Failure to scan HP CLJ CM4730 MFP 30.01.34

I have one of these with failure scanner error 30.01.34 as well as some mistakes of fan... 57.03 57.06 57.7. One of our IT guys replaced the trainer and the LVPS. No help. The 30.01.34 error does not appear in the maintenance manual, but it seems that the only thing in common with errors is the DC controller... Engine test button does nothing, the device does not print. Anyone got any suggestions? (other that pass on to the next guy)

At the time current diagnoses is not possible, so if I had thoughts that I would at least try spec it.

Remove the cartridges, belt, trainer, fuser, also remove the connection to the Scanner and ADF so I got just the print engine.

See if I get any sign of life to the power upward, if you are fans of spin for example then you have the DC controller is probably working signs.

If not then at least I know that I would be on the base engine failures and would probably be cut as much as possible see what I can do to make it live.

The reason to take the fuser out, the LVPS will continue to fuel the fuser so if she has a defect, it could cause low voltage to trigger.

I would watch just for the spark of life that says he could be alive then work outward.

  • Failure to scan on a brand-new 8620 OfficeJet Pro

    Hello

I have a brand new 8620 Officejet Pro and use OS X v10.9 & use a laptop wireless and desktop via USB.

On both final set-up print without any problem at all but when I try to copy, scan or something by fax printers touch screen comes up with "Scanner failure - cannot copy, scan, or use the fax". As a result, if I open the HP utility it says "device status: scan unknown error".

I've uninstalled and reinstalled all software printer 4 times - twice by using the internet and twice using set up disk & each time the same result as above.

I used the online help guide and followed all the solutions, but all without success.

Anyone can offer any additional help please or is their real fault with it & the printer needs to be replaced

    Thank you very much

    Welcome to the @Stratford_HP forums

I read about how your new Officejet 8620 shows you a failure "Scanner", leaving you unable to copy, fax and scan. I'm here to offer my suggestion and comments for this question.

Try the steps in this guide for failures to scan first, and if the problem is still apparent, I suggest to call HP to inquire about a replacement printer.

A "Failure of the Scanner" Message appears on the all-in-one control panel and you can not scan, copy, or fax

  • CLJ CM4540 MFP problems

I'm working on a CLJ CM4540 MFP that turned to mush!  Initially as being very noisy when printing, but it did print without any other problems.  I replaced the main bearing and four engines (not something for the faint of heart!).  After finding several connectors that I had left disconnected, he started having some 51.00.19; 51.00.22; 51.00.23 errors, asking all about laser assemblies.  I made sure that the cables going to the lasers have been correctly connected but no change.  Tried a new controller DC Council because it is a common point for lasers (and just about everything else too) without modification.  Tried reloading the firmware without change.  I'm starting to lean towards putting the former main drive assembly into the printer to see if this could be the cause, although I don't know how it could be.  I get also get 99.05.56 errors intermittently (Firmware not loaded correctly) and 30.01.49 (Scanner not powered).

    Any thoughts on a cause?

Well, I finally fixed!  I put the hand in the car with the dc controller.  Still no go, control panel lights up but no noise motor or fan noise.  Do you have a few power checks and I got voltage going to the Formatter Board, but almost nowhere else!  I replaced the LVPS to solve the problem.

I'm scanning with my MFP HP LaserJet Pro M127fw and when I press 'Apps' he only says: 'connection' and the clock starts to turn and nothing happens. I tried to reinstall the boot with no improvement drive. Can anyone help please?

    Thank you.

    Hi Marisa,.

You can use this tool to install the latest version of the firmware from a Mac computer:

    http://support.HP.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/swdetails/HP-LaserJet-Pro-MFP-M127-series/5396666/model/5303419/swItemId/IM-169335-1

Please note that the printer must be installed via a USB only connection, make sure to temporarily connect a USB cable in order to update the printer.

Making such a through a wireless connection may fail and may damage the printer and so should not be done.

  • 225dw MFP: scanning with HP LaserJet MFP M225dw Pro

How can I get the 222dw MFP scanning via direct USB connection on the printer.  He seems to want to work through the network. Printing works fine, but it won't scan.

USB cable is fine, the printing, scanning simply do not.  Past 1/2 hour with HP technical support (it is hard to find, but once you do, they are useful), install the drivers somehow could not install the scan driver, did that, now the digitization of works.

    Thank you!

  • HP LaserJet MFP M425dw 400: Cannot scan more of the MFP

Hi - I can no longer 'push' a scan of my on the MFP control panel a network location

The MFP control panel simply shows a yellow Triangle and "scan was unsucccessful - try again.

I can scan always from the control panel of the MFP printer on a local USB, and

I can 'pull' a scan of the MFP, to my PC (Windows 10), using the HP scanning application that drives the solution v15188 full pc, installed on my PC

I have rebooted the MFP, changed the cable network and same re-flashed the MFP firmware

Any ideas what to try next?

