  I have a Sony Vaio VPCEH computer laptop with Windows 7 and when I run the disk I got with the printer on my laptop, that the installation procedure works in what concerns the section "Install printer Software". When you are prompted to turn on the printer and connect the cable USB to the laptop it says 'USB not recognized '.  I tried all 4 slots USB into my laptop but the USB still appears as an unknown device with an exclamation point in a yellow triangle. I searched internet solutions and tried to uninstall the unknown device in Device Manager and restart the installation with the disc, I also tried clicking on the unknown device driver software update but it says the software driver is up to date and still, it shows as an unknown device and is not recognized. I also tried to uninstall the HP software from the disc on my laptop and that reinstall but nothing has worked. I felt for over 2 weeks now and have not been able to use it because of this problem and I really need for University, so I would be very happy if someone could please give me a solution to this problem

  Because the printer is not detected on the Mac, it may be the USB port of the printer.

  What happened when you tried to install the printer on Mac?

  I'll try not to waffle too guys, so here's...

  Right my PC running Windows XP. I also have itunes installed on my PC (I have an iphone 4). Upward until yesterday my iphone and itunes were working well, (once I plugged my iphone in the itunes USB port recognised that my iphone was plugged and synchronization was fine etc.).

  But now when I plug my iphone to PC to sync with itunes, I get a pop up box on the lower right part of the screen that reads... "USB not recognized one of the USB devices has malfunctioned, and Windows does not recognize."

  After visiting about 5 different sites now "Ways to solve this problem", believe it or not, I still have the problem bloody! :(

  A site proposed shutdown PC and unplug it from the power supply, then plug it back start-up and back... this as did not work!
  The other they say that I should go to Device Manager, uninstall all the USBs then restart... it did not work either.
  Tried a system restore
  Tried to reinstall itunes

  • Start the Device Manager by typing the following in the same command prompt window

  devmgmt.msc

  • In Device Manager, click the view menu and select "Show hidden devices".
  • You should see a category just after "Non-Plug and Play drivers" named "other devices."  Chances are that there will be a big exclamation yellow mark beside it.  When you expand the "other devices" you should see several non identified "USB devices."  Uninstall all this.
  • Reboot (with the iPhone NOT connected).

  As you have checked the hard disk on other computers and it gives the same error message that means there is a problem with the hard drive so I suggest you contact the manufacturer of the hard drive to get help.

  Remove the card from the computer - set aside for a bit (at least a few minutes) - pending
  Restart the computer - once it is running re - insert the card. Then - click right on the

  If this help not the card is probably defective (assuming that other cards work in the drive so
  the drive is not defective). In some cases the data can be retrieved from a card however is it expensive.
  Check with a real computer store and online.

  Following a system freeze (screensaver is the alleged perpetrator), the usb keyboard is not recognized.  The mouse works in all ports and when it is plugged into the keyboard. IPhone recharges also through the keyboard. Recovered last time after several reboots and keyboard buffering in after start-up.  This time, no luck. Next steps?

  I had EXACTLY the same problem.

  New iMac and USB keyboard. He works first and the iMac would stop then find the keyboard.

  I tried to reboot several times, but that did not always help. My Bluetooth mouse doesn't work. I get to the login screen and I can't type my password (because my keyboard is not be found). I get a message on my screen that the bluetooth keyboard is "impossible", when I don't have a bluetooth keyboard and my USB keyboard is plugged. I tried all USB ports, no luck! I just found a strange way around the issue. I used a keyboard extension cable to plug into the same USB keyboard and it works now. No logical sense... I hope that this might work for you too. • LaserJet Pro P1102w installation problems - USB not recognized during installation

  Struggling to configure the P1102w - using the installation DVD that accompanies it, I go through the steps. When I get to ' turn on the printer, connect the USB cable to the computer ' the printer is not recognized. Is not dismiss it, he just can't get it - it is with Windows 8.1.

  (1) it has been infected by viruses, so we had to make a Virus removal on his computer.
