Failed Bios Update. Acer 4752G.

Can someone report a complete Guide on how to fix this thing 'black screen' that happened to me during a bios update has failed. I did almost everything I saw on the net, except this. FD file that I don't know where to find. Please help me. TIA.

You are the very welcome and don't worry, this sort of thing isn't exactly the beginner level, and you are already good enough. You're right, you'd have the .fd and files in the ROM to the root of the USB stick. Remember that the Flash DRIVE must be formatted in FAT32. If it is NTFS it does not load (or it will, but it will install incorrectly again). It is easier to follow if you are using a USB key which has an activity light (lights when file transfer) so that when the real recovery begins, you will be able to tell. There is literally nothing on the screen until the installation ends, when you will hear a beep and the system will reboot (or stop). I hope it works for you.

Take care!

  • dv9500 failed BIOS update

Recently, I downloaded and installed the f.59 to update the BIOS on the HP site.

Once finished updating my system is now dead. Black screen, come the leds and the cd it makes a noise and then stops.

It seems that my BIOS is damaged or something. I tried the hard reset without help.

Is there a procedure to recover my system. I read on a disc of crisis but declined to check first here.

    Thank you

    Ron

Remove the power supply, remove the main battery, remove the memory and then remove the RTC battery for 15 minutes.

Format the cell room back in and connect the power supply only, see if it will show the HP screen, if he uses immediately F10 to enter the bios and set the date and time, save them changes to the output.

If it does not, start it power down, hold all 4 arrows down and it lights up everything now the keys for 2 ~ 3 seconds after power to the top, leave the keys and wait (2 ~ 3 minutes) to see if the bios retrieves. If you get the post HP screen, enter the bios and set the date and time before you boot into windows.

  • x 61 was updated the BIOS with 7nuj21us.exe Failed BIOS update utility

Only, I have restored my x 61 to the original settings due to a problem with the blue screens and decided to update the BIOS right afterwards.  I followed the directions precisely and installed all 21 of each component for this model.

I then turn off the computer and turned it back this morning to continue to load the software.  The system started with the fan running at high speed and stopped at the ThinkPad screen.  However, nothing happened after pressing the ThinkVantage button and F1 or another touches besides.  I left for a few hours, but finally determined that I could not turn off or do anything with the machine.  He just hung there.  I did finally remove the battery and replace it and now there is not able to record when the machine is connected and it does not start.

Is there something I can do to recover the system?  I suspect that the answer is a replacement of the Commission.  The update of the BIOS was not at the same time with something on my computer.  I have just 2 years in the warranty period at the United States, so if I need to replace the card, what are the best options?

Thanks for your help and comments... it is a very frustrating twist, because this is my work machine.

    Dmtrich,

Certainly, we can download and system flash here, just to be safe.

I'm sorry that you have had this problem, I sent you a PM and email and we can follow up there to work through your specific.  Please let us know your concerns!

Unfortunately, in your case only the ASP can help you.

Does your BIOS update fails and only the ASP can update the ROM module damaged by using a special version of the BIOS

So, don t waste time and ask the ASP in your country to help.

    Hello

Have you used the good BIOS?
I recommend you to check the serial number that is placed at the bottom of the unit.
The first 5 digits and characters are important.
Then compare it on the page of the Toshiba driver and use the good BIOS!

Please note that bad BIOS or bad BIOS update process can damage the laptop. I would recommend so double check the BIOS version prior to execution.

  • Tecra M4 - BIOS update fails

I'm updating my M4 with the Toshiba BIOS provided for support of Windows Vista. It can be found here: http://www.csdsupport.toshiba.com/tais/csd/support/windows_vista/vista_beta.cgi?lsAction=list_files&model_id=1

However, the update process fails. I can unzip the file downloaded to a file, but then fails it to process with a generic-looking message "install2 has encountered a problem and needs to close."

My M4 is currently leading the BIOS version 1.70, 14/02/2006.

Any ideas? Maybe is there a way I can do an update of the traditional BIOS with the new file?

Be careful with the BIOS updates. I put t know where you bought your Tecra but you try to install the update BIOS, designed for the laptop models in the United States.

If you have European mobile phone use just updates BIOS you will find under http://eu.computers.toshiba-europe.com > support & downloads.

  • Satellite L755-S5349 - BIOS update failed - black screen

    Hello.

So yesterday, I got a Toshiba pop-up message to update my BIOS, so I clicked it and it started to update but then it says "error checking".

So I closed it, cause I had to restart my computer after one previous update with another program and I thought to try to update the BIOS after you restart.

But once it restarted it is off, so I tried to put back market but the screen is black, lights are immediately (food, batt etc.) and the fan works just as well. I tried to take the battery out and in again but screen remains black.

Could someone please tell me what you think it might be and what I have to do.

I also tried with a HDMI, but it does not recognize.

    Thank you for your help

    Hello

I think I have bad news for you.
To me, it seems that the update of the BIOS didn't
Why? Who knows maybe that some applications that runs in the background affected the BIOS update process.

I've updated the BIOS on my laptop last night, everything went well. First, I downloaded the BIOS package from the Toshiba page. Then I unzipped the folder.
I closed all applications that looked like Firewall, antivirus etc software
Then I did the BIOS update

At least in cases where the BIOS update failed, you must get in touch with a local ASP Toshiba in order to solve this problem in the best of cases they need to update the module ROM again

    Good luck

Go to your Support page and download & save the update of the BIOS. Once the download is complete. Double-click it to run it.

Do not use the Scan option on the page_scroll to the bottom of the list and get the update to the BIOS:

    Hi dude

    That s a pity :(
The update of the BIOS is always a tricky process and there is always a small piece of risk.
Usually, if the BIOS update has failed then you need a help of a technician of the ASP.

The point is that you would need an update of the traditional BIOS to reflash the chip for the BIOS again.
But the Toshiba driver page provides only the victory of the BIOS which can be updated only from Windows OS-based.

Therefore, you will need to contact a local ASP which might help you.

    Dude good luck

You unzip the package to update the BIOS first?
It is very important that the BIOS package will be unpacked first.

Then, you can update the BIOS the winflash.exe execution.
