Fan CPU in Compaq Presario SG3450IL failure

Hello

I use a Compaq SG3450IL with Windows-7(32-bit) OS desktop pc. You need the card mother ms-7525 v1.0 is installed in it. The question is that whenever I turnon or restart my pc it displays "error: CPU fan failure, shutdown of PC will immediately in a few seconds.» PC service immediately. ». But, when I open the Cabinet cpu one comes to know that all the fans inside the CPU properly. I use to press F2 and ignore this issue. But, after a few months, pc allows to recover for several times. I had formatted my OS together for this issue, but no use. I contacted the service of hp on this issue and they suggested me to change the cpu fan. I want to know if these two problems can be solved by replacing the cpu fan with a new one. Please guide me on this issue. I'm waiting for your valuable suggestion that there expert day.

Concerning
Rachid

Hello

normally, while the CPU fan error comes, it appears on the screen with a red font and pc stops immediately.

However, if the system fan fails, pc gives message with white font and generally wllows to start Windows after you press the F2 or F1.

If you are facing the second situation then a way to disable the message of would be - to go BIOS by pressing Ctrl + F10 when booting. Then go to advance the menu and then scroll down to hardware monitor. and you can now turn off the system from the BIOS fan control.

I hope this will help.

  • Issue of upgrade CPU laptop (Compaq Presario)

    Hello

Can someone please confirm that my Compaq Presario B1223TU, who has a processor Intel T5250 CPU can be upgraded to the Intel T9500 (Penryn) 2.6 GHhz.

I already installed the latest version of BIOS 68MSU f.0Une on my computer.

After checking the site Web of Compaq to my computer here: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareDownloadIndex?softwareitem=ob-57986-1&lc=en&dlc=en&cc=us&...

In the correction and improvement of article he States: "adds support for new Intel processors.

What exactly are these new Intel processors because it is not clear? It's the BIOS version 68MSU ROM. F05

I guess that means it supports the new Penryn T9500, T8100, T8300 and T9300 processor, but I'm not sure.

I also found this site selling retail who says that it is supported as well for my particular laptop but it does not include the Intel T9500: http://www.ambry.com/page/modelnu/GS111PA/463050-001.html

Can someone please confirm that the T9500 is a possible upgrade for me. Thank you.

  • Compaq Presario CQ5110Y: Compatibility of CPU fan

After doing a little research, I have another question regarding the change of my CPU fan.

An article I read said that I need to check the compatibility of the new fan that I use as a replacement for my fan CPU 7 year and liked because he must blow at the same speed as the original fan; otherwise, the BIOS may not recognize the fan.

How can I find out if the new fan specifications are the same as the old one? I already bought a 80 mm fan, but I don't know if it's the right to be placed on the radiator.

    Thank you.

Thanks for asking this question.  The simple answer is a program called CPUIDHWMonitor.

  • Compaq Presario SR1719UK, System fan fail warning

    Hi guys

Hope you can help me with what I am puzzled.

I have a compaq presario SR1719UK that I transplanted everything except a car fan and DVD in a new case.

I added a new case for the new case fan and everything is properly connected, and yet on startup, I get the attention system fan failure, he has not done this in the case of the former.

In the bios, that the temperature fits as 35 degrees with the CPU fan at about 1500 rpm, case fan display 0 RPM, even if she is running and blowing air out of the case.

    Overall, I am confused!

Any help would be greatly appreciated

    ATI Radeon Xpress 200

    HP/Compaq motherboard name: AmethystM-GL6E

    2 GB DDR memory

Windows 7 Ultimate (can be reversed for Linux but can downgrade to XP)

    Flex 300W power supply

Hello sparticate, you may have installed a fan that is not compatible with the HP motherboard. Is it possible that you can replace the new fan with the original fan and see if the problem is resolved. These HP case and CPU fans have a speed sensor which tells the motherboard fan is indeed running. If the new fan has no such speed sensor drive, motherboard want to get the appropriate signal and display the error message.

  • Compaq Presario 2545US upgrade (DC970A) CPU, compatible CPU?

I have a HP Pavilion nx9010 (DV134U) for parts for my Compaq Presario 2545US (DC970A). It's practically a twin, internal differences only being their mothers and processor cards. The Presario's 31KT9MB0030 system board and CPU Pentium 4 d 2.40 GHz (SL6RZ). The Pavilion has 31KT9MB0056 system board and CPU Pentium 4 d 2.80 GHz (SL6PF). My question is whether I would be able to run the nx9010 CPU in the 2545US without a critical thermal problems. They both have the same 3-fan and heatsink of huge heat cooling system.

Any help, advice and information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

According to some old posts here by Clinton Tam, it seems that the Presario will work until a 2.80 GHz CPU P4 - D. In the manual, in the list of replaceable parts, it was available with other processors P4 - D. I saw no motive P4s. In the list of spare parts on the HP Business Support site for the nx9010, it was available with several processors P4 - D, not the P4s Mobile only. The difference is in the motherboards. The motherboard in the 31KT9MB0030 Presario 2545US (326682-001) and those in the Pavilion nx9010 is 31KT9MB0056 (344178 001). 30 is not the voltage regulator / VRM necessary for the performance of a portability, or Mobile P4. 56 the fact. Thus, the Presario I can only run the P4 - D processors and the nx9010 that I can run simultaneously P4 - D and M - P4 CPU.

