FATAL error after Power Cycle - GVRP associated?

Hi all

Happy new year!

I have a network of four 300 switches of the series of small businesses. All are running the version of the 1.3.5.58 software (latest version).

Three of them are connected by 2 groups of LAG to the central switch that in turn connects to the router facing the internet. There are no loops in the architecture and protocols spanning tree is running. There are a total of 4 VLANS and GVRP Protocol is enabled with the four VLANS created statically on the main switch.

Normally, everything works very good and is perfectly stable.

However, a power outage this morning resulted in a cycle of power on two of the switches. They did not recover gracefully and kept restarting.

I removed the ports belonging to groups LAG in the main switch (not affected by the power cycle) and then rebuilt in order to recover the connectivity and restore normal operation.

Both of the switches which restarted several entries in their logs like this: -.

% GVRP-F-NOSTATREG: GVRPP_checkStaticToDynamic_update: Port is not declared statically on vlan 100 * FATAL ERROR * task Reporting: BRMN. Software version: 1.3.5.58 (date October 10, 2013 time 17:15:41) 0x16adbc 0x166f28 0x6df2b0 0x48fad8 0x4903e8 0 x 490608 0x51a234 0x79dfd8 0x7b9f8c 0x7c1500 0x445d 88 0x41e04c 0x7d4c80 0x61cb68 0x1223f0 * END OF FATAL ERROR *.

Has any seen this before? I made a mistake of 'beginner' with GVRP configuration?

Kind regards

Andy.

Hi Andrew, Yes, that sounds all right. Essentially every change made to the master advertising GVRP wide affects each vlan, not one of them. So I think that restarting the switch downstream which forces to join will update properly for the master join message.

    Hi Verisetti,

Have you installed security software after formatting windows?

If so, you can uninstall the security software temporarily and check if you receive the access violation error.

If the uninstallation of security software solves the problem, you may need to configure the settings of the software of safety accordingly. Please contact the software vendor for assistance in this regard.

Note: Make sure that you install the security software after the trial.

What about Windows vista product ID, you can try to validate Windows and check if it helps.

  • TOSHIBA Power Saver - fatal error OX50

    Hello

Recently, I have a big problem, my Toshiba power saver.
It triggers a fatal error OX50 and I tried reinstalling several times and it doesn't work.
Please how can help me solve this problem?

    Hello

Fatal error with Power Saver hmm I read a few threads on similar problems and it does seem that the completely OS restore Toshiba recovery CD could help settle the energy saver

But may I ask if you install all the drivers in the correct order?
Usually the installation instructions are always placed on the page of the Toshiba driver and it s necessary to follow this guideline.

  • Fatal error C6380 install on Windows 7 32-bit

As the title suggests, HP C6380 AIO install the software on a laptop HP with Windows 7 32 bit. First, the closed disc had only driver for XP/Vista and Mac package. I helped the owner by telephone with the installation in a first time. He has inserted the disk and started installing program. Gets through extraction, spash HP install and starts actual installation by checking the system and install then real begins. Almost immediately, he gets a fatal error showing the folder Data/Local/Temp/xxxxx of user/Application as the location of the error. Through a process of checking online for the solution. Said the solution found and loaded on the desktop. Completed unsuccessful installation uninstalls and asking to reboot.

To restart, I run the solution file. No really help. I have the printer set up on its wireless network and checked that it is there and works. The problem seems to be with the software package and the installation on Windows 7. I downloaded the package in 32-bit Windows 7 and tried to run to settle. I get the same fatal error after unpacking and checking system. Same spot, same error message.

The user is configured as an administrator account.

I have a right-click the software downloaded and run as administrator.

Also checked and resolved any issue of property to the admin user.

I tried to download and run the XP/Vista package, but it does not, claiming that it is not for Windows 7.

I WAS able to install the new printer in the printers from Windows 7 folder. He recognized and installed the C6380. Print test page with success. All right. But we cannot use all the features and options without the bundled software. I need a solution to get this loaded software.

    Thank you

    Dave

I found a fix for the problem so I thought I would post it here. I did go to the printers & Devices folder and do a printer installation. I leave install and search for Windows 7. After the installation is complete, I restarted the AIO software and it went flawlessly. I have now all features.

    Good luck to all.

I just installed XP and I came across a problem that is boring. When I finished to install Power Saver and the driver, I got a message saying fatal error and I thought it was because I haven't restarted. Remove your old system energy saving. You must remove the driver and utility.
Then reinstall the computer and clean the registry using the freeware like CCleaner.

Then install the driver of saver of power and after reboot the new install standby power plant.

  • Fatal error of TOSHIBA Power Saver 0x51A on Satellite M115-S3094

    Hello

By the subject, that's the problem. Unfortunately, my computer which is Toshiba M115-S3094 has just recently a fatal error with the Toshiba Power Saver program like 3 days ago. The Toshiba Power Saver not only does not want to work, but it is even more present in the taskbar. First, I went to the properties to be able to restore the program, but nothing helped.

Then I tried to uninstall and then reinstall the program, and he always gave me the same problem with the error: the program ends. Error fatal 0x51A. Right now, my laptop does not on the mode of power supply Toshiba but on common Windows system, such as the presentation or the laptop.

So I need help to restore the Toshiba Power Saver. I run Toshiba M115-S3094 with Windows Media Center Edition.

    Hello

Satellite M115 seems to be a Toshiba laptop because of the 5 at the end of the number.
In this case, you must use the Toshiba on the Toshiba site energy saving us. Did you?

Maybe you used the right utility electricity saver, so possibly that some registry or system files keys are damage in this case install the new OS for the Toshiba Recovery CD would be desirable.

  • Re: Toshiba Power Saver fatal error. Code 0 x 0

    Hi all

I recently received this new notebook Tecra M10 (model PTMB0A - 00M 001) replace my laptop to existing business. It came loaded with Windows XP and built by the standard portable computer generation.

It works fine except that at startup I get the error message "a fatal error has occurred. The program will end. "Code: 0x0.

I did some research and I think that the original version may have been compromised, because there aren't has no files in the directory C:\Program Toshiba Saver except for a TPSTrace.log that has this message inside: "a fatal error has occurred. The program will end. "Code: 0x0 rental: TPwrSave.cpp (140). The Power Saver software claims to be v7.11.00.

I downloaded the latest version 7.11.10 (for XP) and when you try to install, the software asks you if it can uninstall the existing version and as it tries, the fatal error code: 0 x 0 occurs which always uninstall, and I suppose that reinstall it. It seems a pity to restore from CD lose all data and other software that is very good because of this software pooey to save energy. Given the original installation was probably standard, there is no guarantee that even if I do a system restore on CD the same problem not re - manifests.

Is there a way I can do XP think software is deleted (it seems to be absent physically, but XP think it is present) by forcing an uninstall. I can then try to reinstall it to see if I can do better than what it was when it was delivered to me. Otherwise, I'd be more than happy to just work without it, for the trouble it causes.

    Thanks in advance.

    Raymond

You must delete it from the registry.

Try CCleaner first, it may be able to remove the bad registry for you keys. (google for "CCleaner")

Otherwise, run Regedit, and then search for "to sleep". Make sure that you delete, in order to ensure the results refer to Toshiba Power Saver.

PS. back up the registry first. You can do this by creating a Restore Point in Windows. (Panel of-> system)

    Hello

I put t know exactly what's wrong, but I remember these problems might appear if the drivers, tools, and utilities are installed in the correct order.
The installation instructions document is no doubt placed on the page of the Toshiba driver.

The order is very important and necessary if you want to install the Toshiba applications on your operating system.

I think you need to first install the driver and utility.

But everything should be described in the installation instructions

    Hello

Have you tried to reinstall the Toshiba power saver utility?
    Please do it!

I had a similar problem of Eve on my laptop satellite.
I finally solved this problem by reinstalling the energy saving and the utility of Modules common Toshiba.
The common modules are required to run other programs from Toshiba as for example energy saving.

Just another clue; especially this program error appears because of a corrupted registry.
You can use the freeware like CCleaner to clean the registry entries.
