  I need to install Adobe Digital Editions (ADE) 2.0 so I can download books for Nook my daughter of our municipal library.

  I tried to install 2.0 ADE much too often absolutely nothing works.  After downloading the 2.0 installer ADE, I tried installing with software of Norton antivirus and firewall disabled, enabled, try to restart my computer after a ADE 2.0 installed with protection against viruses and the and every time I tried to do anything with the 2.0 ADE supposed to be installed, it crashes and Microsoft opens its window mail error because ADE 2.0 has encountered a problem.

  On one or two occasions I also received this error message:

  Digital Editions.exe - error of installation at '0x8514c483' referenced memory at '0x8514c483 '.  The memory could not be "read".  Click 'ok' to complete the program.

  I also re-downloaded the Setup program several times under different anti virus software for operating scenarios (software enabled, etc.) and each time after the installation is complete, the program crashes.  Whenever an installation attempt failed, I uninstalled the program and went through a complete installation of ADE 2.0.  Sometimes even using the same install program and also after re - download the 2.0 ADE install program.  Everything I tried failed.

  I'm also using an old Windows XP PC, but despite being a relatively old computer, this challenge of installation and initialization should not happen.

  Short of finding a copy of version 1.7 of the ADE and see if it will work (has been suggested by sjgt user when replying to a post by su-share on 26 Dec at 0358), does anyone have any suggestions?  This shouldn't be such a challenge.  THX

  I have just run into a similar problem with new Nook HD my mother for her books, she retired through the library. However, we found that B & N has available through their site for free applications for libraries using Overdrive Media Software Console and libraries who use the library of cloud M 3. All you have to do is download these free applications to be able to download directly from your library website in your corner.

  Once you have downloaded the correct application for your local library, you can access the app with all of your other applications. Within the app, it's self is where you can find books from your library. My mother was so excited to know we could do this. She is good with a computer, but it takes some time to learn how to do the transfers of file/drag & drop, for a direct download or available is a very big relief of his not having only not learning something new and complicated.

  I just discovered a solution, well, it worked for me.

  I found it in an old post on an earlier version of digital editions.

  In it, the user has said he was missing in his Adobe ID several times and changed various aspects of his account, title, password etc.

  It does not work after the first change, but he did after a few.

  So I changed my password twice, allowed Adobe to monitor the use of the table and added a second email for verification.

  It worked and I was able to authorize my computer with the new Adobe ID.

  No one seems to answer these questions but I managed a partial solution to myself: my computer had been registered without an Adobe ID it was necessary to disable this Id by typing Ctrl-Shift-D. Then I could activate my old ID (email address) and password.

  This allowed me to download another book and then transfer it into my corner. The ebooks that I had downloaded earlier but not able to copy were not always available because they had been downloaded on my previous, incomplete activation. I deleted these and I must now wait expires them in 20 days before I can download them again at my new activation Adobe ID.

  However, I can now download new books.

  Frustrating and annoying that there is no support for this product and no other alternative. Maybe someone else knows a?

  The following workaround solution allows you to install Adobe Digital Editions 2.0 on Windows Vista.

  • Download the installer from http://www.adobe.com/products/digital-editions/download.html.

  • Choose to save the installation files in a directory on your hard drive.

  • Go to the save location, right click on ADE_2.0_Installer.exe and select Properties.

  • On the general tab, click Unblock next to the security.

    
    

  • Click OK to apply the changes and close the Properties window.

  • Double-click on the ADE_2.0_Installer.exe to start the installation process.

  As an alternative, you can follow the cannot install Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 software to download and install the Adobe Digital Editions 1.7.2 software.

• Book of EPUP not opening not in digital editions

  I have installed digital editions on my Tablet android (JAY-tech) and it has worked before. Now it is just open new e-books, which I downloaded. It opens on my computer of windos, but weather I download from the library page oder transfer the download from my computer to the Tablet, it will not appear in the digital edtitions. I can click on download and digital edition opens, but it does not show the book, evenso sound in the same library as those that I have opend before. I tried opening and closing the app, reboot of the Tablet, different downloads nothing works. I do not understand and I do not know what else to. Can someone please?

  Did you open the eBooks without allowing? If so eBooks are related to this authoirze emty.

  To solve the problem:
  Start Digital Edition on your computer.

  CTRL + SHIFT + D.

  Accept that you want to delete allow it.
  Then reauthorize.

  But you don't want can open new ebooks that has open with empty authoirze.

  You only need Adobe ID. The others are for other IDS, and in most cases you do not need.
  Try to right click on the digital edition and run as admin. Then try to re-enter the data.
