F55 Davinci XDCAM Workflow issues

Hi all

Another Question which I hope that there is an answer.

We tested the Sony F55 workflows and XAVC flavors apparently cannot be reconditioned via content browser 2.2 (as mentioned in another post) so we use FCPX for what is very well.

I tested F55 using Davinci Resolve (Resolve9.1 / ML 10.8.5 / Mac Pro 3.1) and I can see the XAVC flavors and these make it very well but all the flavors of XDCAM are black at will and come out black when I return them.

I'm looking around online while I type this but did anyone aware of this and what I need to do please?

a big thank you to the community

FYI

9.1.6 will update fixed this problem... looking for durther is the version that is supported for F55

  • Lost photos and workflow issues

    I have a question which is perhaps a bit lengthy...

    I have CC on two computers, my laptop that I was using CC on since a year now and my work computer that I use CC on since a few months. I went to grab the raw version of a few images from my work computer to find that they had never actually been saved. They had been available in LR before, but then I went from catalogs, and when I went back to the original, I had the "!" error on all my photos. What I did not know before, but now I know, it's that LR only saves a virtual copy of the image. However, I didn't do anything differently when downloading pictures to my work computer, and I've never had this problem on my home computer. In fact, I can go to my computer and see that all the images in RAW saved in my files.

    So I guess my question is, how can I change my workflow when it comes to images so that this doesn't happen? Also, why the images are saved on my drive of your personal computer? Is it because I saved before lightroom?

    I am very confused.

    The problem with the icon exclamation point on your photos has nothing to do with 'save' photos, or save changes to the metadata. Your changes and metadata are automatically saved in the catalog file (in fact, you can not disable this option). So your changes and metadata are always saved, there is no change in the required workflow.

    Exclamation point icon indicates that the file of the photo itself is not found in the location Lightroom think that the photo is in. This could be because you have renamed, moved or deleted the actual photo file (or the folder that contains it) outside of Lightroom. Under Windows, it can also indicate that the player now has a different drive letter. To resolve this issue, please follow these instructions: Adobe Lightroom - find folders and files moved or missing

    What I did not know before, but now I know, it's that LR only saves a virtual copy of the image.

    Technically, not true. Lightroom saves the editing command sequence you have done, and whenever he needs to show you the photo in the develop Module, it makes the image of these change orders. In the library Module, Lightroom is based on previews it creates to show you the image (which are not a "virtual copy" of the image).

  • XDCAM workflow?

    Hello!

    I work with XDCAM 422 images for the most part, I shoot with a PMW-200.

    I have change in first Pro CC. I transfer the material before you publish it on an external hard drive and then import the files from there and then start editing. What is a good workflow?

    I read that one of the advantages of Premiere Pro CS6 being that you could just start editing without conversion?

    Some people say that you need to convert to get more smooth in edit, but I haven´t had problems with my workflow. I think it is good, even if I change with the Raw images, so to speak.

    Do you have any other ideas? I mean to convert it to another format?

    It would be great to hear your opinion!

    Concerning

    Jens

    Hi Jens,

    Yes, you should be able to edit XDCAM natively without problem. However, do not forget to use import good workflow. Copy the contents of the memory card on hard disk, all the folders/files intact. Then first, use Media Browser to import clips. This has several benefits, including a correct management of the spanned clips and better reading.

    'Paper jam' error in the status of the printer from the PC even if there is no interference on the printer paper.  I can send a print to the queue file, but it would not print.  Any help would be appreciated.

    Evening @shark3fins.

    I saw your post about the problems you are having with a paper jam error message on printer PSC 1210 and I am able to help.

    There are only a few documents left for this model of support, but I found this fixing of jams paper or workflow issues paper for printers from the HP PSC 1100, 1200, 1300, 1400 and 1500 series.

    Please note: the printing software will not send the print job on the printer if he thinks it's an error state. After checking the good printer, try to make a copy. If it copies, it may just be a software problem, you can always try Uninstall and reinstalling new software this download page.

    Please let me know if any of these steps has resolved your problem, or if there is anything else I can do to help.

  • How does the opening with El Capitan?

