  I have windows XP media center edition 2005 and are unable to install 2 mass effect. After some installation, it says: failed installation.   I had to take a multiple step approach:
  • created a new admin user account
  • connected to this account
  • turn off all apps "run at startup".
  • disabled the Norton 360 firewall
  • restarted
  Windows 8 Pro upgrade in place installation finally occurred.

  I have problems installing to After Effects. Can someone give me advice on how to fix the error? I tried to install After Effects in my cloud of Adobe creative. However, whenever I tried, always failed installation and information said that it is because of error 147 as shown below.

  Exactly the error message as follows:

  I solved this by doing the following:

  > Install Adobe Creative Cloud

  > Delete the directory C:\Program Files (x 86) of \Common Files\Adobe\caps

  > Delete the directory C:\Program Files (x 86) of \Common Files\Adobe\OOBE

  >R einstalling Adobe Application Manager.

  According to the newspapers, I had problems with the media_db.db file that is located in the directory of caps.  Removal that does not solve it however, so I tried to reinstall the AAM.  Who had problems replacing the OOBE directory, so I deleted that too.  Then the things installed smoothly.  None of this worked until I also have installed however CCA.

  I hope I saved someone a few hours!

  I unplugged the drive N, that is our network drive. (Don't know why Acrobat tries to access this drive - no other applications only.)

  Anyway, even with disconnected N the app still will not install.

  I installed Enterprise Linux version 5 Update 2 for x 86 (32 bit) on my Vmware Virtaul oracle machine electronically supplied. When I try to install Oracle Database 10 g Release 2 (10.2.0.1.0) for Linux x 86, after you run the runInstaller, I get the following error.

I don't have no idea for what purpose the CD remains 4 and 5. do I need to install separately from 4 and 5 from the CD. Is that what the problem of the failed installation orcle DB or is there a proprietary database that I need to download for Enterprise Linux version 5 Update 2 for x 86 (32 bit).

  Do not go further if xclock command does not show you the analog clock.

  Running Windows 7 Ultimate 64 bit. Never had a problem installing Microsoft programs before. Tried to install Microsoft "Windows Xp Mode". I get error information "update installation failed' 0 x 80070002 when trying to install the validation tool. Otherwise all my Windows updates were installed without problem.

  Attended a local help for 80070002 error. Clean up the directory "temp". Same error, did not help.

  InPlace upgrade performs a repair facility that will repair the current installation of Windows to the version of the installation DVD.

  Note Run a repair installation will not damage files and applications that are currently installed on your computer.

  To perform a repair installation of Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2, follow these steps:

  1. Close all running applications.
  2. Insert the Windows Vista, Windows Server 2008, Windows 7 or Windows Server 2008 R2 DVD into the DVD drive of the computer.
  3. In the settings window, click install now.

     Note If Windows does not automatically detect the DVD, follow these steps:

     1. Click Start

        , and then type Drive : \setup.exe in the box to start the search .

        Note The Drive placeholder is the drive letter of the computer's DVD.

     2. In the list of programs , click Setup.exe.
     3. In the settings window, click install now.
  4. Click connect to get the latest updates for installation (recommended).
  5. Type the CD key if you are prompted to do so.
  6. In the "Windows Installer" page select the operating system you wantto update orInplace.
  7. Click Yes to accept the Microsoft software license agreement.
  8. On the which type of installation you want? of the screen, clickupgrade.
  9. When the installation is complete, restart your computer and try again to install updates.

  If your PC is OEM that his pain, because you can only use recovery CD to restore the original state, which means that you must back up all data before restoring.
