Faster entry of characters for the language bar [Mandarin (TW)]

I was wondering if someone who types in Chinese can help me with a question. I noticed that when I type Simplified Chinese (with pinyin), the language of the interface recognizes words in groups. I select them and type fast this way.

However, when I try to do with traditional characters (TW), I'm usually looking for each character and the interface is not too "smart". Is there an option that would allow him to detect these cases?

Thank you!

Hello

Given that the problem is related to software, I suggest you to contact the support of Pinyin and check.

    Hello Prusten,

You can go into the registry and remove the language as well.

-Click Start > type regedit in the start press menu search box on enter

-In the left pane of the registry editor, navigate to the following:

    HKEY_CURRENT_USER > software > Microsoft > CTF > SortOrder > language

According to your description, you should see the following in the right pane:

3 buttons with the tracking data

    (1) 00000409 (represent in English)

    (2) 0000040 c (is in French)

    (3) 0000042a (is Vietnamese)

  • The language bar shows when the user account control appears, supposed to be hidden.

I've been looking for an answer to this one so vain if this question has already been answered please point me in the right direction. I chose to hide the language bar after a reinstall of windows 7, but whenever the user account control appears I see the language bar sitting there, mocking me. I don't see any option to close, only to hide. It does not show during normal activity, only when the user account control POPs asking if I want to allow a program to run. It's driving me crazy.

    Thanks in advance

Old post I know but I cannot believe no one could help you guys, I recently noticed this was happening on my pc, have no idea why, but I guess it was something to do with installation/un-installing new software. In any case, here is the solution, because I don't think that these guys have a clue of what you're going on, of course, lol.

    Click on:

    Beginning
    Control Panel
    Clock, language and region
    Regional and Language Options
    Keyboards and languages
    Change keyboards...
    Language bar
    Hidden
    Ok

Now return to the regional and language options and then click:

    Administrative
    Copy to reserved accounts

    * Type password *, click on:

    System accounts
    Ok
    Ok

If for any reason any you do not see a password for copy to reserved accounts, and instead, option you have this pop up with checkboxes:

Copy your regional and language settings to these accounts:

    Default user account (new users)
System accounts (local system, local service, and network service)
Just check the two of them and ok.

I also had the same problem on Windows XP before.

    Where is the problem?

I have 2 accounts: 1 Administrator and 1 user. Both accounts have the same problem.
On the home screen, everything is OK (there are no English in the list).
Side for Japanese (IME), I also have the Russian in the language list, so when there also English in this list, it makes it really difficult to switch between languages using a keyboard shortcut.

Somethings happening certainly with the language bar in Windows 7 RTM (7600).

My Setup was quite with English UK.
Today, I had the language bar appear suddenly on the taskbar without apparent reason. When I clicked on the language bar, he revealed to British and AMERICAN English.

I checked in Control Panel > regional settings and parameters of UK are the only ones to be installed. US English is not there at all under 'keyboard and languages' or annywhere elsewhere in the applet. Despite this, I couldn't have the language bar to stop showing the choice between UK a U.S..  the locale system are set to UK, as are the default values for new user profiles. Language of the United States seemed not anywhere in the applet in the Control Panel, because I created just like UK during the installation of the OS. (it was a clean install, not upgrade)

US English should not be able to appear at all in the language bar, given that American English is not installed in the list of languages in the locale. The only language installed is English UK. Surely I would not see the language bar, if I only have one set of language and regional settings installed?

In the end, I could solve the problem by adding in the American language in "keyboards and languages", apply the settings and then recede in the locale and removing the American language again. After you apply these settings again, the language bar is now gone again.

But the parameters resulting in the Panel are no different from how they were in first place.

This is not a show-stopper, but will be very boring if it continues to be. I'll post back if it isn't

  • Sequence keys in the language bar back to a strange 'by default'

    Hello world

I use several European languages (Latin alphabet) more the simplified Chinese IME on a daily basis and, in Windows, I've always had (LAlt + SHIFT + n) keystrokes for each of them.
The problem in my Windows 7 Enterprise (at College), is that the keystrokes going back by default without any reason (often I discover after will be identified in the morning from sleep). Also weird is that the default 'come back' seems to save the Chinese IME, which kept its sequence of keys as LAlt + shift + 4 without problem.
My system is in simplified Chinese, but I would like as my default keyboard in Australian English. I tried to play now with these variables. If my default keyboard is in Chinese I can return to my settings favorite without a problem... but if I select my default keyboard in Australian English, the sequence of keys to the Chinese IME stops working.
I don't mind too much if the default keyboard should match the language of the system due to a bug... as long the keystrokes remain in place and allow me to quickly scan between languages!
Other people with the same issue? Ideas how to solve this problem permanently?
    See you soon,.
    Alfonso

    Hi Alfonso,.

This problem may occur because of keyboard settings are corrupt.

First of all, I suggest you to check the language bar and keyboard shortcuts.

    a. open the language bar settings.

    b. Select Text Services and input languages. First we will click on "language bar".

    Language bar settings:

    Radio button settings you:

Floating above your documents, the default language bar (where you can always reduce to the taskbar).

Anchor the taskbar by default (you can always expand it into floating mode), or hide it completely.

The boxes below that allow you to:

Make the language bar floating, semi transparent when not in use, and

Display additional icons at any time, even in the taskbar: help maximize (float) and parameters and also icons for speech recognition if you use those.

Show text labels when the language bar is floating, as in the example at the top of this page. In other languages like Spanish, labels can also appear when it is docked in the bar of tasks, but Chinese IME only display the labels in floating mode.

    Keyboard shortcut settings

The next on watch the Advanced key settingstab:

Key advance settings, you will find options to disable or modify the any of them by clicking on the "Change Key Sequence" button... ».

For example, changing "between the input languages" accent grave (') and put the switch of layout at least save me from myself most of the time.

  • What shortcut should I use to turn the language bar? Is there a way to change my default language in the language bar?

Hi, I love to type in English and Japanese.  The Japanese Bar already has an English option it contains.  So my questions are:

-Can I do Japanese - Romaji (English in the Japanese bar) my default
-How can I switch the Japanese typing styles without clicking every time I need to change IE: shortcut keys
-If the above are not possible there are at least the keys that toggle between English and Japanese in the language bar?
    Thanks in advance!

    Hello Lioaj88,

Please check these Japanese IME keyboard shortcuts.

To switch between English and Japanese:
SHIFT - ALT: toggle between English and Japanese fashion

    Keyboard shortcuts

ALT-~ (tilde): Cycles between kana and direct entry mode

ALT - SHIFT: Travels of available languages

ALT-CAPS_LOCK:  Past in katakana input mode

CTRL-CAPS_LOCK: Past in hiragana input mode

Control - ~: Switches between the current entry mode and the English mode within the Japanese IME.

TIP: It is tedious to switch between input mode Hiragana and direct entry through the language bar. Instead, you can switch by pressing Alt + Tilde (key below ESC on your keyboard).  So, if you need to type Japanese, press Alt + Tilde and start typing. When you are done press Alt + Tilde again to revert to English. To get the same result in Japanese mode, press Control - ~.

    I hope this helps.

    Thank you