    He solved it myself!

I went into the settings of the MFP and assign another (different) static IP address, and while I was there, I spotted a Security menu option to reset 802.11 - so I don't

I then rebooted the MFP and changed the IP address of the printer back to what it was, and

now scan ok work both ways

    Hi @scg117,

    Welcome to the HP Forums!

I noticed your post about how you can't scan with your MFP HP Laserjet Pro 177fw on your Mac. And I'm happy to discuss this issue scan for you!

To confirm that the hardware of the printer is functional, you are able to make a copy with the glass of the scanner of the printer?

    To copy:

    1. load the document on the scanner glass according to the indicators on the product.

    2. close the scanner.

    3. on the product control panel, press the button number of Copies.

    4. Select the number of copies.

    5. press the black start copy button or the button color launch copy to start copying.

Let me know if it works, or if you see another error message.

If the copy works, then try the steps described in this guide, Scanner USB connection is lost (Mac).

  • Scan to E-mail MFP budget

Could someone suggest a multifunction print device priced with a good stand-alone Scan to e-mail feature? For practical reasons, it is quite difficult to test several models. In general, there is no excessive use, so no robust device is necessary.

I think the feature is General on most of the MFP-s, but I'm looking for a model that could also function as a standalone network device or use less resources PC without the need of additional human interaction (and not the option that comes to open the attachment in the computer hosts Outlook or another email client).

SMTP could be used as a post Office Protocol, Exchange probably also works. Any suggestions?

    Thanks in advance!

    Hello

If you are looking for an ink jet printer the HP Officejet Pro 8600 Plus (N911g) can meet your needs, it provides a direct scan to your e-mail via SMTP:

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?OID=4323650&JumpID=oc_r1002_usen_c-001_r0002

If you prefer a laser device you can check M276nw which provide similar functionality (as well using SMTP only):

    http://WWW8.HP.com/us/en/products/printers/product-detail.html?OID=5097655&JumpID=oc_r1002_usen_c-001_r0001

The products above are all models of consumption... There are some business models that provide such functionality as well, but doesn't support SMTP as well (the M375nw as an example, costs about $ 600)... Exchange is only provided by business models the top end, but the price will be higher...

  • Specify the device during the scan over network (HP1212nf MFP)

    Hello

We are a small business owner and newly installed 3 HP1212nf MFP printer on the network, all my clients PC have at least two printers installed as backup to another. All is well as far as printing is concerned, but I have a problem with scanning. There is no other choice, I could well to select the specific device when scanning the document. the HP software named "scan to" default is by scanning the 1st device installed on any PC. is it possible to select a specific device during the scan on the network?

    OS: Win 7 and XP

    Thank you in advance.

    Hi Aquariens,

After test, I found that the scan to application doesn't have the ability to designate between same model printers. This is normal on this printer laserjet consumer software.

  • Scanning with HP 1536dnf MFP in Yosemite

Our office uses a MFP from HP 1536dnf for scanning and printing.  In the past, I was able to connect wirelessly to the device using my MacBook Air both print and scan using the HP software.  Today, HP Scan says that the printer is "unavailable".  I can always print wireless.

Last week, I upgraded my OS to Yosemite.  What is the likely cause of the problem?  Is the work around posted here (http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04467713 the only solution?  (EDIT: tried that, none of them does not seem to work - Mac does not recognize the device as a scanner - at least not wireless.)

    Hello

Currently, it is the only solution available for OS X Yosemite,

First go to Applications > Hewlett-Packard and follow the option Unisntall, older drivers can prebent obtain current drivers.

Once you are done restart your Mac and add the printer in Printers & Scanners.

Finally, click on the Apple icon and select software update.

Click the Store menu and then reload the Page to see the latest updates, don't forget to install any update HP or Apple listed and try to scan the image through Image Capture.

Please let me know if this is useful,

    Hello

It seems to be a problem with scan transport which does not caliberated.

Try to connect the printer to a different wall outlet (for testing purposes only). Also ensure that the printer must not be connected through extension / surge protector.

If the problem persists, the printer need to be REPAIRED.

  • Failure to scan

    I have an HP Officejet 7310 all-in-One.

After that he turned on about every 13 seconds, it makes a noise as it tries to settle or something and gets an error message "Scanner failure Cycle power and try to scan the image."  I have to turn it off and try again and again.  I can't fax and sometimes cannot print unless I do it fast.

    Someone had this problem?

Most likely the lamp in the scanner died or is going out in the Officejet 7310 from your description.  There is a document from HP for troubleshooting an error code scan on the front panel of the Officejet 7310.

Click here to access the document Scanner failure.

Let me know how it goes.