    Despite the merits of the new Photo app (which I did not assess noting that the trend of the subscription), I look forward to continue to use the opening. I'm even willing to vote a MacPro 2006 offline to the single task of maintaining the library and sharing in the House. However, I have an iMac of 2012 which currently stretches from Yosemite 10.10.3 and seems to do very well with an opening.

    So the QUESTION I have is...

    (((A) if I were to upgrade to El Capitan, opening is going to have a problem 1) to run a program reliable and 2) with the library of images and metadata etc?

    (B) if I can't stand the envy of others who went to 'Photo' at any time in the future, will be I "missed the boat" in some way to be able to transfer everything to the enviable systems of the future like Photo? (thinking that photos, organizational structure and metadata)

    (C) could I still use the structure of the Organization of the opening at the same time? (use the Photo and export to the opening)

    (D) Aperture Will be able to handle 30 mb image quality + (shooting RAW)?

    (I am indeed not a pro but a passionate photographer of the family hoping not fossilize) - thanks for any help on the above!

    Many seem to be running OK opening on El Capitan; works for me, but I'm importing is more a lot in. Others have had problems, BUT feel that some users of Aperture are also use old hardware also.

    Don't forget that one of the salient features of the opening is the ability to store non-destructive image adjustments. So all these beautiful shots you cropped, tuned, converted to B & W, etc. May NOT be exist in Aperture. If you exported from those, exports exist. But if not and opening stop, because it willl eventually, you lose these adjustments not exported. Pouf. A backup would not allow the same.

    The originals, however, probably will last some time, given that JPEG and RAW files even now are ubiquitous. This isn't like MacPaint documents. But still.

    It is possible that in future versions of Photos you wouldn't not is more able to import libraries including these adjustments I talked about. Probably not for a while, but why take the chance? Keep your original Aperture library and convert a copy for use in Photos (or anything else). No problem except a little of space at low cost. If you continue to use Aperture, just think of that as a backup strategy. (And BTW, I doubt even paralyzed opening users will envy Photos users for a long time, if ever).

    With the opening in parallel is possible, but works best if both are reference the same photos, do not use managed libraries. But which prevents you from using iCloud photo library, which might not be a problem. It requires some tedious workflow issues, but it's doable. Everyone can (at this stage) import virtually any TIFF other exports. But even once, you lose the settings in this way. If you convert an Aperture library for use with Photos, you don't need to export; parameters (settings) move instead of TIFF.

    Opening will eventually choke on something. And he is not developing; stuff like mist filtering, HDR, focus stacking, RAW, pixel shift development plugins, etc etc all goes dead journal. Get a new camera and relying on the opening to treat his images seem to be rather backward, unless you like looking at photos on your flipphone in 8 glorious colors.

  • How batch warp stabilize effectively?

    Hi, I work on a small team of post-production and we meet a workflow issue of having constantly to deform stabilize many clips in several sequences. We tried the two following solutions without success.

    1 finish the Assembly of the sequence, then applying stabilizer warp at all. Trying to batch process them both at the end. This translates EACH of them trying to deal with at the same time, in the series, which grinds our editing to a halt stations.

    2. application of stabilizer in the chain to several clips at once, then continue to climb the rest of the sequence. This simplifies still rub through sequences almost impossible.

    Then, someone has other ideas that do not involve the use of AE or another program (we want to keep it simple and stay in first)?

    Will be a faster machine like a new MacPro allow #1 or #2 above to work? Someone out there who has a MacPro can try for us by chance?

    Because you don't want to not closed any stabilization in Ae (potentially

    even on a second workstation / digital intermediate export / replacement to editing).

    Then, it seems that if you are already working within the limits of the performance

    defined by the stabilization of greedy Warp of process in first and your current

    specifications of the workstation.

    A beefier system could give a reprieve, but the fact that stabilizing Warp will be

    always demand a high use of system resources (as well as to dramatically increase your)

    file size of project .prproj) will not change.

    You might consider budgeting system and editing time in order to push all the

    your calculation of stabilization Warp work until the end of the day and let it run overnight.

    In addition, perhaps working with your camera operator to minimize

    the amount of stabilization, that you need for each edition.

