and-type-associations-include-exe-com-sys-zip-lnk-folder-drive/ and scroll down to ZIP and click or double-click it to restore the ZIP for Vista file associations. The options of Vista to open and extract ZIP files must be restored.  I'm not sure how many steps depends on which is - where to start and what you expect.  Once in the site, isn't that a step - click the button to run the program.

I hope this helps.

Good luck!

At this point, it may be useful to try to capture a dump of user of the explorer.exe crash mode.

You can configure Windows to create dumps of user mode. First, create a System Restore Point.

  • Is there a way to remove the icons on my desktop without deleting the associated files when right-clicking on the icon does not offer this option?

Most of the icons that appear on my desk I have download the new application files can be removed without uninstall or remove related files.  But when I right click on the icons that appeared after reinstalling Panda Internet Security and download of Adobe Reader software to date there is no option to remove the icon, there is rather a prompt asking you if I'm sure I want to move the file to the trash - which I did not.  When I look at 'properties', I see that the location for the two is my office.  I'm trying to reduce the visual clutter, is it possible to do?

    Hello

Click right icon - properties - general tab - Type of file - if it is a LNK then it's only a
Shortcut and if you DELETE it then only it is removed and the underlying program is not
affected. To see where the program check the tab shortcut - target:.

If she is not a LNK and is a. EXE, com, bat and others so if if you delete the file
(which is not a shortcut) and then the program will not work. Shortcuts usually have ARROWS
on them in the lower left corner.

For programs that are stand-a-lone (were copied on the desktop and not installed) you
can make files elsewhere and copy them (and other parts such as.) DLL or. CFG
only as examples and some will have no other room) to then remove them from the
Desktop computer. If you have any programs that were installed on the desktop, you need to uninstall
them and their re - install elsewhere.

    I hope this helps.

    Hi DickCookVS

If the offline files option is disabled, you will need to enable it, if you want to work with files offline to a network folder.

    a. open offline files by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type offline filesand then in the list of results, click manage offline files.

    b. on the general tab, click enable offline files.

You will need to restart your computer for the changes to take effect.

  • When I right click on the shortcut icon, my screen begins to blink and I have to do a Ctl/Alt/Delete to return to display system and monitor to normal.

    * Original title: Steve M.

I have My Documents on my Windows 7 desktop.  When I click the icon, an icon My Documents Shortcut.link then appears next to the My Documents icon.  When I right click on the shortcut icon, my screen started flickering and I mus do a Ctl/Alt/Delete to return to display system and monitor to normal.

I tried to remove the My Documents icon, but who only 'pretending' in the file recycle.  Of course, I don't want to totally delete the My Documents!

    Any advice will be appreciated.

    Thank you.

Although it is strange that the location of your documents is

    C:\Users\Steve\Doc

    Instead of

    C:\Users\Steve\Documents

This result shows that the "My Documents" icon on your desktop is a shortcut and not the actual file with your documents.  The icon on your desktop has a blue arrow, like this:

If you delete this icon, you should get a message like this:

As long as the 'shortcut' word is in the message "Are you sure", everything you delete is a shortcut and not your actual files... so go ahead and delete it.  You can then create a new shortcut or just use the 'Documents' shortcut located on the start menu:
