False issues action Center
Currently my Windows Action Center shows my Virus Protection and firewall off which are both wrong. I have run Norton 2010 and it works very well. When I open the Action Center and click on ' turn on ' it opens Norton but does not remove the question of the Action Center.
Everything is up-to-date and I didn't have this problem in the first place, so I'm prosuming there is a problem with a recent installation. I installed Adobe CS4 on a trial a couple of days, but after a reboot, the problem was not there. When I turned my system on last night, it appeared and I can't solve.
Except that the only thing that I have installed are games, any help would be appreciated
See you soon
Aslong as my system is safe it's all I'm really worried, I was just trying to solve an irritating problem ;)
I am not very computer savvy, but I had this problem and will provide what I can. Since 7 September, I've been having repeated, very random questions from my computer to freeze. I have to force close down to reboot. It happens the same way every time, where sound begins to hum and the slider's been hanging around, and it freezes completely. What happened 9 times the date, the last being only 30 minutes ago. I tried to update everything possible I can drivers for windows updated. I play every day an MMO and tried swapping game pads in case it could have been the cause, but it has not fixed. I have been able to reduce it to scroll to the bottom of Web pages that are strong images and it begins to freeze, and I am currently using Firefox. I couldn't find anything in case the system log of the observer who matched each gel, except once with that I think that the Action Center was looking for a problem and he came:
Problem: Video hardware error
Files helping to describe the problem:
SysData.XML WD-20141002 - 1521.dmp
I've done checks of viruses, malware, RAM test, even taken in a computer store to identify the problem and everything came back with no results. I'm at a loss where to go next, or what to try.

I currently have two monitors, ASUS, but these if overwrite problems began before I had two monitors so I ruled that out.
Edit: Nothing else seems to be wrong, it restarts normally and worked quite well other than the gel.
Update the drivers for the chipset of your motherboard site and get the latest drivers for your graphics machine
Do NOT use windows update to recommended, which includes drivers
If the problem repeats itself then clean boot PC & retest
I replaced the battery on my laptop Toshiba A660-15J and a few months, is back with the battery high capacity and now Action Center 7 win keeps popping up with the message that I need to download and install the missing driver for power management system.
The power supply has been replaced not at all, nothing has changed, except for the battery.
Costs of light on the functions of the laptop, as it did before the battery change.
It turns on and is red and after a few hours, it becomes white and the battery level shows that it is 100%
The problem is that this center of windows 7 says that missing one driver ACER? -> WTF?
The link to download it from DOES NOT
It seems odd that the link that windows provides its on a site of acer, but since part´s manufacturers other´s manufacturers use it does not at all surprise me.
I want just the clarification and confirmation of what I have to do here, and why to toshiba Service does not show this update?
I read that the BIOS update can fix this, however there is NO bios update for my laptop.
I have also contacted MICRO$ OFT but I'm still waiting for a response from them.
I also read other messages on various toshiba forums that relate to this same problem, but they used to say that the model is not supported by toshiba in this country...
I clicked on the link on this forum directly on the site of Toshiba Australia, so please do not tell me that my model is not supported on this forum of Toshiba Europe!
The exact message:
Download and install the driver for your power management system
Your power management system is missing a driver.
To resolve this issue, follow these steps:
Press or click on to download the driver of the A + c + e + r society Web site
Download and extract the driver files
Type and click on save or save as, and then save the file to your desktop. If you can t choose where to save the file, you will need to find and copy it to your desktop. When you download files, most of the web browsers save them in the folder to download on your computer.

Maybe that's the problem. The new battery is fully compatible?
Satellite A660/15J is an Australian mobile phone model.
Here, I found some accessories for this model:
Compatible battery are:
Toshiba battery (12 cells / 9000mAh / Li-ion / 10.8V) PA3819U-1BRS
Toshiba battery (6 cells / 5600mAh / Li-ion / 10.8V) PA3818U-1BRS
Spybot does not correctly... stop 58 times... I ran spybot and its seems to be good, no threat found... but sometimes Action Center to give me this message
Perhaps you should bring this issue to the Spybot forum.
