fan problem

I ran test material on my macbook pro (late 2012) three times. for the first time test reported with error fan like this "4M0T/4 / 40000002:left sid - 5134 ' but no more errors in the next race. Although the test has not reported any problem two term past, I hear fan noises so badly. What should I do next? Do I have to replace the fan or sth worse would happen to my mac?

Replace the fan.  A free AHT error is never conclusive, but if she picks up a problem, which is conclusive.  So do not be deceived by the error free AHT runs.

Ciao.

    Hello

A few days ago I started getting message, with a cooling fan problem, error 90 b

But this error was only occurring when I started my laptop after 5-6 hours

I mean when I started this morning, at the first moment it showed this error, and when it will stop automatically (it says, ENTER to continue starting or it will stop in 10 or 15 seconds) and then I start it again, but this time, no error started end

So guyz, I wanted to know whether hardware or software problem or something else

Still my warranty period which goes, so should I goto HP support center?

    I'm on HP Pavilion dv6

It is material but may be repairable before you send it. Bend over a paperclip and stick it through the grid to hold the fan and prevent it from running out of control and blow compressed air in the grid to dislodge any dirt or dust that can be hung up the fan. If it does not the fan may need to be replaced.

  • HP laptop Pavilion 17-e040us - Possible fan problem

Hi all.  I think I have a fan problem.  The fan seems to run all the time... at least for the past 3 or raining days, but not fort, with air alternating hot and cold, of the events.  I looked at the events surrounding the outside of the computer and it does not seem to show the accumulation of dust... but even with appropriate glasses, I'm not able to see if there is dust or not... is old or in my case being old causes sight problems!  I also used the diagnostic software to see if any hardware has failed.  The results showed that the computer hardware is correct.

Then you clean the vents (the article says that it is acceptable to use a hair dryer)?  In addition, open the back cover of the laptop to clean the fan inside if it has dust?

Article also says to turn off the computer and unplug the power adapter before spraying compressed air.  Also if you use a blow dryer on the cool setting?  If so, what is the power adapter and how to disconnect it?

Right now I am using the wired option.  I just need to remove the power cord at the back of the router to disconnect.  However, then the computer is wireless... How to turn off the wireless feature... so I can clean the fan/vents?

Thank you.  I really don't miss my XP version!

By blowing air through the vents of your laptop, you are forcing air through the fan. In a laptop, this remove most of the dirt and allow for better air circulation and cooling. This isn't the case with a desktop computer and that's why the video demostates office clean the fan.

I suggest removing the battery is because with it in place, you can accidentally turn on the computer. With the sector/charger adapter unplugged and the battery removed, there is no chance of the computer starts.

  • HP Pavilion dv9550eo (clicking sound) fan problem

Two months ago I have vaccumed the fan, but don't forget to keep the fan. If the fan has got a very high SPEED while I vaccumed. When I started my PC after that the fan suddenly begins to make a "rattling noise" and the RPM is extremely high. I used my computer to much a game earlier, and rpm and noise were never like that. What can be the problem? Is the bearings in the fan broken? How can I fix?

Can I buy a new fan or the need of a whole new radiator? The partnumber anyone so I can order a new part?

    Just the fan. http://www.eBay.com/ITM/170875020953

Check fan game gently pulling back & comes on a slide with a pair of tweezers, bearing fan problem typical sounds as do many on HP laptops.

Download the service manual for help on band & connection & use a good thermal paste like Artic ceramique2 because it makes a difference & lasts much longer than the cheap pasta...

  • Qosmio G50 - problem with graphics card or fan problem?

Over the last year, I bought myself a Qosmio G50 at the beginning it seemed very nice and kool or so I thought until after the expiration of the first year, I noticed a small problem with my laptop.

    1. my fans are loud and sometimes they overheat, whats worse I can't clean my computer laptop but because fans note my fans were quite
the first year to have my laptop, so I have no idea why they are noisy, they shouldn't be doing this right?

    2. now that my fans are not clean, I'm in trouble, play with my video games, at least those who need the video card.

    3. while I play my games I have noticed how the fans or the video card video game a little speed and not the game, but you get the idea, it was bugs me for everything now.

Here is my last question for Toshiba support here
Qosmio G50 laptop Fans can be replaced? If so, how much would it cost?

What are the causes of the nose of the fans to make it so hard?

More help on my problem would be welcome.

If you have any questions for Toshiba support service then you are on the wrong place here. This is the forum user.
Maybe you should contact the nearest authorized service provider and ask it.

