  I have a model extreme A1521 airport and a model express airport A1392 and upgraded my OS to El Capitan. I want to use the express as an Extender for the extreme because my old House is long and has thick walls.   It would be much better if you could connect the Express to the extreme by using wired Ethernet wired, permanent, since there is no loss of signal via the Ethernet cable and there is always a lot of loss of signal through the air, the (thick walls especially) walls, ceilings, etc.

  I have a firmware running extreme Airport 7.6.7. 6.3.6 and one Airport utility Terminal Airport Express (model A1392). I have access to my system on a Macbook pro. Also have the app on my iPhone.

  My Airport Express and extreme talked to each other and have been broadcast on the Airport utility. However, I had to change my wifi password and the network password. After that, the Airport extreme restarted. After the reboot, my Express was no longer recognized by my network. The Express has a light orange and blinks repeatedly. I can't connect to the express to address the issue of amber light.

  I have read many posts on the forum. However, I still have to find a solution. How to connect the airport utility to the Airport express?

  You have changed the password for WiFi on AirPort Extreme... but... the AirPort Express Terminal was previously programmed to connect by using your password in the "old".  The Express is lost, unable to find the network at all and doesn't know what to do.

  You can help the AirPort Express by doing a hard reset on the AirPort Express to clear the old network settings and passwords, and then configure the Express again to connect to your network 'nine' with the 'new' password.

  Let's first check and make sure that on which Airport Express version you have.

  I think that you wanted to say that you have a Time Capsule that produces the signal of your wireless network, correct? (Time Machine is a software on your Mac used to back up the Mac on another hard drive).

  Actually, no. Connect a non-AirPrint printer to the USB port on the base station will NOT make it capable AirPrint. In order to print from a device iOS on this printer, you need to a third party (such as the Printopia) application running on a Mac.

  I have a speaker and I would empower AirPlay for it. I have an old airport express here in my house and I wanted to plug my express from the airport to my wireless network and allow the airplay.

  Yes, if you have the main router near the speakers... then simply plug the Express into the enclosure of the ethernet... Run it in Bridge mode and turn off wireless... Then check if you can find it in iTunes etc to send the stream of airtime.

  Or you can configure it to join a wireless network... it will not extend... Apple call it client mode.