This forum is for Microsoft Security Essentials.
Windows 7 Pro Action Center shows current backup permanently, even if it's not, I don't have a backup set and Backup and Restore cannot find a backup.
Why can't Microsoft find a solution to this problem with the network or the corrupted/missing files? My system works fine even with this problem of current backup. So, I learned to forget. But it would be nice if Microsoft would solve this problem.
Microsoft can and will fix the issue for you, but because it involves dircet contact with the troubled pc the only way to do it is through remote assistance. that is to call you Microsoft and allowing the tech Advisor take control of your pc directly. THS can lead however still other problems that not all advisers have the same stanard in cognition, (I'm talking about previous experiances). That's why I stated measures for any user to repiar this problem themselves in over the answer, but for some reason not to many are eager to make they perfer to ignore the help and just complian. the way I used overkill stages of difficulty was the following. 1. removal of devices connected, 2. back up the system and all the files, 3. Defragment os. 4, everthing unistall, which is the third part. 5, prepare an external hard drive for windows by labelling and re-formatting upward (note do not quick format). 6, clean, install windows 7 but use the options to format your drive first. 7, do not install anything just to configure windows 7 to your configuration (test performance and reliability monitor if all ok). 8, perform an upgrade and after what game action center full tuning IE levels all the recommended and send information to all users. and set performance and reliability thanks to (allow) windows firewall. 9, Center of action for perform a full upward and the image of the value system and set it to your external hard drive. 10, test of reliability and performance monitor, once everything is ok and the Action Center indicates that it is active and there is no problem, you are ready to reinstall all of your software for your backup you make early.
hope this helps

System and Security Action Center said my protection against viruses (Kapersky anti-virus) is disabled. When I clicked turn on now, he asks me if I want to trust this editor and run the program. I click Yes and nothing happens. I even restarted my computer and it is still saying Kapersky is off, but the program itself seems to work very well and is all updated. Is my computer just not aware that Kapersky is working or is there something wrong with my anti-virus.
Hello Kristi Lauer,
You can try the methods below to resolve this issue:
a. try to open Action Center > Security > programs see it installed the firewall and Antispyware.
b. you should get a drop-down list that indicates the status of each and the possibility to select the ones to use.
If this doesn't fix the problem, I suggest you reinstall the suite Kaspersky Internet Security and check if you have the same problem. You can uninstall the software in the list programs and reinstall. You can refer the link that will give you information about this below:
You can also ask your question on the Forums of Kaspersky. You can follow the link below to ask your question:
Irfan H, Engineer Support Microsoft Answers.
Hello, I meet real problems with my action center in my window 7 64-bit, SP1 computer.
I create a thread for this question because a lot of people have experienced a similar problem, but no clear solution has been explained.
My problem seems to double. My Center of the action (AC) appears to be generally defective.
I first noticed a problem when the captain reported that Microsoft Security Essentials has been disabled when, in fact, MSE has not been extinguished. It was working fine. See the image below.
I tried to solve this problem, in the end, to uninstall MSE.
I uninstalled MSE, then, I rebooted the computer.
When I rebooted and waited for notification of HQ to bring up the taskbar, which I expect to contain the same caveat as before, which would have been correct since I had uninstalled MSE, I was surprised to find that a problem has been detected. I open HQ and found that no warnings were reported. Even more concerning, I found that when I clicked the down arrow for "security", was missing several elements in the usual list - the "user account control--> on" and the "Network Access Protection--> Off" were given, but the "network firewall extra," "Windows Update", "virus protection", "Spyware and malware protection, ' and 'Internet security settings' were not indicated. They have not been reported in KT; they have nowhere to be seen.
Then, I have generated a system health report. The report states that "the Security Center has not registered an antivirus product." This report was right, because I had uninstalled MSE. The disturbing part is that, at this time, the AC has not been corresponding; It showed that the two issues mentioned above in the section 'security '.
I reinstalled MSE from Microsoft Web site. When I did this, AC poster correctly all the elements in the "Security" section, have reported that MSE has been activated.