  • Desktop Compaq Presaro CQ5110Y: replace a fan in compaq presario

    Hello!

I'm trying to change a 80mm fan in my Compaq computer. The fan I want to change, I believe, is called the CPU fan. It has a lever at the side and 4 screws holding down.

My question is the following: that I need to move the lever on the side of the fan in order to get the fan to the top and go ahead to remove the screws or do I just remove the 4 screws? Also, how can I remove the screws taking into account the uncomfortable position they're in?

(I worked on trying to remove the screw; however, it is difficult to maneuver the screwdriver at the top of the screws to remove.) It is that part of the case of fan above the screw makes it necessary to place the screwdriver on the side to remove the screws).

    Thank you for your response.

A diameter more small phillips head screw drive must be used, straight down into the hole over the screw.

  • Compaq presario sr5010nx does not recognize cpu

Hi guys my dad have a really crappy computer (cannot run the half-life 1) and I want to give him my old (also shitty, but less) which I use no more. I bought a new processor, an intel Core 2 Duo E4300 1.80 GHz 2 M 800 MHz processor LGA775 Conroe, which is on the list of caught cpu supported by the motherboard (945GCT-HM (Livermore)) on the website of intel. When I changed the cpu, apply the thermal paste and it started
I got "ERROR: unsupported processor installed.
PC will turn off automatically in a few seconds "message and I wonder why it does not work. Is it possible that the CPU is broken? I bought on ebay so it would not be surprising. I also changed the power supply which fried for a 550W and added the new ram, 1 stick of 1 GB and a 2 GB.

P.S. I asked on another Web site and all they told me is get a better machine, please do not. My father is really not great matches and I don't have the money for her ^^

    Hello @Charlesesteban,

I understand that you are having problems with upgrading the processor on your desktop Compaq Presario SR5010NX. Well well, according to the HP Support document: upgrade or replacement of the processor you have followed the steps correctly. The TDP for the original and intel processor Core 2 Duo E4300 1.80 GHz 2 M 800 MHz LGA775 processor are the two 65w so this isn't a problem. I suspect that you're right in that the new processor is faulty.

I hope this helps. Thanks for posting on the HP Forums. Have a great day!

  • Compaq Presario SR5130NX: Cannot start Windows Vista after failure - HELP!

Hello! My building has undergone a complete failure so 4 days ago I used it. Power resumed 3 hours later, but I was not able to log on since.

Normally, I turn on my PC, and about 30 seconds later, a window pops up asking you my password. After entering it, the PC come by my office. Now, when I turn on the PC, it brings me to a blue screen with a mouse cursor in the Center (which I can move), but there is nothing to click on.

When I press F8 during the boot process and choose an option from the window "Advanced Boot Options", I still can't start my computer normally.

Here's the "Advanced Boot Options" I tried, after consultation with my brother a little more PC-savvy:

1 repair your computer - after I see my black screen that is usual with the words "Microsoft Corporation" under the green bars that scroll from left to right for about 15 seconds, a blue screen appears with the mouse pointer in the Center (which I can move), but there is nothing to click on.

2 mode safe - while the PC display several files on start up and down, it stops on "Loaded: \windows\system32\drivers\disk.sys" for about 20 seconds, then proceeds to a black screen with the words "Safe Mode" in the 4 corners and the mouse cursor at the Center (which I can move), but there is nothing to click on.

3 safe mode with network - see "Safe Mode" above.

4 safe mode with command prompt - see 'Safe Mode' above.

5 last known good Configuration (Advanced) - see "repair your computer" above.

6 start Windows normally - see "Repair your computer" above.

7 debug mode - see "Repair your computer" above.

I downloaded a DVD recovery based on Linux in knopper.net, allowing me to access important files, which I copied from the desktop to an external hard drive (4.1 GB iso file).

PC Windows XP of my brother has a recovery disk, but my Windows Vista PC did not come with one. I've seen a few paid versions, but looked resources due to cool weather and free shipping.

I can't tell if I have the 23-bit or the 64 bit version of Windows Vista, so I downloaded both versions of an open source sourceforge.NET startup repair, which I burned on 2 DVDs. After you run the startup repair program using two DVD, the diagnostic results have been uploaded online at ubuntu.com for review and technical analysis. Here are the links:

The last report ended with the words "start managed to fix...".  You can now restart your computer. "But I always encounter a blank screen (black or blue) when I try to log on to my PC.

    Hello

Since you already have KNOPPIX I try Gparted and use it to 'clean up' the score because it will stop in an impure State.

    NTFS

    [1][11]NTFS-3 g / important

    GParted will try.

Also, I would consider the old problem with fat systems, floppy disks etc. which sometimes a copy of sys files from a floppy disk to a hard drive has reactivated a bootable system.

So, if system files have been damaged, then replace them since a Setup disk.  Because he goes to options, what kind of work.
