Fan of Sleekbook 4 HP ENVY rattling noise

Product name: HP ENVY Sleekbook 4 PC
Product number: C2K72UA #ABA
64-bit Windows 8

So I've had this laptop since November and it was fine, until a few months ago, when he started to make this fort of the sound vibrations in the upper right. Sometimes he'd stop, then rattle noise would come back in a few seconds.

What should I do?
[I don't have a warranty on this laptop]

Hey jennyydang,

I'm sorry that you run into a problem with the fan. You may already be aware of this but the laptop comes with a standard 1 year warranty (free repairs for non-customer - damage caused by). Which is included in the price of the laptop if you bought new or is less than a year (even if it was, say, given to you... If it is less than a year, he got a guarantee). If it's less than a year, I suggest strongly sent the repair. The fan noise of rattling is normally fixed by simply replacing the fan.

If the laptop is more than a year, you could bring to a repairman or replace the fan on your own. (It's a very tedious job, and at least that a repair like this is a hobby for you, it's worth the price you pay someone to fix it)

  • Rattling noise - the graphics card or power supply?

    Hey guys,.

I've had my HP Pavilion Elite m9300t for almost 1 year now. About half of that time, I had to deal with the annoying rattle noise that I attributed to one of the fans in the case. Unfortunately, my PC is equipped with GeForce 9500GS formidable card (with the black cover) and so noise, while annoying, is not surprising. The rattling noise has been stronger and more widespread during initialize and not significantly lower over time.

But now I have an another problem and I'm not sure if the two are related. Now, the sounds rattling calms down (no noise whatsoever) and in 20-30 seconds, the screen empty... similar to the computer goes into mode 'sleep'. More funny thing is, the PC is set to operate at full capacity and therefore the 'sleep' mode. This problem started occurring 4 weeks ago and happen once a few days ago. Now, I am unable to work for more than 5 minutes after the initial upward boot before the screen turns off.

I concluded (don't know if I'm right or not, where my post here) I have a power supply issue. The PC came stock with a 350W power supply, but I don't know if my linked overuse of heat damage on the motherboard or the power supply failure. I work with software music production and large audio files 70-80% of the time and the PC stays on for long periods. I am aware that these applications are stressful, but I'm not sure whether or not they can cause the types of symptoms that I described.

So basically I guess what I'm asking is the following; is my problem, a graphics card or POWER supply number or both? Then based on the advice given, I would also like to know what the next step is to get my PC to 100%.

Thanks in advance for the help.

If your PC still work with a white screen, I would check the video card first, especially since you did not get the new & improved version

Try to isolate the problem step by step, the PSU isn't necessarily the problem as the system is in place.

  • Normal palmrest rMBP 15 '' rattling noise?

    Hi all

I'm certainly not technically minded, so sorry if it is not a stupid question / too long! I'm also new to the forum so I hope I put this in the right place...

I have a September 2014 15 "Macbook Pro. Us build some quality problems with it (trackpad rattling, squeaking hinge) I solved last November. Now, however, a couple of new problems have emerged:

    (1) even under slight pressure (put your hand on it or, sometimes, rest two or three fingers on it) the Palm made a rattling noise pronounced, as something that separates from something else and then meeting again when I take the pressure on her.

    (2) the lower part of it can feel quite fragile, and sometimes when I press lightly on it I can hear the sound of two bits to touch metal (noise low 'thought' is the best way I can describe it).

I was wondering if it is normal - the genius at the Apple store insisted that the mahlstick noise was just the clips that hold the main Board in place. I wasn't convinced as he only started doing a month previously, as surely that this was only the clips making the noise, he would have made noise for 1 day? They also could not find anything wrong with the below.

I was wondering if these are problems that anyone else has met--I'm not worried that the computer is going to break or anything, it's just a little embarrassing that a premium computer has these niggles build quality!

Thank you very much for reading!

Please make an appointment at the Apple Store - Genius Bar store and bring it into service. If you are in the United States or is unable to make an appointment in this way, contact your Apple store.

  • Satellite A500 - rattling noise

    Hey guys,.

I ve bought my A500 a month ago and since I got it, there is a small click on the right side, then where is the Num-Lock button.
I Don t think it s HARD drive because it is not a permanent by clicking, it's like * click * seconds later * click * and so on...
I heard that NHC (Notebook Hardware Control) should solve the problem, but I have windows 7 64 bit and the NHC doesn´t work under this version.
So guys do you have an idea what I can do to stop it by clicking on? :)

Sorry for my English but I m from Germany ;)

    Hello

    > I Don t think it s HARD drive because it is not one clicking permanent, its similar in a few seconds click and so on

As I know, only the hard drive can make rattling noise in laptop computers.

