• Façade has stopped working properly on the Qosmio X 300/305

  I had my computer not a week ago and since then, I had some problems, especially with a blue screen when I hit the FN key. Research on the problem, I disabled services of Toshiba and eventually found the culprit: hwsetup.exe. Manual execution crashed my computer and it still doesn't work. However, after you install a new version of it, it seems that FN is working fine now. Hwsetup running always breaks the computer well.
  Any ideas what may cause this? The computer is new, so I don't see what I could have done to cause this situation myself.

  Now to the following problem: it seems that the façade has stopped working correctly, the touch of the keys that allow you to launch the application Dolby, the webcam application and also turn on and off the red lights on the keyboard. When I click on the touch keys, all I get is the tone of the speakers, but nothing happens. I guess I have disabled something by mistake. Any thoughts?

  I had initially followed this link to create the remote façade so that I could remotely control the VI. It had worked fine then and when I try the same thing today on the development of PC, it gives "access error - 404' and displays the document is not found. I tried to reinstall all the software even in the target, but of no use. I disabled my firewall too. No idea why this is happening?

  To do that you will need to change the varibles PID values and then use the sliders to add numbers to a latch for variables that point.

  This is how I think it works in Version 8.

  In all cases, you should move on to 12 more stable summer.

  In addition, unless that is a very slow process, I generally do not like closed loop PID with DASYLab due to the fact that computers is not reliable with timing.

• additional window on the façade

  My front panel has 4 large graphics should be exposed to my experiences at all times. However I have to add some fucntionalities, perhaps to change the voltage range,... get a trend of the previous information... (is still under development). I wanted to be able to click a button and a small window appears with this information, buttons, graphics... From what I've read in the forum may do with a sub - VI? What do you think? I'm not keen on the use of the tabs or scrolling to the bottom of the screen.

  I had a very similar problem. What I ended up doing puts my edit controls in a Subvi and then by creating a few buttons associated with a structure of the event.  The event was set up to look for a change in value of some buttons.  You place the Subvi in the event and do a right click on it and go to "Node Sub - VI settings". Select the options "Show Panel when called before" and "Close afterwords if initially closed.  In your sub - VI, set up a loop that has sort of a stop button. When you click the stop button, the VI would end and you will still have access to your original façade.

  I have a main façade with several Boolean button for example:

  N1-dncc-01

  N1-dncc-02

  N1-dncc-03

  -etc. And for each option, I event structure that calls the other program of labview in subgroup of experts.

  So now that my problem is when I pressed the button dncc-n1-01 its Boolean values should be passed to the program which I am calling the Sub-group of experts.

  So, it is possible? I tried with ref and property of node, but I failed. I guess that I am not on the correct path.

  There were some cases where the new indicator that I created was actually overlaps the other indicator which was hidden at the time of development.

  I knew only when the program is operating normally and the hidden indicator will appear on the front panel.

  It would be great if I can see all the elements of hidden façade while in development mode.

  Is there an easy way to do this or am I missing something?

  Hi all!

  I am new to the development complex applciation in labview and I want to ask if a normal façade can be used by a screen touch monitor o I need to develop an appropriate code to achieve this funcioton.

  I saw that there is a Toolbox for this (touchscreen Toolkit), but I'm not hot of course to use it.

  If you can use the PC with touchscreen (for example in windows to open applications), then you don't need to do something special to make it work in LabVIEW.

  When you use a web browser (on a system with only the TEN LabVIEW installed) to monitor a remote façade commissioned from a cRIO is a way to control which fonts are used by the browser when it displays the Panel?  In the case of a stand-alone executable, I know that you can include definitions of fonts associated with the executable 'appfont' and 'FPfont' in the INI file to control the fonts used by the executable. Is there something similar that can be done with a front panel running in a browser window?  Or do I go through the VI and explicitly define a non-generic font specific for each control and indicator that is displayed?

