  • I have a problem with the administrator account.

Original title: administrator account is down: no-show to secure boot, will not take password (no defined) to allow facilities. What now?

I am the only user on my PC Windows 7 Home Premium and have been using it until as recently as an administrator. After learning that it was better to use a standard-privileges account yesterday, I went to the user accounts and brought a few changes, which I am not convinced that I remember exactly, but which provided for the creation of a new account administrator called "Administrator", giving this account a profile picture and changing my personal account with standard privileges. I may have set the password of the new account to be the same as the former, or may not have specified a password, but I know that I didn't not create a new password. Anyway, now I can't do anything that requires administrator privileges.  When the window opens to allow an action preferred by logging in as 'Administrator', or my old password or all simply hit the "Enter" button works. I know that this is the administrator account, I created, because there the thumbnail profile photo that I assigned to him. A used computer scientist Ophcrack successfully, which correctly specified the password of my account now-standard and said that the password of the administrator account was nothing. The newspaper in the boot prompt, administrator does not appear as an option in profile, and it does not appear in the start Mode menu safe either.  The situation is desperate now? What can I do? Thanks for any help!

When changes to an administrator account, then the safe way goes like this:

    1. Create, test, and document an admin account to spare, even you have a spare House key.
    2. Change your normal administrator account according to your needs.
If you don't take these precautions, then you can do this:
    1. Use your repair Windows CD to start the machine in Repair Mode.
    2. Use system restore to set Windows to a point before you did what you did.
  • Satellite P200-140: cannot install software on Vista with the administrator account

    Hello

just bought a new P200-140 Sat with windows vista at home, but I cannot load the software on the computer.

I'm in administrator mode and when I am trying to load the software I get an error message saying "can only load software as an administrator of disconnection and reconnection as Administrator", but the problem is that I am the administrator.
    can anyone help

    Hello

Are you sure that the admin account has been activated and you are connected with the admin rights 1005?

I asked because the administrator in Vista OS account is disabled by default.
Why? Well, it's an idea to Microsoft ;) and I think that the user must often work with limited rights.
But if you want to enable this account you can do the following:

    -Right-click on the computer
    -manage
    -users and groups
    -double click on administrator
-Remove the brand to deactivate account

After this procedure you can connect to the Vista operating system as an administrator.

I hope that these tips will help you.

    Good luck

    OS: CentOS 5.5

I can't log in with the user SYS via PL/SQL Developer. I get the message: ORA-01031: insufficient privileges. PL/SQL Developer is installed on Windows 7 Professional. Version of the Oracle Client is 11.2.0.1.0. However, I connect successfully with SYSMAN and SYSTEM.
For those who may wonder if I try to connect 'as sysdba' when I use the SYS user, the answer is YES, I do.
In addition, I think that the name of the tool (PL/SQL Developer) does not matter because I think I'm going to face the same error with any other tool (but I mentioned just in case).

Server side, I have no problem with the SYS user. I can connect via SQLPlus with connect / as sysdba or connect "virtue sysdba" without fault.

    SQLNET.AUTHENTICATION_SERVICES= (NTS)

    NAMES.DIRECTORY_PATH= (TNSNAMES, EZCONNECT)
I read in this forum (another thread) on the use of a password file. I created a password file using orapwd this way:
    orapwd file=orapwDB11G2 entries=100 ignorecase=y password=a_password
where I replaced "a_password" with the SYS password.

In fact, I'm not sure that the customer is influenced by the file password anyway because I said to use a local naming.

    Clues?

    Thank you very much!

So your ORACLE_SID is planet but not DB11G2 , second password file must be located in $ORACLE_HOME/dbs location if you want to connect the planet of database/sid and therefore

    orapwd file= $ORACLE_HOME/dbs/orapwplanet password=syspass

    Then try again.

  • Something wrong with the administrator?

OK, so when I try to go on my computer as an administrator, it works very well for about 3-5 minutes. But after that, I can't use Ctrl + Alt + Delete, whenever I try to open the Internet, either Chrome or IE, it acts like it's going to open it, but not after 10 seconds. Also, when I try to go in Control Panel configuration, or any other document on my computer, it opens then freezes when I try to view another page, or even close. Now indicated previously I can't use Ctrl + Alt + Delete. What happens when I do, it displays an error message (cannot think of it at the top of my head) and gives me an option to press ok, that brings back me to my office.

After all that, however, when I go into safe mode and change my Admin user status, for the standard user. Everything works the same, apart from the fact that I can't do things admins can do without a password. In fact, this is how I'm typing this, as a Standard user. If anyone can shed some light on the situation I would be very happy. The only thing I could think is that MSE has found a virus on my computer, but quarantined it. I could not remove without being in safe mode. Any help at all would be greatly appreciated! Thank you
    -Joseph

    Hi Joseph,.