  • 'You do not have permissions for this item' - the HARDWARE SPECIFICATION

    Dear members,

    I'm trying to access a material specification, but I am constantly presented with the following message: ""you do not have permissions for this item.

    Curiously, I could already access specifications but now I am presented with this.

    I have the same problem with the profiles of LIO.

    Does anyone have a known solution for this?

    Kind regards

    This happens usually when you do not have read permission according to the State of the workflow of the specification. Different permissions can be set up for different status in the Administration of the WFA (WorkFlow).

    In addition, if you use business units as a safety feature (rather than just BU visibility), you might get this message. In this case, you should not be able to see this specification in a search result, though, so if you see in the results of material technical search page, is not a DRINK problem, it's a workflow issue permission to read.

    There is an additional possibility, that is if your team has put in place the extensibility point of SpecVetoHandler, which allows for personalized reading permission checks added. It is a technical extensibility point configured in the config file CustomPluginExtensions.xml.

    But more likely, it's a workflow permissions problem. You should ask your users to s Adminitrator of workflow.

  • Limited access flow directly from URL

    I created a stubborn workflow consisting of pages and method calls in my application, "my-bounded-flow '. Workflow without terminals of my application, I have a call to my-unlimited-flow stream. I also have a view ('House') activity on my unlimited speed. When I deploy my application, users can access 'at home' with the url http:// < url > / < context-root >/faces/home. They can then access my-unlimited-stream using a link (via the action).

    Is it possible for users to go directly to the workflow bounded by typing a url? I tried to replace the. / home with the activity of my unlimited flow ID, but nothing is.

    Thank you

    Brad,

    I checked with our implementation. Here is the proper URL structure.

    / faces/ADF. Task-Flow? ADF.tfDoc=/yourPackage/YourTaskFlow.xml&ADF.tfId=YourTaskFlowId¶meter=value

    Here is an example of our application:

    / faces/ADF. Task-Flow? ADF.tfDoc=/pages/ENR/Task-flows/ENRProductionReportTaskFlow.xml&ADF.tfId=ENRProductionReportTaskFlow&inIsFromMain=true

  • Issue by the way CHIEF: ChefHost Chief Workflow parameter in vRealize Orchestrator API

    I have an environment with vRealize Orchestrator with CHIEF plugin installed. I want to call the API to initiate a workflow LEADER in vRealize Orchestrator.

    I want to call the workflow MANAGER Add New Role . The input parameters for this workflow are

    <input-parameters>
         <parameter description="Chef Server" type="CHEF:ChefHost" name="host"/>
         <parameter description="Name of new role" type="string" name="role"/>
         <parameter description="(Optional) Description of new role" type="string" name="description"/>
    </input-parameters>

    The format for sending the parameters of the form type="string" is

    In JSON

    {
         "value":{"string":{"value": "role name"}},
         "type": "string",
         "name": "role"
    }

    In XML

    <execution-context xmlns="http://www.vmware.com/vco">

                <string>Role Name</string>
           </parameter>
      </parameters>
    </execution-context>

    The problem, I do face is with the parameter type="CHEF:ChefHost" . I can't get the correct syntax for the shipment of type = "CHIEF: ChefHost '. During the test with the factor, I always get a 400 error with descriptionThe request sent by the client was syntactically incorrect.

    Is there a document that shows how to create a CHEF:ChefHost type?

    PS: I asked this question in http://stackoverflow.com/questions/37405901/issue-in-passing-chefchefhost-parameter-for-chef-workflow-in-vrealize-orches...

    Because I don't have an answer of SO, I ask you here.

    Chief Guest, as any other plugin object are passed as objects sdk-object are identified uniquely by their type and the id attributes. Here's how the body of the request should look like:

    in XML:

      ]
    }

    You need to replace the id attribute in applications above with the current host id. To find the real ID of your host, you can query vRO catalog REST API - /GET https://{vro-host-or-ip}:8281/vco/api/catalog/Chef/Host

    In the returned response, find your host data, get the value of the dunesId attribute (must be a GUID string) and use it as a value for the id attribute in applications above.

