I wonder why Microsoft support engineers never seem to be able to view instructions on how to view event logs in the event viewer on the forums?

Would it because there is no article KB Microsoft reference and copy/paste?

Perhaps they should start to reference articles of JoseIbarra JB!

Here's what you should do if you see those messages in the case of the Observer newspaper (and much more information on the Event Viewer logs) If you wish to post your events here so the technical support engineer Microsoft can help decipher what you see:

Here is a method to display specific information about individual events.

To view the logs in Event Viewer, click Start, settings, Control Panel, administrative tools, event viewer.

A shortcut to the event viewer is to click on start, run and enter in the box:

    %SystemRoot%\system32\eventvwr.msc

Click OK to launch the event viewer.

The most interesting newspapers are usually the system and Application logs.

Some newspapers such as security and Internet Explorer may be completely empty or have just a few items.  The default settings for XP wants do not connect all this activity, unless you need to solve a problem in these areas.  If you enable logging for them the papers fill up quickly and could adversely affect the performance of your system with all the extras (often unnecessary) activity.

If you have Microsoft Office installed, it has its own newspapers, and they can be empty or occasional boring activity very little or, if there is no problem with your desktop applications.  It's normal.

Not every event is a problem, some are informational messages that things work very well, and some are warnings.

However, no event should defy reasonable explanation.

Each event is sorted by Date and time.  Errors will be red Xs, warnings will have yellow! s.
Informational messages have white is.  Not every error or warning event means that there is a serious question.

Some are excusable at boot time when Windows starts.  Try to find only the events to the date and time around your problem.

If you double-click on an event, it will open a window of properties with more information.  On the right are black up and down arrow keys to scroll through the open events. The third button that looks like two overlapping pages is used to copy the details of the event in your Windows Clipboard.

When you find an interesting event that occurred at the time of your question, click on the third button at the top and arrows to copy the details and then you can paste the details (right click, paste or CTRL-V) the text in detail here for analysis.  Remove all personal information from your information after you paste If you are forced to do so.

If you paste an event, it will look something like this annoying system startup event:

    Event type: Information
    Event source: Service Control Manager
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 7035
    Date: 14/07/2010
    Time: 17:54:18
    User: Jose
    Computer: computer

    Description:
The Remote Access Connection Manager service was sent successfully a starting control.

To get a fresh start on any log of the event viewer, you can choose to clear the log (the log backup is available), and then reproduce your problem, then just look at the events around your show and troubleshoot events that are happening when you have your question.

  • HP 15 Notebook PC: PC slow

    Hello

I bought this computer a year ago. I use it for much. Check my email online (i.e. Gmail) and my iPod was updated (for example, iTunes).

It was slow when I got it, it's still slow. Typing in this forum is slow. My PC is delayed in the visualization of the characters, I type.

It started with Windows 8, and it was so long. Microsoft offered a free upgrade for Windows 10, so I did, it could solve the problem of hope. I did, but it does not solve the problem.

I'm late to display this problem on a forum so far because I was hoping that I would be able to fix myself through Google searches. So far, I've come empty-handed.

I think that it is not that I have too many things on my computer.

I posted the details of my PC below.

If there are other details, I can provide to help solve the problem, please let me know.

    Thanks in advance.

    Peter

OK, I do not work for HP and I will take the liberty to say that it is. You have published hundreds of lines of specs without meaning, but this is all I need to know:

Processor: AMD E1 - 2100 APU with graphics Radeon (TM) HD (2 CPUs), ~1.0GHz

The processor is dreck, garbage, garbage, garbage. It doesn't have on a computer that is running something newer than Windows 2000. Your cell phone has a faster processor. And it is soldered to the motherboard, so there is no possible upgrade. You can change this and tweak that and it will always be slower than h * l.

Try to sell this thing to someone else or give it to your nephew you don't really like a lot and get a new laptop computer. I hope that you have not paid a lot for it. Next time that ask questions about what you buy and try to understand where the product is located in terms of performance relative to other competing products. Get at least an i3 processor. It is worth the money. Don't be cheap though, you lose your investment.

It is not defective. He performs as expected there just no be it power.

Sorry to be too blunt, but it's the truth.

  • ConfigFree does not work on my Tecra S2

ConfigFree has stopped running on my Tecra S2.

I uninstalled the version I had and installed the version 5.00.45 (cfmain.exe version 5.0.0.119) that was the same thing, I had.

These are the entries in the event log generated when cfmain.exe surprises:

    Event type: error
    Event source: app error
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 1000
    Description:

    Event source: app error
    Event category: no
    Event ID: 1001
    Description:

    NDSysTray.exe works well, however.

    If anyone has experienced this?

    Hello

The error is revealing as failing cfmain.exe application.
I guess that it is a configfree file.
I don t think someone will tell you exactly why this is happening.
It's a software problem, and in this case the best way is to reinstall the application ConfigFree again.

I am extremely grateful for any help, this problem is about to drive me
    crazy!

    I solved my problem...

To temporarily disable closing kick, after that the warning popup will appear, I went the prompt commands and typed in 'shutdown-a' so I could help out.

Then I went in under the Application Event Viewer and saw that some services weird I don't need anyway did not start because they had missing information/dll registry info.  It was originally the svchost.exe service to fail (and default recovery for this is to reboot)

I stopped the weird service (in this case, it was Hello) because I didn't need anyway, and went into the properties of this service and past earlier in "Manual" "automatic".

    Good luck

    Hi GeorgeFrey,

It appears from the description of the problem, the computer stops using 'sleep'. I understand the inconvenience.

This problem may occur because of the wireless adapter.

I suggest you to uninstall and reinstall the wireless network card drivers and check if it helps. Download the latest version of the drivers on the computer manufacturer website.

For more information, see the links below:

Update a hardware driver that is not working properly: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows-vista/Update-a-driver-for-hardware-that-isn ' t-work properly

It will be useful. For any other corresponding Windows help, do not hesitate to contact us and we will be happy to help you.

    Kind regards.

I use Windows 7 Ultimate x 64. I found that when I review the folder that contains large files (more than 5 GB each, for example the HIDEF mkv files), Explorere.exe stopped working and restart.

However, I can open these files when I open them directly from the program (i.e. KMPlayer). Here are 2 events after restart and Explorer.exe crash. I got them from event viewer

I am facing this problem in Mode safe too!

    Hi Akash,

It turned out that the last update Windows 10 from a few nights ago solved the problem. Now, I think the update of Windows 10 a few weeks ago to corrupt some library/driver LR and some other raw editors use. I shot of LR on and off for two days now without any problems. I think that this experience should help me (and probably you) in the future to try to identify the mysterious causes of application failures.

Appreciate your patience to stay with me to try to understand what was going on.

Uninstallation of all is probably too kill. Uninstall both PrPro & Sg via Adobe CC Cleaner, disconnect & again in the Office CC, then download/install application that two charges could be a good thing to try though. Make sure you reboot after the uninstall.

  • Extendscript constant crashes

I use CS4 on Windows XP 32-bit, and try to work on manuscripts. Unfortunately, extendscript constantly crashes or stops responding simply. I have the current updates. I have 3.92.115 Extendscript and ScriptUI 4.0.38 with Illustrator 14.0.0.

I don't see updates for CS4 AI / AI 14. Are there really no updates other than the update to CS5?

Did anyone else here use the ExtendScript console to write scripts? Is there a better alternative that doesn't crash so often? It crashed even when I went on during the night.

Failing application extendscript toolkit.exe, version 3.0.0.41, failing sccore.dll module, version 3.92.115.1747, address failure 0x0000fd2e.

    or

Hanging application ExtendScript Toolkit.exe, version 3.0.0.41, hang module hungapp, version 0.0.0.0, hang address 0x00000000.

    or simply:

    Fault 1034971652 bucket.

    Any suggestions?