  I found a solution! -Set the size and position of the façade with the help of the

  File > VI properties > window running Position (in category list) > custom (in position of menu drop-down).

  then just accept the current position and size (leave the boxes checked) or set values you want directly (uncheck the boxes and fill in the numbers), or physically position and size the façade and use, the "set to current location" button and press "set size" current All that is easier for you.

  OK so it does not make use of the method VI Methods (Active X) FPRunTimePosRunCustom ([Position], [Size]) but if labview want to make him difficult to use then other means must be found.

  normally all my frontpanels use the apllication font. Now, we have mixed operating systems. Some are still using windows xp, the other windows 7. In windows 7, the standard application font has changed. Under my programs under windows 7 results in ugly frontpanels, according to the new standard application font.

  Y at - it an easy way to set the font for an entire façade. I don't want to score every text and change the font type.

  Press Ctrl + A (select all) and change the font. All the fonts selected style will arise.

  Someone told me a tool that would automatically resize your front panel for a façade decoration using the vi. This may have been something JKI but I don't remember. In any case, I looked everywhere and can't find what it was.

  As much as I know, that you can not. I think that the property ID of Style seems to indicate that information, but it is a read-only property.

  Variation: use two controls, one round and one square and hide/show you want.

  EDIT: I see Lynn has already suggested on two controls while I was writing my response.

  I'm relatively new to Labview so I'm not able to say if I'm overloading my programs or make my too crowded block diagram. I was wondering if there was some ways to tell if I can simplify my programming just by looking (perhaps only experience contributes to these things)?

  I enclose my VI here. Currently, she is able to monitor the voltage and current of two engines. On the screen, you can see an indicator with the voltage and current values and there are cards that can display signals of different engines with a menu drop-down.

  The façade is pretty clean, in my opinion of novice, but the block schema seems messy to me, just at the first glance. I foresee a problem occurring in the future however. In the future, I will have the VI to monitor 50 engines globally. All of the programming will be the same as the one I have now, but it will have 50 indicators and unfortunately 50 times just about everything. I would like to avoid this, but I don't know how I did.

  I use a USB-6009. I use its four differential inputs to monitor the voltage and current of the two engines. In the future, I will get more units DAQ (25 in total because 2 motors can be monitored for each data acquisition). The new Renault will help will help with more resource space, but I think things complicate with the added option of 24 more Assistants of data acquisition (as used in my code).

  Usually, it is above all the experience that will teach you the best methods for making your code to do pretty. I don't know anyone who is proud of his first application of claws. There are some resources out there to help with best practices, as that group on ni.com, but you will learn most of your own development.

  Your façade is superb. FPs in general really are to you. You can do it as ugly or pretty as you want. When you have a few controls in duplicate and the Group of indicators, you should use clusters and berries to simplify. You can use a bit of cleanup in this regard, but not much. In addition, I personally hate read red text unless it is a warning any.

  Your block diagram could use a little cleaning in a sense of modularity. You have a lot of repeated code, which you might consolidate in to a Subvi, which is used in multiple locations, or in a loop For. A general rule is to keep your block diagram within a single monitor. You should not scroll. Your application is quite simple, so it is difficult to BUMBLE

  Here are a few details on your block diagram:

  • Click with the right button on your devices on the block diagram and uncheck the "display as icon". You are welcome.
  • Operations on each waveform "(x*2-4)" / 16 in double ": create a Subvi and/or run the waveforms through a loop."
  • You do a lot of 2-element arrays and then indexing. Just replace the ones that have a Select node based on digital.
  • All your code runs every time, including the knots of your property at the bottom, which is not necessary. As you learn LabVIEW architectures, you will learn how to get around this with the initialization and the output of code, but for now, you should put a case around those structure for only when the engine numbers change.
  • I don't know how you're timing your main loop, but you should put a delay in there because you don't need the DAQmx node shoot as fast as your CPU will allow.
