Family shared & Apple pay payments

I got iCloud family configured sharing with my partner for some time, with my main flow configured as a shared payment card. I changed since that to my debit card to our account to join.

I pay Apple set up on my iPhone and only linked it to my main debit card - it is the card available only to pay Apple.

If I'm shopping in the App Store / iTunes - what card would be charged?

It will be any method of payment you have linked to iTunes - payment methods that you can use in the iTunes Store, the App Store and the iBook Store - Apple Support

  • Family sharing - need help to accept sharing family invite

    Hello

    I'm trying to:

    1. establish the family shares with three children (minors).

    2. take the music and previously purchased content and add it to the family sharing

I created a separate child account, but now, I can't seem to find a way to accept the invitation of sharing of the family on the previous Apple ID (related to the nano to my son).

    Any help?

    Thank you very much!

iPods (which are not on the iPod touch) are not related to an Apple ID (they may be associated with an iTunes library).  If the iPod nano is probably not involved in your question.  In addition, there is no separate steps to add content previously purchased the family shares.

  • Issue of payment family sharing?

    Hi all

I recently set up the family sharing for my household... and linked to my wife and her sister in my Apple music subscription.  We also like the location tracker (so we can see what anyone of us and if we are sure). My sister-in-law lives with us.

Anyway, my sister-in-law made some app purchases, and he was billed on my credit card.  I went into iTunes and iCloud settings but can not find a way to block my sister in law to make purchases on my card and she even can not find a way to have purchases charged to their own card.

Is there a way to do this?  We would not take him out of family sharing and not be able to use the tracker location or my subscription of Apple's music.

    Any input would be appreciated!

    -Matt

While she is in sharing family (and not the Organizer) she cannot use her own credit card, it can either use a balance on his account or your (as organizer) credit card: payments - Apple Support and family purchases

After you set up your family, anytime a family member throws a new purchase, that it will be charged directly to your account, unless the family member has gift or store credit. First of all, their store credit will be used to pay the invoice total or partial. The rest will be billed to the card of the family of the Organizer. The family Organizer, the revenue generated by the transaction will be sent to you

  • Family sharing: don't want to pay for my family applications

    Hey,.

I just put in family share for my family so that we can all have a family account on Apple music. However; We have noticed that once you link the accounts as a family, purchases will be automatically charged to the "account of the Organizer. All members of my family are adults and I so want to make their purchases separately still enjoying the benefits of shared Apple music.

Then... Is there a way that you can adjust the account so that every Member of the family must pay for their own app purchases while not paying for the music of apple?

    Thank you.

There is unfortunately no way to 'split' the content of what is bought under the sharing of the family.

    Hello Copale,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community Support from Apple. I know how it is important to keep your music and other purchases organized, and I maybe some information which will help. When you start a family membership Apple music shared purchases will be available to other members of the family. You are not required to share all purchases and shared purchases are not automatically downloaded to all devices. You are given the option to download.

For more information on the person of the family memberships share purchases, take a look at the article below, and if you're having trouble, the entire community is here to help.

  • sharing family. need help with payment options

My sister & I are sharing family & we both have our own credit cards on our own accounts.  But when I try to make a purchase, I get a message that IT has to allow it?  Why do I need someone else.s permission to make a purchase on MY account with MY credit card?  How can I fix?

If you use a family sharing then the card to the family of the organizer can only be used (or, if you are not the Organizer, your account balance) - family members cannot use their own cards, while they remain in the family sharing.

  • Family sharing ate my apps

I have an iPad, retina, iPhone 5 and two pounds of Mac, which used to be under an Apple ID. This ID is shared by my wife and me. More recently, we ran into issues with content going to too many places, so I decided to make a new ID I have spent my iPad and iPhone more to my new ID and family sharing... so I thought. At some point I had to clear in addition to space on my iPad, so I deleted some of the largest applications knowing that they would not be gone forever. Well, I'm not sure now.

The iTunes of my wife, I see some of the apps that I used to use on my iPad, but not all of them. Some of the apps I bought as part of this first ID disappeared from everything, including the app store. The app store to buy me some of these applications. It turns out that the creation of a new ID and going to family sharing has been more devastating than what we had before.

I went through a lot of step by step tutorials, and nothing has helped. My country codes are up to date, and I rechecked all my payment info.

    Thoughts? Thank you.

All purchases are always related to the Apple that was used to buy and download ID the. If your woman "inherited" this Apple ID, then she is the one who needs to set up the family sharing and grant you access. (Or change account)

You don't need to pay again for your applications. Simply log in to the store with this original Apple ID. All your app, from those who have been abandoned, appear on the purchases tab.

  • Family shares with separate payment methods

My mother put in place family shares for my brothers and me so that we can all have Apple music without each duty pay separately. However, now charged every time that I try to rent a movie or buying an App of the GET of my mom and when I called the Apple Support, they said, there is no way to make purchases on my own credit card if I am part of the family sharing.

Has anyone found a way around this or am I stuck venmo-ing my mother every time I want to rent a movie?

That's how family sharing works: it creates an adult and all purchases through his credit card.

You could ask a gift card or store credit? It's the only way (and no, there is no way around it).