Then I restarted my computer. When I rebooted, the same two warnings AC illustrated in the picture above popped up. MSE is running, but the captain reports that it is turned off. This report is incorrect.
Both warnings disappear from the AC and all the elements in the 'Security' section are displayed correctly if a new definitions file is downloaded for MSE or real-time protection is turned off and then turned back on again, but they reappear after restarting my computer.
How can I make the center of the action show the correct information, as it is supposed to, when my computer starts first?
What I did:
I already have:
- Verified that the WMI repository is consistent
- Run SFC - no issues found
- Run a fix on the Windows Firewall and Security Center
- Uninstalled and reinstalled MSE
None of these have solved this problem.
How can I get the action center working properly?
Please do not post generic recommendations or to take steps I have already taken.
Please do not hesitate to publish recommendations technically involved.
Your expertise is greatly appreciated.
I apologize for the delay. I have the answer. After "round and" round generic advice, I just decided to try some more specific actions.
If you experience this problem even and you want to fix it, you'll need a PC running the same version of Windows 7 that your PC works lot of work but it works without problems, with regard to this point.
Here's what I did to solve the problem:
- Create a system restore point.
- Run regedit.exe as administrator.
- Go to Center of HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Action.
- Compare the permissions and attributes of ownership of this key and all subkeys to your work PC.
- Change all permissions and property attributes for interest on the defective PC keys as they are the same as those on the operation of the PC.
- Go to HKLM Software Microsoft Security Center.
- Follow steps 4 and 5 for all keys and subkeys found in the path in step 6 above.
- Restart your faulty computer.
I hope this helps. It worked for me.
I noticed, that for a few days, I kept getting a message from the center of the action, my updates switch is turned off and I need to turn it on.
It didn't today, that I have now moved the center of the Action of the taskbar.
I would like to know what would cause this.
I would say, I have a few tools 10-bit, I need to uninstall.
No stress, but I would like to know why.
Thanks for posting your question on the forum of the Microsoft community.
I would like to know some information about the problem so that we can help you better.
1. what happens when you try to change the settings for Windows Update? You receive an error message?
2 don't you back up your files regularly?
I would suggest trying the following methods and check if it helps.
You can try to Change Action Center settings and check the issue.
Refer to this article:
How is the Action Center research problems?
If this does not help, then use method 2.
I suggest you to use security scanner Microsoft to check if the problem is caused by a virus or malware.
Microsoft safety scanner
Note: The data files that are infected must be cleaned only by removing the file completely, which means that there is a risk of data loss.
What is the center of the Action?
I hope this information helps.
Please let us know if you need more help.

Action Center says it has detected potentially harmful software and won't show me what it is or I solve Windows defender is to come clean and so security micro scan
Original title: Action Center
I recommend that you run Disk Cleanup or cCleaner to remove temporary files as this will reduce the time to scan security software.
Start the computer in safe mode with network and download and install Malwarebytes (free version for individuals only), updated definitions and run in normal mode. Disable other security software while you do the analyses.
Download and run SuperAntiSpyware (Free Edition)
In the windows 7 Action Center Watch windows Security Center disabled. I tried to turn it on, of SERVICES [automatically]. But after sometimes it becomes disabled automatically, use Antivirus, McAfee SecurityCenter. It is up to date and a license.
· You receive an error message when the windows Security Center is turned off?
I suggest to temporarily disable the Antivirus on the system and check if the problem persists.
Once you disable the antivirus software follow the steps below to start the Windows Security Center service.
one) to access the console type Services in the search field and press ENTER. You will need to click on continue if you are prompted to open the Services window.
(b) in this window, you must locate the right-click Security Center service, now select Auto and select start. When the service fails to start, you will receive an error message.
Disable the software Antivirus is a potential threat to the security of the system, I suggest you to activate the antivirus as soon as you have completed the troubleshooting steps.
Try to perform a system online virus scan to check the malware/virus infections. The online virus scan will automatically scan your system and remove any potential threats caused by a virus/malware.
See the link provided below to launch the Virus Scan online.
You can also use the center of McAfee Security installed on the system to check any infection of virus/malware on the system.
