F.34 Insyde bios version causes loud beep on startup

I have a hp laptop AMD E300 APU 6 GB memory 64-bit computer Windows 8 2000

Just, I flashed the Insyde bios with such F.34 version recommended by the automatic Hp assistant.

Everything seems to work just fine, but when I turn on get a beep very strong after the post and before he asks for a password.

I allows me to raise less than the power tonic simple beeps and walked if there is any way I can adjust the position after a beep?

Thank you

BIOS F.25 should be the old BIOS version before this update.

Download the BIOS from the link below and run this file to the system in BIOS previous flash.

Once the old BIOS is back, check that the beep is back to its usual volume.

  • HP Pavilion DV4-1125nr cannot start after the update/update BIOS version F.12 to d.55

System: HP Pavilion DV4-1125nr PC Notebook

    Product #: FR922UAR #AB

    The system board ID: 30F7

Version of the BIOS (before the update): F.12

    OS: Windows 7

I tried to update the BIOS to d.55 which was provided by HP. After the successful installation the closure of new windows BIOS correctly. I restart the PC, HP Logo appears and then nothing happens. The operating system do not load or start at all.

I also tried to boot using the Windows 98 Second edition CD (to charge BACK), but it did not work.

    Please help me...

Fortunately I found a Solution to this problem.

Here are the summaries (and modified according to my needs) the steps that I've taken of the following thread:

    http://h30434.www3.HP.com/T5/notebook-hardware/dv4-1140GO-won-t-boot-after-flashing-latest-BIOS/m-p/19698#M2730

    1. go to the hp site and download the correct version of your BIOS. In my case it had to F.12. Why not the latest version? Because there is no guarantee that the last one will work for you, know after measures.

    2. go where you downloaded the file and using 7 - Zip (or tool of your choice of course) unzip the contents to a folder of your choice. We'll get to that later, so keep this file open.

    3. use 128 MB or no matter what key-USB USB key (the smallest, you might find, because they said the smaller the better ) and reformatted to FAT or FAT32 click with the right button on the drive by clicking on "format".

    4. now that my USB is ready, go back to the folder where you extracted the file to update the BIOS (always open to the right of the folder?)

"5. If you have the graphics card Intel integrated like me, copy the ' 30F7F12U. FD"of the key USB and RENAME the file '30F7F12U. FD' at '30F7. BIN ". Remember that this name calling to order "DV4-1125nr. If you have a different motherboard, the system or the BIOS, the name must be determined according to the.

The next steps are exact 0.0 as follows (the link of a full detailed discussion is provided below), I simply numbered:

6 unplug the adapter from the laptop.

7 remove the battery from the laptop.

8 insert the USB key into one of the USB ports on the laptop.
Does not seem to matter which.

    9. press the 'Windows' key and the 'B' key

    10. connected to the power adapter.

11 press the 'Power' button on the laptop.

    12. when the LED is entered, letting go of the power button / stop and the two keys down earlier.

    13. After about 10 seconds the notebook started to read the USB key. While searching for the file, the laptop beeps every seconds.
The number of beeps varied, depending on what size of the key USB has been and
the number of files on the USB key, a single beep for many.
If the file was not found, the laptop will restart and try again.

    14. If the file is found then it took about 12 seconds for the laptop to load. No beeps sound not heard during the loading time.

    15. when it is responsible for the laptop has started flashing, indicated by beeps every 2 seconds. It took about 32 seconds.

    16. about 5 seconds after the ringtone had stopped off the laptop computer.

First I update my pc with the last BIOS (F.66), but did not work for me (operating system not loaded after HP Logo ). So I decided to go back to the old F.12 (the version that has been shipped when the laptop was purchased) according to the procedure described above. But the problem is where to find version F.12 as HP currently provides links only for the version of the BIOS F.66 to d.55 (in the drivers from the hp support site section)

Fortunately, I found a direct link to this version F.12 in the next thread.

    F.12 version:

    FTP://ftp.HP.com/pub/SoftPaq/sp40501-41000/sp40749.exe

This was F.12 and worked for me. Thank God Almighty I return my PC.

Thanks to all who contributed in the discussions above.

    Kind regards

A new version 01.10 came out with these fixes:

-Fixes a problem that causes the display to become visually distorted (flicker).
-Fixes an issue where a system running Windows 7 with active hard drive encryption is unable to power (boot) after the BIOS is updated.
-Prevents the BIOS downgraded below the 1.09 version.

Hello from the Czech Republic, I have also problem with noisy fan on my new Satellite A500-1E4 (PSAR9E) (i430M, GT330M) on 64-bit Windows 7 over Office Standard - see http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=46719&start=165&tstart=0.

Today I have updated the bios to 1.60 (from 1.20) and there has been no change. When the laptop powered to the top of the adapter in all modes the fan is running at 60-70% (sometimes at 90% - my office is perhaps quieter :-(). What laptop power battery in normal fashion fan and high performance race to 60-70% (loud sound) and in the economy mode to 80% (very noisy). It's crazy that in economic mode produce more noise than mode high performance. The CPU temperature is cca. 37-43 C, GPU 48-57. Fans of course never stops and all it's standart office. No intensive work or games. I can't imagine in games.