Thank you for giving us the opportunity to answer your question of Windows.

I see that you are facing problems with the administrator account.

The standard user account works fine.

    Method 1:

You can run Windows Defender Offline tool.

    Note:
The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.

    Method 2:

Try the SFC (System File Checker) scan on the computer.

SFC/scannow is a very useful command that you can use in any version of Windows. When the SFC (System File Checker) command is used with the/scannow switch, the tool analyzes all the important files of Windows on your computer and replace if necessary.

Missing and the corruption of the operating system (like many DLLs) files are probably the main cause of the major problems of Windows. In view of this, plus the fact that the SFC/scannow is completely automatic and very easy to use, the tool should be usually one of your top not troubleshooting.

I suggest to create a new admin account and check if the problem persists, follow the link:

Step 1: Create a new user account.

    http://Windows.Microsoft.com/en-us/Windows7/create-a-user-account

Step 2: If the problem does not persist in the new user account, and then copy the files from the existing to the new; profile Follow the link to do this:

  • Problems with the parental control on the administrator account.

Never use us the 'administrator' account as I have not configured any other account (it was unnecessary since there are no children in the House).  Whenever I try to download a game, I have problems.  It will finish the download, but as soon as I try to start the game, it gives me an error message saying 'parental controls have prevented this application to run.  I don't know why it gives this error and won't let me in the game, since I'm on the administrator account and it wont let me make changes to parental controls for the administrator account.  Anyone know what is the problem and how can I solve this problem?  Thank you!!!

Try to create another administrator account, and then connect to that account and try to change or disable the parental control for the administrator account.  I don't know if it will work, but it's worth a try.

I hope this helps.  If this isn't the case, after return and we will try something else.

I know that there is an account on my computer called Administrator. I know because when I type NET USER in CMD it gives me an account named Administrator. When I type in NET USER ADMINISTRATOR cmd, I get: active account number how can I activate this account?

Given that the account is already active, you will not have to activate it. Anyway, you can type
NET user administrator / Active: Yes
When you are connected under an administrator account. Note that by using the administrator account gives you exactly the same privileges as any other admin account. There is no difference.

    Hello.

    Windows 7 Home Premium

Somehow my "guest" account that you can toggle is administrator.
my other 'Ordinary' user is a standard user and I can't do the promotion.
Because this "guest" account is Administrator I can't ' create new accounts / change accounts / disable comments / CMD refuse orders. "
"I don't have the"windows drive"so there is no need to restore my windows / safe mode does not help either.

I read a thousand threats and issues on this topic but nothing helped me.

    Help, please!

to be honest I don't know if the administrator account is enabled.

You have fallen into a popular trap, the trap of not plan and create an alternative emergency admin account, even if you have a spare emergency House key. It's now cause you a lot of grief. If the problem occurred recently, then you can resolve as follows:

    1. Use your repair Windows CD to start the machine in Repair Mode.
    2. Invoke the system restore to configure Windows to a point before the problem occurred.
    3. Plan in advance and create, test, and document this absolutely essential spare admin account.
If this does not work then send me a note (pegasusDOTfnlATgmailDOTcom).
  • XP has changed the user accounts is now impossible to access the administrator account

Something has gone wrong when changing my user accounts. I don't have an administrator account can create a. I can't even restore my system. It doesn't let me do anything! What to do Help!

You use the built-in account named "Administrator"?  If so, the behavior you describe is "a feature, not a bug."

Windows XP hidden administrator account when a user account is created (because it's a good idea not to use administrator systematically; it should be saved for emergencies).

You access the administrator account integrated differently depending on whether you have XP Home or XP Pro.

    For XP Home:

You must restart in Mode without failure.  Restart the computer and start typing the F8 key as soon as the initial startup process is finished.  If you see the Windows logo, you waited too long and you have to restart again.   If you do it right, you will see the white Advance Boot Options menu on black (image).  Use the up/down arrows and the Enter key to select Mode safe because your mouse does not work on this screen.  Once the computer starts in Mode safe mode, the administrator account will appear on the Welcome screen.  If you have not changed the password, the password is blank (no password).

    For XP Pro:

Follow the signs for XP Home Edition, or in the Welcome screen, with no logged-in user, press CTRL + ALT + DELETE twice.  The 'classic' logon box will appear.  Type "Administrator" (without the quotes).  Once again, the default password is empty.

Once you enter the administrator account, create an account with "computer administrator" privileges for occasions when you need (for example, to run the system restore or create accounts).  You can use any name you want (other than Administrator), such as MyAdmin.