  • Workflow and issue composition

    I have images of 22 cameras, GoPro, mp4, I imported natively into AE (11,02, OS 10.8.3 Mac 2.66 mhz Quad tour 16 g of RAM) in 1 composition.  I intend to achieve the desired effect and exit then a codec production, prores 422 for inclusion in my first project timeline.  Is this a valid workflow?

    Following the issue of membership:

    Most of the 22 cameras (in a table) recorded two or more files of the 16 mintes of execution, (there are 6 a separated in that time).  Before, I wrote these film files (after aligning a slate and for each layer continuous playback) to neaten up upwards and make more compact my calendar of EI.

    The effect I'm trying to achieve is a time-Slice/Bullet Time where I can "cut" one camera to the other throughout the Bay, thus freezing the action, but having the 'camera' move topic - and then the last layer/camera continue to play.  Specific I want to freeze, I set the opacity of each layer 0 successively to preview it help "freeze point" However in my ram only the first layer plays images.  Without the transformation of opacity to each layer, I can make a rough version of what I'm trying to do this solo ' ing each individual layer and I can't understand why making it each opacity of layer 0 successively does not work.

    Also once I have finished all the transformations of the opacity, the lower layer must be visible 1 framework after the layer above it goes to the opacity of the O, but actually, it's BLACK!  What the devil?

    Should I drag each image layer 1 forward in reading an image so only 1 of each layer?  Once again "turn on and turn off" each layer with an opacity?  I found the answer to this question, at least for now.  Each successive clip gets cut to the desired picture, then slipped a picture in front of the upper layer (save the top layer, which is reduced to the image).  In this way the same frame plays again and again with each camera along the Bay.

    I made a mistake using the comps pre mixed with the film 1 - taking?  In other words, my main computer now includes preliminary comps of the 2 files produced by most devices, as well as the original footage from these cameras mp4 that has recorded only a single file for the action.

    And further; Once I have the visible images in the correct sequence would be I before dial again and apply a sfx as displacement of the pixels to interpolate between the difference/door frames due to the difference of the position of each camera?  Please suggest another stream of work or layout composition!

    I hope I was clear, I am here and ready to clarify if I omitted no details.

    I would be forever grateful for the answers to questions pending if someone has an entry for me.  The question now is: remapping time or timewarp (which one?) front Displacement of the pixels - and displacement of the pixels is better for image interpolation smooth all this?

    Thank you very much
    Jesse

    Let me comment on one thing here:

    Also once I have finished all the transformations of the opacity, the lower layer must be visible 1 framework after the layer above it goes to the opacity of the O, but actually, it's BLACK!  What the devil?

    Here's the deal. The CTI is at the beginning of a frame. This means that if you look at the value for this image, you will see the actual values for this image. If you set 0 then it is the value of the image, you are on, not the next image. If you have a top to the frame 105 layer opacity 0 value and the layer directly beneath it also set to 0 then the two frames are 0. It's logical.

    I think that you go about it the wrong way. You do a lot of work for yourself that you don't need to do. If you have all your synchronized layers and in the left right order to the right and you want to make a gel frame 200 then set the CTI to frame 200, divide all layers, then move all the new layers to the top of the comp and select them. This can be done with three keystrokes. [Ctrl/Cmnd + A to select all the layers, Ctrl / Cmnd + D to split all selected layers, Ctrl/Cmnd +] to move all layers to the top.

    Now, use Ctrl/Cmnd + right arrow to move an image to the right and repeat the procedure. An easy way to mark these executives cut for easy selection would be to define a color label group. Select all the layers above the initial allocation (your layers of the image and the upper layers) and choose Animation > keyframe Assistant > sequence layers. Now the first layer above the layers of single frame, snap the CTI to that layer by pressing on the I have key, put a chronological marker, select all the layers above the layers of the unique image and press Shift + Alt/Option + the home line up on the first image and then catch them and hold down the SHIFT key to align ICT while dragging.

    That's all. It takes about 10 seconds. Now you can compost before this lot all over and put in place any interpolation or the time-remapping that you want in the precomp.

  • How do you géreriez this issue of workflow Adobe Stock?

    I have some pictures of Stock from Adobe that I use for comps in InDesign.

    They must be black and white in the model.

