Family sharing - child accounts are adults

We have four adults Apple ID all related to the same family sharing.  I created the ID Apple before family sharing the existence when I created two accounts for my children so I did the adult accounts (if I remember correctly, when I tried specifying their actual birthdates he told me that the miners could not have Apple ID...).  In any case, this is the current configuration, the family shares with everyone as an adult ID.

I have two specific questions.

1. How can I force all purchases to devour the credit on my ID?  My account is the "Organizer" and I have a credit of $30 on my account, but the other day my son (who is an adult Apple ID) bought a game and he charge my credit card $1.06 instead of take it from my account credit (his account has no credit balance).  I guess it has something to do with the fact that his ID is an adult instead of the child...  No indication as to how I should proceed?

2. the two children just got several gift cards so that they will be adding credit balances to their identity papers.  According to me, this means that whenever they purchase something it will use up to their credits before it charges my card.  Is this correct?  And if so, it brings back me to question 1, once they use their entire balance how can I force it to use my credit on my account before it charges my card?

Thank you!

You are right #2.  If they have in-store credit, which will be used for purchases before going to the credit card of the Organizer.

There is no way to get their purchases to use your store credit.

  • iCloud family sharing Question

    Dear Apple,

My name is Noah Gilbert, and I happen to be the Expert IT with our family.

Unfortunately, for these past years, our family of 4 shared an Apple ID and somethings happened.

When one of us call each other, that the contacts of the things up, and also when you go in recent, there are people that I didn't call, but have called others in our family, and it's something that are not nice and also very scary.

I read upward on your iCloud, sharing of family and are generally fascinated on this subject, but when diving into the details, it's when it gets a bit murky.

If all 4 of us was to create an Apple ID and had to get the sharing of the family, what would happen to all of our data.

    The main question is:

What would happen to all our Contacts, Mail, calendar, iTunes purchases and also the App Store purchases?

Also, when it would be and current execution, will be our contacts and the stuff of colander, be separated into different lists of info.

I would really appreciate it if someone from this community come back to me, please.

    Thank you

First, everyone should have their Apple ID individual to avoid confusion you describe above.  If that were the case, then all the Contacts, calendar, e-mail, purchases of App Store and iTunes purchases will be remained connected to these accounts; under family sharing, however, there are some things that can and cannot be shared.  You can have a read more about it here - What are the types of content can I share with sharing family?-Apple Support

How can I exchange a good of iTunes via the family sharing my account of girls

    Flinton,

Connect to the iTunes account you want - either yours or your daughter - and redeem the gift card link Exchange located at the top right of the home page of the iTunes Store.

When you buy, the amount will be added as this account store.  Note that the credit will be usable by the person on the account.  If you put it on your account, it will not be usable for the purchase of your daughter.

  • Family sharing does not appear happy on the behalf of the child

I just tried to set up a family sharing. My son just got an ipod shuffle and I tried to put music on it for him. I created him Apple ID. I added it to the family sharing. When I go into iTunes on his Mac, I don't see the content available to download when I look into the purchase of iTunes section. I have tried to download a song that I knew I had. When I did that (his own), he said a family member had and it can be downloaded.

Why can't I see not the whole list of music available?

You see your account listed in the purchase section, you are able to select, and you have enabled on your account of sharing: share content with family sharing - purchased Apple Support ?

  • Microsoft Family safety began just prevent Chrome GMail and Google Reader works on a child account - anyone know why?

I am running Windows 7 and use parental control for several years.  My kids use Google Chrome with GMail and GoogleDrive for a lot of their homework.  In recent days on the child accounts Chrome slow down considerably with the message "establish a secure connection" when it starts for centuries, and then finally "Gmail App is not available".  After trying everything else (cookies, compensation, disabling extensions, historical disconnect account) I turned off parental control of Microsoft, and Chrome came back to life.  I've now changed the security settings to "block adult sites" to "warn on adult sites" and Chrome works very well.  I'm not happy to leave this setting to warn but need to at the moment, so that they can do their homework.  Is this a Microsoft problem or is there anything else I can try to solve it?

  • How can I recharge my personal credit card, being a member of a family shared account?

How can I recharge my personal credit card, being a member of a family shared account?

You cannot, with the family share that only cards of the Organizer will be used (if you have a balance on your account that will be used for your purchases, if that card organizer will be charged)

  • Can we have a family sharing without shared payment?

I want to have my family active sharing, but I want that every Member of the family to pay for their own downloads.  How is that possible?

The only way to do it is if members of the family have a credit balance on their account an iTunes gift card iTunes staff. Also, some purchases require a credit card to be used, such as recurring subscription purchases. Even if these users are adults and have their own credit card attached to their personal accounts, one of the things on the sharing of the family is using the credit card of the family Organizer. See this document to support with an explanation on the purchases. Purchases payments - Apple Support and family  You will see that it says that if an adult member wishes to pay for their purchase, they must be removed from the family group.

