Failed to load Service Pack 1

I have an old XP computer I want to give to a college student, but he is slow so I reformatted the drive and reloaded original XP software.  I had planned to charge all service packs to make it current.  When you try to load the Service pack 1, I get an error message "the server has failed", while he was at the point of reloading that says "connection to http://xpSP1.microsoft.com/isapi/pstream3.dll/xp/SP1.USA.1106a. any ideas what's happening?  All load very well with the operatinging system and the Service Pack started to load ok until it got to this point?  Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.  Thank you, Jesse Penn

If you insist on installing SP1a try here instead: http://www.microsoft.com/download/en/details.aspx?displaylang=en&id=19751

You do not need to install SP1a service pack, simply install SP2 then SP3.
