F10: Memory stick reader has stopped reading

My drive stick of memory used to read the memory stick, once I put it in my F10. However, now when I put it in the system kind of freezes and does not do anything to be in the drive, even if it appears in my computer as a removable disk.

Also oddly it won't read my camera when I connect it via USB when the memory stick is in the camera? When I put in a different memory stick he reads very well.

Can he explain this mysetery?

Hello

Your ad make me a bit confused.
What do you mean by memory stick? Did you mean an SD card or a USB key?
I don't know if it your case, but it is possible that this means of communication has a failure of m.

Once I tried to use a broken SD card and each time after having plugged the card froze my laptop. This medium was blame for it.

  • How to fix a corrupt Sony Memory Stick Pro Duo

Hello, I have a problem with my Memory Stick. I'm sure that it's corrupt, because I get the usual "No. Memory Stick detected" messages.

The problem here is that I need to know how to solve this problem by using Windows. I have a memory stick reader that I consider using a USB port and whenever I try to open the location, the computer either locks up until I have remove the stick, or he says no disc inserted in the drive. Once, I managed to get my other computer to say "Device must be formatted before use", but after clicking the format, he said that couldn't be. It seems that Windows just hate my Memory Stick but I really want to solve this problem.

If someone think of an answer, please answer. I'll give you more information if necessary.

Insert the disc, but do not attempt to access or open.  Go to start / Control Panel / administrative tools / computer management / disk management.  The disc appear?  If Yes, go to the disc and try to format it using disk management features (I guess since you've already tried to format that it contains no data to record).  If it does not, there is probably a problem with the memory stick (or the USB port - try another port) as only corruption would not prevent from being recognized as valid a drive.

    Let us know what happens.

    I hope this helps.

    Clues please!

    Hello

I think that it of not possible to use the Memory Stick Duo Pro card in the internal drive.
As far as I know, you can't use every SD card with the Toshiba unit.
You should check the manual for this laptop. You will find information what SD cards are compatible and supported on this laptop.

  • Card Memory Stick from Sony USB2.0 and Qosmio nine reader

    Hello
I had a problem with the multicard reader in my Qosmio F10. I have a digital camera of Sony that uses a MemoryStick PRO Duo. The F10 does not have the MemoryStick PRO-Duo without the Sony adapter because the Duo card is smaller than the standard Memory Stick.
The F10 acknowledges that the Sony Memory Stick has been inserted and a little image of the stick appears as a new drive, everything ok. However when I try to open the drive, the F10 said that the MemoryStick PRO Duo is not formatted and asks me if I want to reformat the drive.
I am sure that this is not a problem with my Memory Stick Pro-Duo because it is formatted by my camera and contains pictures. I have done the above on my friends Toshiba Satellite and it works fine. I also experiemented with another Memory Stick Pro - Duo and I have the same problem with the F10 once again, there is no problem when I use it in all other devices (other than my F10).
I'm concerned that there is a problem with my card reader. You have any suggestions on how can I fix?
    Thank you very much. J.

I have a problem with the Memory Stick Duo Adapter/Memory stick PRO DUO card.

Computer properly operate with the Memory Stick Pro 1 GB card and Memory Stick M2 card 1 Gb with adapter M2.

I am trying to connect this card to Sandisk 6 in 1 adapter PCMCIA, but in this case, no one card works.

  • Multi-card reader don't like to give back the cards Memory Stick Duo Pro 23 Pavilion all-in-one

I want to just make sure I don't do something wrong.

When I plug it into a SD card seats when inserted about 2/3 of the way into the slot and I can easily put my fingers on it to remove it when it's time to take it out.  When I plug the Memory Stick Duo Pro that is not recognized until it is at least inserted 9/10 and I can push completely rinse with a case and am not sure that it has bottomed out or not.  It works fine, but now it is not removable without the use of pliers tweezers.

Is this normal behavior and waited for the mult card reader integrated into 23 all-in-one Pavilion?

I have a more than adequate solution.  I plugged in the little USB card reader that accepts MS Pro Duo in their own homes. This post is therefore more closely to ensure that I'm not missing something obvious.

My guess is that the drive or the motherboard was designed for the case to be a little closer it is.

  • Satellite Pro P100-327: memory card reader does not read the Memory Stick Duo

    I just received a P100-327
    aShop http://UK.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/JSP/productPage.do?service=UK&PRODUCT_ID=121991&Toshib = true)
According to this page, is supposed to have "1 x 5-in-1 Bridge Media slot (supports SD Card, Memory Stick®, Memory Stick Pro, MultiMedia Card, xD-Picture Card)", but the pdf manual that comes with it says that it supports not the Memory Stick Duo, Memory Stick Pro Duo or mini-SD.