  • Family sharing - need help to accept sharing family invite

    Hello

    I'm trying to:

    1. establish the family shares with three children (minors).

    2. take the music and previously purchased content and add it to the family sharing

I created a separate child account, but now, I can't seem to find a way to accept the invitation of sharing of the family on the previous Apple ID (related to the nano to my son).

    Any help?

    Thank you very much!

iPods (which are not on the iPod touch) are not related to an Apple ID (they may be associated with an iTunes library).  If the iPod nano is probably not involved in your question.  In addition, there is no separate steps to add content previously purchased the family shares.

  • Family sharing: don't want to pay for my family applications

    Hey,.

I just put in family share for my family so that we can all have a family account on Apple music. However; We have noticed that once you link the accounts as a family, purchases will be automatically charged to the "account of the Organizer. All members of my family are adults and I so want to make their purchases separately still enjoying the benefits of shared Apple music.

Then... Is there a way that you can adjust the account so that every Member of the family must pay for their own app purchases while not paying for the music of apple?

    Thank you.

There is unfortunately no way to 'split' the content of what is bought under the sharing of the family.

  • Family sharing woes

I like the idea of family sharing, but is it possible that my 17 year old son can participate in sharing family so he can take advantage of our subscription iTunes but allow him to make purchases with his iTunes account? I have the family facility and everybody sharing

    Hello blmclaws,

Thank you for using communities of Apple Support.

I see you want to add your son to share your family enjoy the iTunes subscription, but make purchases with their iTunes account. How the family sharing is set up, all purchases are made with the credit card provided by the Organizer. The exception is that if a member has a credit on his iTunes, usually by a gift card account, then purchases will come from this credit until the credit card of the Organizer is responsible. Thus, in the case of your son, he could buy gift cards and add them to their account before shopping. In this way, the Organizer will not be charged.

  • In - app purchases - family sharing

    Hello!

Thank you for taking the time to help me. My wife and I both have an IPhone 6 and I have family sharing set up between the two of us. I have a credit on my iTunes account. However, whenever she makes an in-app purchase he is charged on my credit card, rather than the iTunes credit. The app which she acquired is a game (not something like for example Amazon, Ebay, where it would be obvious credit ITunes is not applicable). In any case, through the sharing of family purchase should not be deducted from my credit iTunes rather than being charged to our credit card? If not, how can I make it so that's the case?

If you are the family Organizer so your balance cannot be used - family member can (and will) using a scale for their own account, otherwise the Organizer card will be charged.

  • Family sharing ate my apps

I have an iPad, retina, iPhone 5 and two pounds of Mac, which used to be under an Apple ID. This ID is shared by my wife and me. More recently, we ran into issues with content going to too many places, so I decided to make a new ID I have spent my iPad and iPhone more to my new ID and family sharing... so I thought. At some point I had to clear in addition to space on my iPad, so I deleted some of the largest applications knowing that they would not be gone forever. Well, I'm not sure now.

The iTunes of my wife, I see some of the apps that I used to use on my iPad, but not all of them. Some of the apps I bought as part of this first ID disappeared from everything, including the app store. The app store to buy me some of these applications. It turns out that the creation of a new ID and going to family sharing has been more devastating than what we had before.

I went through a lot of step by step tutorials, and nothing has helped. My country codes are up to date, and I rechecked all my payment info.

    Thoughts? Thank you.

All purchases are always related to the Apple that was used to buy and download ID the. If your woman "inherited" this Apple ID, then she is the one who needs to set up the family sharing and grant you access. (Or change account)

You don't need to pay again for your applications. Simply log in to the store with this original Apple ID. All your app, from those who have been abandoned, appear on the purchases tab.

  • Family sharing - cryptic guests

So I implemented a family sharing. Can I download music to my wife - that works very well, but when she tries to download music purchased from my account she gets this unintelligible prompt. A google search revealed situations very complicated - my situation is very simple. 2 people. 2 Apple ID. 1 family shares.

To expand the guest on his phone, I go to the iTunes Store > downloads > my account > find the music I want > click the cloud/download...

    Guest:

"This device is already associated with an Apple ID."

"You can download past purchases on this device with a single Apple ID every 90 days."

The marketing pages make believe that 2 people can share music and each other, but this cryptic message sounds like there is a "sharer" account, then on accounts "Bruno" who may not share and must wait 90 days to become the account that sharing their music. I am very confused. Also to add to the confusion, the options are "Cancel" and "transfer" - transfer what? ". I just want to download an album and I am currently in my family shared in itunes store page... What happens when I transfer? The songs on my phone that I downloaded from its purchases are removed, and I have to wait 90 days before I transfer back?

correction, this is the line of the error:

"If you can also download past purchases with your Apple ID, you don't auto download or download purchases with another Apple ID for 90 days.

It makes no sense to me
