  I'm looking for an internal DVD burner for a model Satellite Pro A40 2.88 Celeron with a currently installed CD-RW/DVD-Rom. My mother is the owner of this laptop and I want to upgrade the drive for her.

  For this particular model, I could not find another A40 Pro which has a DVD - RW, only DVD ROM. I also suggest to buy an external DVD - RW writer because an internal hard drive will cost much more. Probably triple what external there. External, you can find for about 50 but internal will cost at least about 90 more taxes. I'm sure it is internal that correspond to this machine, but at the moment I don't have the time to research each compatible model search of the car, it's why I suggest an external drive.   Fills up my computer so I want to spend all my photos and my LR work from an external hard drive. I read some of the forums on any move. I copied the folder that my images are on the external drive. I also copied the Lightroom folder in the Finder (containing .lrdata and .lrcat things) on the external drive. If I delete these two folders of my computer and just locate in LR from external HDD (when all points of question marks pop up on the pictures) then everything will work as before?

  I use LR 5.7.1 and OS X Yosemite 10.10.5. The hard drive is a 2 to Samsung M3 (if any, everything that makes a difference).

  If you copied the folder catalog Lightroom and previews of Lightroom on the external hard drive, you can then go ahead and delete the folder in your computer's internal drive.

  Also, please make sure you have Photos copied to the same folder structure as it was on your internal drive.

  Once you launch Lightroom from the external drive, then you should reconnect only images in Lightroom with the images of the external drive.

  The price of HARD drive depends not only on the size of the HARD drive, but also on the rotation of the disk, size of buffer.
  I think that the Qosmio also supports S - ATA interface. In this case, you need a compatible SATA HARD drive.

  The additional HARD drive capacity must be equal to or greater than the capacity of the first HARD drive. Additional if you are using RAID-1 the operating system recognizes the slightest ability to drive HARD 2.
  In this case, if you use a 60GB and a 120 GB OS recognizes it as 60 GB. The extra 60 GB of the second HARD disk cannot be used.

  This depends on how much storage you need.  You can spend with a HARD drive classic if you need a lot of storage up to 1 TB, or if you want you can go with an SSD of speed. You can get a HARD drive of 1 TB for what it can cost to buy a 250 GB SSD.  You can get the SSD more great but costs as much as your computer is interesting.

This consumes less energy and work more cost but, making it slower.  If you do not have to be also considering the battery life or temperature, you could install a 7200 RPM drive.