The problem may also be related to the damaged user account that so I suggest to create a new user account and check if that helps resolve the issue.
I have reinstalled Windows 7 64 on my HPE-510 t.
Everything works fine, including Laserjet P1006 and Deskjet 3050 printer and the USB controller. Test the pages look beautiful. Drive external drive has no problem talking to the computer.
I have this icon of the persistent Action Center telling me the printer drivers and the USB driver must be installed. So I installed the driver laserjet three times, twice deskjet printer driver and USB driver once. Everything works well, as far as I can tell.
Why don't this recall Action Center and it's all small yellow triangle! Go away? I can't think of what I have to do.
Does anyone have advice?
You can try this:
Right click on the Center of the Action in your taskbar and open it > Change Action Center settings >
Under 'Maintenance Messages' > UNCHECK "Device Software" > OK
Disable any other thing that is bothering you. The service here's help; If it makes you crazy, this isn't helping. The smile.
the last weeks I was not able to open the center of the action on my laptop, I get a message that the action center can not be started.
I have toshiba nb 200 windows 7 32-bit
Thanks for your help
Using some security software that block the start-up of the Action Center? Just try to disable the security software and try again.
Also, check if the Security Center service runs. You can check this in Windows Services (start > services.msc).
"I can't use winddow Defender, my pc show' If you use another application to find the unwanted malicious software, use action center to cheack app status."
Please help me solve. Thank you
If you use Norton, AVG, Avira, Microsoft Security Essentials, McAfee, etc. the default action is for Windows Defender must be disabled, that these AntiVirus programs have their own Antispyware Applications.
There is nothing to worry.
Using both programs at the same time can cause system conflicts, etc.
If you are using one of the above AntiVirus programs, this Information from David O - Support Engineer shows you how to manually enable Windows Defender (disregard information from uninstalling; not possible in Vista):
"Go to start, Control Panel, Administrative Tools, Services. Look for Windows Defender.
Right click and select Properties , ensure that Startup Type is automatic.
Once modified, click apply and OK.
Quit and restart your computer. Check the back take the same path to confirm that Windows Defender has started"
If you want to have additional protection against malware using the version FREE of Malwarebytes AntiMalware:
And for now, change startup Vista programs without using Defender, use one of these methods:
"How to use MSCONFIG in Windows Vista"
Or the program Autoruns for FREE:
"V11.21 Autoruns for Windows"
See you soon.
In December 2012 after installation of the updates of Microsoft Windows on my machine Windows 8 and rebooting, my icon downtown Action system gave 3 warning messages:
The spyware, antivirus and Firewall wasn't turned on do not.
When I was in the center of the Action, he said time Windows Defender and McAfee have been disabled.
I ran Mcafee checks as well as the defender and it states that my machine is virus-free.
I clicked on Mcafee and it said all were lit.
I called Mcafee technical support and they did something in December 2012 and has solved the problem and none of the messages is new. They do not just turn off messages in December 2012, they did something, but wouldn't discuss what has been done with me.
However, today, Jan 8/13, another set of Windows updates have been installed by Microsoft and yet once again, the WARNING messages 3 came.
I called McAfee support again and said that I didn't call each month when I install the updates of Windows to solve the problem and that there is a bug with Windows 8 and McAfee.
I looked at the tech of McAfee as he did helpline (I work in technical support as well) and what he did this time was to turn off Action Center messages, thinking that I DINA realize that it was not really solved the problem.
I told him, I understand that it seems that McAfee is not working properly, but I will not renew my McAfee Dell subscription this March/13 because that doesn't solve anything... it's just disable the warning messages. (I showed her that if I turn on the message, the warnings were still there... apparently he was shocked that I knew what I was doing).
He said that McAfee is a problem with Windows 8 and McAfee and are working on a fix.
The tech told me to get in touch with Dell and they would provide a fix.
This problem does not occur with my Alienware Windows 7 pc and installation of Windows 8 I received is on my other pc from Dell.
Is someone can you please tell me if there is a fix for this?
I will not renew my McAfee subscription if it comes to the type of service that will be provided; I'll go with another antivirus program.