They can clean up your computer is turned on in a professional manner. After cleaning of the cooling and ventilation of cooling grid will be dust-free and run with low speed.
The material can be cooled properly.

  • Satellite L500 - stop and a fan problem

    Hello.

A few months my Toshiba Satellite L500-1 stops frequently due to overheating, which occurs when the intensive use of the laptop (for games, photomanipulation etc..). However, I don't know what I can do about it. I won't open my laptop, unless I am told to open my laptop computer to perform a specific task.

Today, my cell phone off again. However, when I turn back I noticed that something happened with my fan. At this point, my laptop doesn't overheat not quickly as usual. Instead of 90 + % fanspeed there around 58-60% (depending on the Toshiba PC Health Monitor). However, I noticed that something happened with my fan. After that I noticed that the fan will sometimes be a trigger, that sounds once every 10 minutes when the laptop is under heavy use.

What should I do now? It worries me, I'd be worried about it? Perhaps another user from Toshiba with a similar problem can give me support. I'd be happy.

    Thank you.

    Hello

On this virtual path, it is not easy to say what may be the problem.
When you use your laptop do you use desktop space?
Do you use it with power supply?

What power profile do you use when laptop stops?
Have you tried changing the settings of food or something else?

Before you start using it intensively have you tried to terminate background processes, disconnect the devices, just to see if that will help?

  • Tecra A8 PTA83E fan problem: SOLVED!

As I say in this post: http://forums.computers.toshiba-europe.com/forums/thread.jspa?threadID=21776, my tecra A8 fan still works at high rpm, and the service is unable to solve my problem.
Now, the problem seems to be FIXED!
I downloaded this update to the BIOS: http://dynabook.com/assistpc/download/modify/sate/k15/bios/bios350.exe

This update to the original for model JDM K15 - K20 (= Tecra A8, Satellite Pro A120 in the other world), but my system does work no problem with that, of course, and the normal fan control returns! Beautifully defines the higher speed when I start a C compiler, and sets of speed in silence when I come wroting this forum :)

Thank you Toshiba Japan, you make a very good day for me!

  • Qosmio G40 cooling fan problem

Hello everyone I bought international student G40. Nearlly got about half of the year.

I recentlly that are there is a problem with my G40, I usually wear my G40 in the library or at my place one friend, once I took G40 out of the bag and put on the desktop and turn on, the CPU fan appears nosiy.
It's kinda like the frame of the cooling fan is changed in movement, but it will be gone in a very short time, around 2 or 3 minutes.

AFAIK fan it's perfect job, just at the moment where I take it to another place and turn off and it appears as follows.

Anyone found this before, does anyone has idea what's going on with my G40?

Sorry, but I have never heard something like that. When you carry your laptop somewhere is the laptop turned off properly or maybe sleep/hibernation mode?

  • Satellite A100 heating and fan problem

    Hello

I will try to describe my problem in detail because I so hope that it might help!

I have a 5 years A100-011, Nvidia 7600 Go satellite. Recently, I fixed a display problem that I used to, however, this time (two weeks ago) him comes from the computer laptop back from the workshop with this heating problem. Which is the first time! The problem is the fan.

When I start the PC, the fan works like it ti be long, maximum for 3-4 seconds. After that the fan barely works! According to me, the air coming out but very very low! less than how it is used for years! I came back to the same place, I corrected the PC. They checked and claim his fine and work! So, I give it a shot and tried the PC.

Unconsciously, there is problem. Because the temperature of the GPU that has the problem, idling about reaching 60 c (SpeedFan) and goes high (65-67) while surfing the net! And using this way too much for internet!

What makes it even worst fan always at the same speed very slow! The speed can increase little when he reached 67c!

In this way, I can not use any high performance program, because the PC becomes more heated then stop.

    Note: I tried the following:
1-BIOS (latest version) no available fan control
2 power settings does nothing and there is no option of cooling method
3 - fan control software. Unfortunately, nothing has worked

I don't really know what the problem is! Given that the fan works but not all the time and why the GPU gets hot without doing something really serious! What is a cleaning problem? If so, why the fan does not reach its maximum speed at this temperature. !

I hope I am fine help and answer here!
    PLS help!
    Thank you

I agree with the user Notepad Akuma is 5 years old and I think that there is a lot of dust and debris inside the cooling modules that prevent fans from running correctly.
Air can circulate properly and therefore the temperature rises
    So what to do?

You can use a jet of compressed air to remove dust from the fans that I'm doing this regularly and it helps to clean the fans

  • Satellite Pro A10 - fan problem?

    Hello!

I have read and looked for similar topics/issues, but I did find something similar...