Can someone help me please, I'm really helpless. Or this fixes only bios 1.30 and next version not?

    Hey Buddy,

I think that it of really difficult to say why this happens, but in my opinion you should provide more details about your operating system and drivers.
Are you running the Toshiba factory settings or you have installed another OS?
Fan sometimes high activity is due to a different display driver. Have you installed the latest display driver form Toshiba (NOT nvidia)?

  • Satellite P100-195 - loud beep sound card problem

    Hi guys.

I bought a Toshiba Satellite P100-195, about two weeks ago and since I had a problem with my sound card I do not seem to be able to overcome. Whenever I have to increase/decrease the volume (or audio icon in the system tray or the control panel) I get a loud beep after I let go of the mouse button.

The sound seems to work fine, but the tone is getting stronger every time I increase the volume and is really annoying. I also noticed that whenever I got an audio/video conversion Canopus Procoder 2 I get the same tone, even if the converted files are well and plays well. My Satellite P100-195 was a Portuguese Windows Professional MCE.

The beep will be like a BIOS we and not a BONE.
I already reinstalled the audio driver.
Can someone help me with this?

    Jose Felix

    Hello

Is - this loud beep appear on a fresh install that BONES form the Toshiba Recovery CD?

The second possibility is that your operating system has put this loud beep as a program event.
Go to sound and audio devices and select the Audio tab.

Here, you can see all your sounds that are set on the different program events.

  • S10e - loud beep on AC connect and disconnect!

Hi everyone - first post here!

My Lenovo S10e supplied with Suse Linux Enterprise Desktop, and it works now openSUSE 11.1. I love it! But I'm always in the first weeks congested and still working on the kinks. And here's one:

Every time I have connect or disconnect the AC, I get a very loud beep, which is a real nuisance in the library, and even around the House! I'd love to be able to disable the beep, but as far as I can tell it is a level BIOS setting BIOS give no option to adjust.

All the forums I've found offer a solution only for Windows. If there is an update of the BIOS, which makes it possible to disable the beep, I think I wouldn't be able to apply it in any case, since it would be distributed in the form of a windows .exe. But I bought the device with an operating system Linux is preinstalled. Surely, there must be an upgrade of the BIOS that come to us?

    Anyone have any suggestions here?

    Thank you very much!

  • X121e - loud beeps

Whenever the noebook in hibernation or standby spell extended a short single (I think, I have no long beep to compare with) high slope loud beep.

This morning, coming out of hibernation, I also had a sequence of two beeps. Both were short (I think) and the second was a lot lower than the first. Probably a coincidence, but there was also ready to install windows updates (first time, new machine), so I don't know if it's something to do with it.

Is this normal? The machine appears to be in perfect working condition, that's all just annoying. Can I disable?

Hi some1599, welcome to the forum.

Yes, you can disable the beep of power, to do this you must enter the BIOS and open Config menu, there should be an entry called beep and alarm, please disable the beep for power control.

    Hope this helps

Loading the Google's HTTPS version causes Firefox to do 3 background request every 45 seconds even after closing the page.
With any other HTTPS sites that support HTTP Strict Transport Security (HST), I noticed connection only 1 history.
How can I disable these background connections?

Hello, I'm no expert on the matter, but it is quite possible that the spdy Protocol, which is used by google on its secure sites (twitter atm) and is causing the behavior that you have seen.

"SPDY connections are persistent connections. For optimal performance, it is expected that clients will not close the open connections until the user navigates away from all web pages referring to a connection, or until the server closes the connection. Servers are encouraged from the connections open as long as possible, but can stop idle connections if necessary. »
    http://mbelshe.github.com/SPDY-specification/draft-mbelshe-SPDY-00.XML#RFC.section.2.1

You can try to disable support for the spdy Protocol in firefox (in all: config) and see if that changes the number and length of connections to the server.

  • Portege M100 - blocked processor at 600 Mhz, have tried all BIOS versions

Just my BIOS was about 1.20 when I went to site Web from Toshiba to get the drivers to install and to found the update the BIOS so I followed instructions burn it to a disk, the last one I have and I went, but after the update, I noticed that xp says he was clocked at 600 MHz not 1 2 GHz.

So I used the cpuid to see if it is xp, but it shows as running 598,6 MHz processor and can flow to 600,4 MHz max so I went in the BIOS tried off sleep CPU max CPU and so restarted then I thought it was the xp so I reinstalled but still the same I used Suse Linux always the same.

I've reflashed the BIOS with 1.50 through the same restarted windows. I get on where and it becomes ridiculous, even, I went and found all BIOS versions on the US site of Toshiba, which dates back to version 1.10 to 1.50, so I tried all the. Nothing!

    Thank you in advance

    Hello

Just a question; the motherboard has been replaced by the past?

I know, after the replacement of the motherboard, the test & diagnosis must be performed in order to update the CPU microcode on the circuit board.
If the firmware is not updated your CPU would be stuck at 600 Mhz.

In order to update the firmware, the ASP must be contacted.

The other reason why the CPU runs only at 600 Mhz is the setting low processing CPU Toshiba power saver.
Check if the Toshiba power saver is installed on your laptop and set the options at a higher level.

    Check it out