    Once I have buy, I will apply the adjustment layer to image b & w in PSD. But for now, I want that they appear n/b for the model.

    Here's my dilemma.

    If I open and apply the image b & w adjustment layer, I save it as a PSD file to be able to make adjustments on the adjustment layer. So, I lost the image of stock purchase facility by clicking on the little cloud.

    If I open and apply black and white conversion to the image and re - save in JPEG format, I lose the ability to change the black and white setting for the model.

    I can do workarounds by creating a black object, the "Hue" value and positioning on ID, but there is a lot of extra work, and it will be difficult to change the layout on the fly.

    That I am I missing that would make this so much easier?

    Sandee,

    You can save a Photoshop file that is linked to the original JPEG, but you must first create a new file. To answer your original question, that's what I'd do.

    1. create a PSD file of model to a size suited for placement in the inDesign layout.

    2 Add a B & W adjustment layer to the PSD template.

    3. find the stock image, drag it to the place PSD template under the B & W adjustment layer

    4. Save to a new file with the appropriate name

    5. place the new PSD file in InDesign (including not incorporated)

    6. Repeat for all images

    When you are ready to concede the stock image, use the inDesign links Panel to open each PSD, license the image in Photoshop and then close and save the file. Updated licensed image should be updated in InDesign.

    I understand your challenge. My workflow adds additional steps, but it's the only way to accomplish the app in license option.

  • SCRM Workflow + sourcing issues approvals

    Hello

    I'm testing the workflow SCRM, implemented, and just to be clear on the following problem:

    When I need to add a user/group in the owner section, for example, the system allows me to put the author + another user.
    Assumed that 'author' would be the workflow creator (me), then how is I possible to set up another user = author as the owner of the workflow?

    In addition, what is the impact of the 'optional' field be checked? could you please give me some examples?

    Finally, when create a sourcing I would need to complete the vendor item field and the provider of the Pavilion signed spec.
    I guess that the provider element would be the number of suppliers of cross-reference in another system. Am I wrong?
    When should I check the spec supplier signed instead? When is it necessary? Could you please give me some examples to better understand the need for the provider to sign an agreement of supply?

    Thanks and greetings
    Daniele

    "When I need to add a user/group in the owner section, for example, the system allows me to put the author + another user.
    Assumed that 'author' would be the workflow creator (me), then how is I possible to set up another user = author as the owner of the workflow? »

    The 'Author' token represents the origin of the Sourcing or GSM approval specification. To configure other users as owners, you must add them to the grid of owners during the stage. The first stage and the terminal stage do not have the option grid owner. The user Administrator's Guide discusses this further on page 7-10

    "In addition, what is the impact of the 'optional' field be checked? would you please give me some examples? »

    You can do as an option for the user to select an owner, requestee recipient or notification is signed. This means the end user during the workflowing the object could choose to not choose an of these. If the selection was not marked as optional the user could be said that they have to choose something before continuing. For example, if you wanted all members of the labelling group to notify that you would as an optional choice for the specification or end user workflowing approval of sourcing. If you allow the end user to decide when and who should be notified that you do as the optional selection.

    "Finally, when create a sourcing I would need to complete the vendor item field and the provider of the Pavilion signed spec.".
    I guess that the provider element would be the number of suppliers of cross-reference in another system. Am I wrong? »

    It could be and you may manually fill the cross reference associated with this provider in the field of # article provider.
    This could also be a temporary number that you use for the equipment of the provider until it is approved/bought material with a cross reference assigned.

    "When should I check the spec supplier signed instead? When is it necessary? Please give me some example to better understand you the need for the provider to sign a certification of sourcing? »

    Signed provider Spec means that the provider has literally approved specification and accepts provider what dictates the specification. It allows you to say that they closed, what date they were signing on the specifications and all the other reviews which are necessary around this approval. There is another feature, that you can use to automate this sign off the coast. You can send the specification of a supplier, have them checked, then they can approve or reject supplied hardware like the precepts of the specification. This interaction is captured on the approval of sourcing. When they approve the specifications that the signed Provider box is checked, the date is captured and their observations are also recorded. You can learn more about this feature in a white paper with the product documentation.