I have a problem in my notebook, which seems that I can't get rid... Whenever I use my pc a little more difficult (part No.: scan disc with anti-virus, zip a file, etc.) it overheats and shuts down.

I opened, cleaned the fan (it wasn't bad btw) and continues today.
But I noticed something is that it seems that the fan does not work at full power.
When I turn it on (after overheating), the fan runs really at full power, but a few seconds later, the speed decreases and it constantly to keep the same speed and if try to do the same task, overheating again...

The fan seems ok because it stops when the pc it's not hot, but everytime I try it overload, it keeps overheating, how can I solve this problem?

    Thanks in advance! Kind regards.

    Hello Fred

As a first step please can you me to which you would like a response? If you wait for Toshiba technician for the response form you can wait very long because it is user in the forum.

Second, I don't know exactly what it looks like in your case, but I noticed a similar behavior on my Satellite M70. After pressing power for a few seconds, cooling fan works at, I believe at full speed, but when load WXP start the cooling fan stops running. At this point Toshiba power saver (or power options Windows XP Home edition) controls the speed of the processor and cooling method. The entire operation is controlled by this tool.

I really don't understand why you are upset because of this. If the laptop works fine now without overheating be happy and enjoy this good old classic.

One more thing: next time be nice and Admin will not nice edit. :)

    Hello

Please, I've been trying to figure out the reason why my FAN works in 80% of his power when well even the base temperature is so low, and the fan makes huge noise, although Compairing for laptops with the same systems inside, and seems that my computer laptop iss making noise on the class, I can't look at the University because of its makes! Fan should get a rest too! ... anyway, I heard that TOSHIBA has had this problem with the products back on the past, just start to give me a solution and fast,.

I need the laptop to be with me on Classes! but its noisy! Too much... I have heard say it has something to do with the version of the BIOS, as in the first 10 days I got it, it was big and smooth, but what program TOSHIBA update asked me to update BIOS v1.9 fan was becoming crazy!

    Hello

Have you tried changing the settings in Win 7 power management?
    Do this!

Here you can change the settings for processor and cooling module performance
This will reduce the activity of the fan.

Please check this doc from Toshiba:
    http://forums.computers.Toshiba-Europe.com/forums/Ann.jspa?annID=41

It s on Vista power management, but it of very similar to Win 7!

  • Satellite A500-134 fan problem

    Hello!

I recently bought a laptop Toshiba A500-134, and I have two problems with that.
First of all, the largest: fans will always practically. Currently, the temperature is the following (I checked with Everest):
    CPU: 37
    CPU 1 core: 36 c
    CPU core 2: 36 c
    DispIO GPU: 46C
    MemIO GPU: 44 c
    The laptop temperature: 34 c

The speed of the fans (utility Toshiba): 73% and sometimes more (and this is waaay out loud)
Is this normal? Tried another (same type) for laptop and seems he did the same things. He doesn't do anything, that the Vista desktop are running, and the fans are still ongoing.

The second problem is a high tone sound from speakers. In my view, the processor to affect it. When I change the portable powersaving mode, the sound is silent, or it disappears.

    Hey Buddy

To be honest I n t see a problem with the temperature of your fan or your laptop.
CPU and GPU temperature appears to be low and there s nothing unusual.

Cooling performance modules can be changed in Vista's power management:

Check it the TOSHIBA Power Saver-> cooling method

  • HP Notebook 2000 cooling fan problem

Good, everyone. I had my laptop HP 2000 for a few years and I discovered my first major problem a few days ago, when the cooling fan has stopped working. I don't really bother me too much because I have a USB powered cooling fan which depends on my laptop, and it does a good job. My laptop everything on the same average level.

The biggest problem that I have is a few hours, the laptop turns off automatically because of this.

So, when I boot it upwards (turn on), it is a reminder that the cooling fan is not working and I have to press 'enter' or the laptop goes off in 15 seconds.

How can I make the laptop does not take into account the fan broken cooling? I don't want to spend the money to fix it because I can count on the USB-powered device.

    Thank you!

    ~ Mark

No, you can't. It stops probably precisely because it is time cpu peak on the threshold of security sometimes so he stops down to avoid damage.

Cooling of hp systems are not the best when working so the thermal stress on the cpu, gpu & mainboard will be bad & failure happen very quickly.

Fan is very cheap and can be done YOURSELF, if you have some skills to the dismantling of these sorts of things & guides following order to hp service manual & other online.

I expect a new fan & new thermal paste & calibration and cleaning would do wonders for the execution of time & the laptop's long-term health.