However, I have a Memory Stick Pro, and a Memory Stick Pro Duo in a Memory Stick Pro adapter, and the reader can't read one of them (they both count as Memory Stick Pro, which should be readable, right?)

Would I be able to read my Memory Stick Pro cards? Why I can't because it says that I should be able to? Should I install something first?

    Hello

To my knowledge and according to the manual of bridge housing media supports media type
    -SD memory card
    -MultiMediaCard, xD-Picture Card
    -Memory Stick
    -Memory Stick Pro

Please note that the Memory Stick and Memory Stick Pro are not the same in the Memory stick Duo and Memory Stick Pro Duo.
    Don t mix.

  • Fingerprint reader has stopped working after update vV1.0.3.49

I recently downloaded from Toshiba and installed Fingerprint Utility V1.0.3.49 (tc00407400c.exe) and since my fingerprint reader has stopped working.
The software opens but usually recognizes my fingerprints and can not connect any other way.

Have uninstalled and reinstalled several times and same result.

Device Manager says device works ok.

May I ask what model phone you have and what system do you use?

Probably, you need to delete stored fingerprints and after restarting again, you should try to register new fingerprints using the software update of fingerprints.

    Have you tried that?

  • Satellite Pro A100-622 can not read the card SD and Memory Stick with Windows Explorer

I have a Satellite Pro A100-622 running MS Vista Home Basic Edition. I tried to use the card reader integrated with SD and Memory Stick card but cannot view the contents using Windows Explorer.

In both cases, the laptop recognizes the card and try to install new hardware. Unable to do so, he asks the drive of the software provided with the cards. Any software not provided with a card and I cannot find drivers to make the drive work.

The only application that I can find on the laptop that is associated with the player is a module of SD formatting, but I don't want to format the card (s) I want to just read the current content of them and add files.

    Any ideas?

    Hello

You can download the drivers (and especially in your case for the sd-card-reader) here:

    http://PC-support.Toshiba-Europe.com/Vista/

    and here

    http://EU.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_drivers_bios.jsp

So the other point is the service of the SD card must be enabled in the start menu-> Control Panel (change to Classic view)-> Administration-> Services-> Chip card (at this point, you must activate the service and configure it to start at windows startup).

If you have any other questions, just ask. ;)

  • Re: Error in reading Memory Stick Pro Duo

    Hello
    I have Toshiba A200 - 1 M 4
When I insert the Memory Stick Duo Pro (with the help of the Memory Stick Duo adapter), I get this error message from Windows Vista:
{color: #ff0000} * you must format the disk into G: drive before you can use it.*
    * You want to format? * {color}

I put the same card in an another (NOT of Toshiba laptop) and it could read as well.
And I do not have problems in playback of SD, but just Memory Stick Pro Duo memory cards.
    So what's the problem?
    Please help me
    Thank you

    Hello

I think that it always useful to take a look in the user manual for additional information on the laptop. :)

The said Memory Stick user manual * PRO Duo * and Memory Stick * Duo cards or adapters are not compatible with the Satellite A200 series multiple digital media card slot!

So you will not be able to use this card.
You'll need to switch to a card that is picked up and compatible with the multiple digital media card slot.

  • Satellite A40: drive has stopped reading the CD & DVD discs

Does anyone know why my CD/DVD combo drive has stopped reading discs (CD and DVD). The light blinks for a while then stays on but nohting happen after that. No prompt to ask to see WMP or real player etc. Nothing at all.

    Hi André,.

Normally, this occurs if the optical drive cannot read the titles of the index on the CD. It does this so that the built-in firmware allows to identify the disc type and recalibrate the lens as a result.

It might, however, be something simple as having the 'autoplay' feature to take no measure for that when a disc is inserted in the optical drive will be re - calibrate the lens and then not start any software to actually read the disc.

Try to insert a disc and then open 'My computer' and check if the optical drive is displayed. If this is the case, then try the "Explorer" (right-click on the icon). If you receive an error indicating that the disk is not accessible or the disc cannot be read, then it is likley that you have a faulty drive.

    Kind regards

  • Using a memory stick (pro duo) in the reader of card Equium A100-027

    Hello
How can I use the card reader? It says it is compatible with the memory stick, but it seems too small to fit in the card reader. Do I need an adapter?
    Help please!

    Thank you.

    Hello

to use the duo pro in a normal memory stick slot, you can buy such adapters (for example, in an electronic market or store):

    http://de.Wikipedia.org/wiki/Bild:Memory_Stick_Duo.jpg

If you just put the duo mem stick in the existing location, you will get heavy problems when you acknowledge that you are not in a position most of
    delete or something else.
Thus, it is good to ask this question here, just to get such adapter and you can use the stick without problems.