Instead of posting your question in the Feedback forum, where you post your feedback on the web site of Microsoft Answers, you should have posted in forum hardware and drivers, which is where I moved your post.  Please return to your message, click on edit, change the Version of Windows, menu dropdown to indicate which version of Windows you are using, and then click on submit.

Frankly, you should talk to a repair shop, don't ask this question here.  It seems that the internal mechanism in your Lexmark has failed.

  • rattling noise Photosmart c4280

Recently, my Photosmart C4280 makes a quick loud pinging from the start under tension, or whenever I Press PRINT or COPY.

The sound seems to come from the right side of the unit, is approximately two seconds and sounds like a mchinegun continuous burst. When the noise stops, printing or copying function works and produces a normal copy. This only happens on the first page. If I have selected several pages the noise only occurs on the first printed page. However, when you perform repeated simple copies, the noise whenever I have print or copy.

I tried the following without change:

-Removed the back cover and it wiped all the rolls

-Deleted and reinstalled ink cartridges (resettled same cartridges)

-Performed a Hard Reset (disconnect from the computer, power cable printer disconneting & electric transformer, unplug the power supply from the socket wall, holding THE button 30 seconds, then reconnect the.)

-Conducted a partial reset (this product a new alignment page that I used realigne printer/scanner).

Power supply printer is plugged directly into the wall, rather than by the surge protector.

  • My HP envy rattling m6 fan

HI, I had my HP envy m6 since may, and yesterday, I noticed that instead of the fan being quiet and pleasant as ot usually was vibrations. So I was sondering if he just needs to be cleaned or if it needs repair.

Take an air cartridge and blow out all the dust bunnies and see if make a difference. If not then you can try to clean it up, but if you're going to disassemble your strengths so replace it so that they are usually not very expensive.

  • HP Envy 6 noise deaf

I have a HP Envy 6 - 1006sa Sleekbook that makes a horrible thud in the back left corner.

I tested and sent by PC World as thought it might be the hard drive? Their tests said that it isn't, and they just gave me a new keyboard (useless). I did my own test on the HP Support program + and it was agreed that the hard drive is fine.

I can't reproduce the problem, and it is not constant. This does not happen when I do any particular action, for example, printing, watch videos. It seems completely random. Sometimes there is a thud, there is sometimes a bit together.

    Any ideas would be appreciated!

    Thank you

its may be becase fan problem, I know not is a fan of weather in this part of your lappy or it may be becase of your physical damage to the hard drive, better get in touch with hp service station and I suggest you BK a return for your application to ASP.

  • My laptop makes a sound rattle noise

    Hello

My laptop started making a rattling sound when I use it... fan area I think. I vaccumed the fan in the case where the problem - was there some dust in it - but she continues to shake occasionally after I turn it on.

Should I stop using my laptop - is it safe to continue to use? Or can I continue to use it and ignore the sound?

    Thank you very much!

Are you sure this is in the region of fan?
In my opinion, you can continue to use your laptop, but I recommend you contact the closest service Toshiba and ask for help.

BTW: what model of laptop do you have?

  • CPU HP Pavilion p6-2260ea model made rattling noise

If the computer is on for awhile or just or not, I'm online, there sometimes it hiccups-type who seems to come from the transformer. The computer is only 8 months old and has been doing this since August. The noise occurs quite regularly for half a minute or more, then a minute goes and does it again. So sometimes, there will be some noise click-hiss at a short interval. Sometimes, there is the clicking sound without following his whistle. Looks like a tiny-snap button, and then whistle. It kind of sounds like open a can of soda then an exhalation. It doesn't seem normal and driving me crazy.

What is that noise and how it can be eradicated?

    Hello

I have following links shows if the problem is with the fan

Test the hard drive by using the link below

    Or

The link below gives all the troubleshooting steps related to your computer that you can use.

  • Fan of satellite L making a humming noise

Just today my laptop fan was emitting an annoying gurgling noise when the fan is on. I got no problem with that before today.
Any ideas what is causing this and what are the solutions?

    Thank you

    Dan

The cooling module is hmm may be defective
Perhaps the small fan ball bearing malfunctions

If you have noticed this only while the fan is running, then this part must be checked and possibly replaced
